Not sure how I feel about them using non Intamin parts on Drop Tower if that's true. Sometimes its not good to use aftermarket parts. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk

Cedar Point TO REOPEN MONDAY JUNE 9
PKIVortex replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I'm just talked to Kings Island and they are going to find out if we can go to Kings Island tomorrow for the event since CP is closed, They are suppose to get back to me. -
Nope they changed that news story no decision has been made about tomorrow as of yet!
-
According to Cedar Point no decision about Sunday has been made yet.
-
I hope I'll still be able to go to Cedar Point tomorrow for Coasting for Kids. I know what happened with the water main break is out of Cedar Point's Control but I worked really hard for this event.
-
I was thinking this exact same thing!
-
Thanks Don will this be the same procedure at Cedar Point? I know the two consecutive rule is in place at all parks. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk

Like what has been said before, these older steel coasters are going to be rougher then the newer ones. I love the newer steel coasters and the how smooth the run, but I also love the outta of control feeling of the older steel coasters. And I'm one of the few who doesn't think most Arrow Coasters are rough. I love Vortex, Magnum, Adventure Express etc.. Magnum is still my all time Favorite ride at Cedar Point, and Vortex is at Kings Island.

I don't mind the new rule, I just want to know what a brake consists of? Will it just be changing seats, waiting in the exit until the next train or walking around via the Fast Lane line?

I remember the park being open on Halloween night the first year they had Fear Fest, (2000) I remember well cause I worked it, and only select rides in Action Zone where open, and I was the only Level 1 operator that night for Top Gun. I believe the park was only open 4 hours, 7pm till 11pm. I also remember Son of Beast going down that night and was down for a while that evening. Everyone flooded over to Top Gun and we only had one train on the track.

I have hit a total of $460, However I'm doing the event at Cedar Point this year.
-
So WCPO is saying the ride reopened today after the state reinspected the ride, is this true?
-
I entered my off line donations as I received them. I'm still wondering what a brake is going to considered after the 2 rides? Changing seats, walking around through the Fast Lane Line, or waiting in the exit for the next train?

I believe it was 2001 when the name was changed to just Flight of Fear the same year the OSR were removed and lap bars appeared.

Cedar Point's New All Day Dining Plan
PKIVortex replied to Ride On_17's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
That's cool I was just asking. Paramount did not allow such a thing when I worked at KI even if you went in with an employee. But that's cool. -
It was actually a free Large Fountain drink, I do not have a bottle as of yet.
-
I'm just wondering why they are including drinks when they are not suppose too, I mean I'm not complaining, but I was expecting to pay for my drink both times. All I did was tell them I had the season pass dining plan, they scanned my pass and they told me I was good to go.

Cedar Point's New All Day Dining Plan
PKIVortex replied to Ride On_17's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Are non employees allowed to go to the Employee Cafe? I know when I worked at KI the Employee Cafe was only for Employees and they would check Employee ID's if you were in street clothes. -
Thanks, I didn't think it would be, I was just posted what a local news station in Dayton was saying.
-
Okay don't know how accurte this is, but WDTN channel 2 out of Dayton is reporting the ride is open as usual. Here is the link to that story. http://wdtn.com/2014/06/02/smoke-fills-flight-of-fear-ride-at-kings-island/

We added this to our passes on Saturday and used it twice and both times they didn't make me pay for my drink. So I'm not sure what's going on here, cause all information about the Season Pass Dining Plan says drinks are not included.
