I was disapointed on the lack of 35th Anniversary merchandise. I hope they will sell some at some point. They have always had shirts, hats, shot glasses etc. But none was to be found this past weekend, I checked in all of the shops.

I do want to let everyone know, the belt on the test seat for Banshee is not the belt that is in row 4. That seat belt is the standered belt that is on the rest of the train. Row 4 belts are Red. I couldn't fit in the test seat by like half an inch, but I waited anyway and was able to ride in row 4. However weird thing is a pic I saw from Media day did have the red belt on the test seat? So if you try the test seat and it has a black belt on it and your close to getting it to fasten, try riding in row 4 you should be okay.

I was shocked to see that the train was also not open.

I think they should of cut off Fast Lane today. How is it fair for them to keep getting shirts. Also its Fast Lane not Walk on lane which KI thinks it is. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk

Holiday World 2014 Park Map
PKIVortex replied to darkmarkman's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Sad news, at least I got a chance to experience it a few times. It also makes me wonder if Shoot the Rapids will be next. See these Intamin rides are CRAP! Sorry but that's just my opinion. How many years was Giraffica/Pilgrims Plunge in operation? I do not recall when it opened, 2006 or 2007? -
Oh No sorry to hear about that. I hope everyone involved is okay.

I just read in the latest Kings Island newsletter that they will be offering a Dining Plan for all season for Season Pass holders. No prices were listed but it said to stop by any ticket window for more information.
-
They tried that back in 2007 with Flight of Fear I don't think it did as well as they thought.

Okay but why do we need a post everytime I ride is seen testing? The Park officially opens in a week I would hope they are in full force in testing right now. Good grief... just like DrummerKiD said- in case anybody wanted to see it. It's exciting to see the park awaken after a long cold winter. I was just asking a question. I mean seriously though rides are going to be testing when we are only a week out from opening. It'd good to be excited. I didn't mean to upset anyone. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk

Nope it was testing yesterday morning, a pic was caught from the webcams. The piece of track has been replaced it just has not been painted orange to match the rest of the coaster. Hopefully they will get that done in the next 7 days.

But if you miss a payment or your card is declined then your pass will be inactivated until payment is made.

The dates are no longer highlighted after that day has past. They tweeted yesterday that it was the first day.

Pass Processing actually started yesterday.

I just signed up for the event again, but decided to do it at Cedar Point this year. I have a goal if I can raise at least $300 dollars I will shave my head. http://support.gktw.org/site/TR/CoastingForKids/General?px=1003066&pg=personal&fr_id=1233

When I worked at Kings Island and operated Vortex, Adventure Express, and Top Gun (at the time) I made certain that I counted the empty seats correctly, but mistakes can happen. Especially if your sending an empty train and forget to hit the empty train button so it doesn't count. Also no offense to anyone, but in the last few years, Kings Island ride ops have been some of the slowest I have seen in years. Vortex stacks almost every train.
-
Vortex kept the seat belts as of last season anyway.
-
We posted at the same time. What is that other thing with the red type wrapped around it? It looks like it was attached to the train.

Nitro Didn't have those when I rode it back in 2009.

I have heard Diamondback has received Seat Belts for this season. Do not know if this is true, but if it is I don't see a reason why it would need a seat belt.
-
Yep it has. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk

I actually remember days with light staffing they would sometimes run Backwards for about half the day than Frontwards have the day. I do however miss the Backwards side. I can't believe its been gone 6 years already. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk

Depending on how traffic is that morning they could open the lot earlier as well. They don't want huge traffic jams of people waiting to get into the park. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk

That information has yet to be released. The park doesn't even open till noon on opening day.
