The wheels need to break in, so it will be slow till that happens. If you watch the Firehawk testing video's its slow too.

Not sure if thats true or not, but it probably just sounds better that way. But I have heard that before, not sure if there are any truth to that though.

The sad part about it, those warnings are there for a reason, but most don't even know they suffer from high blood pressure or have a heart condition.

Yep same thing happened on Top Gun a few years ago. But I think she passed away at the hospital and not on the ride, but the ride caused it.

This has been happening a lot on Disney's Coasters? First Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, now this.

They were a movie I have no idea which one, that had a advertisement for Paramount Parks I don't remember what it is. All I remember is they showed a coaster that turned into the Paramount Mountain. This was probably around the time Paramount Parks were formed, so probably a movie that came out on Video in 1993 or so. I don't have a clue though.

Yes the one by Kroger used to have bumper boats. I think the bumper boats storage shed may still be standing? I'm not positive if it is or not, I haven't paid that close of attention to it lately.

Yep, and all of newer Arrow coasters, the chain speed is different when a train isn't on the lift, or if the block ahead isn't clear. Vortex's chain stays the same speed no matter what. Of course if the block wasn't clear it would stop.

Hmmm I never experienced that before. I do know the chain broke on Top Gun though several years back.

The reason it slows on the lift is because the other train hasn't cleared the block. They may have had to hold the train the ready's for a dropped article or something, so that other train may have been delayed entering the station. That is nothing to worry about. As far as the speed it has coming into the brakes. I don't think that Arrow would have designed a ride if they didn't know what they were doing. Besides Vortex at CW does the same thing.

I went to Carowinds in 1994, way before Top Gun, and Borg. But I enjoy my visit, I have to get back there one day.

Food service in all aspects could use a huge upgrade in 2008. Service what Service? You hardly even got greeting, and some of those Food Service employees left much to be desired.

Oh I'm so there on one of those Friday's. I went the one Friday they were open last May, and it was awesome. I would suspect then that the 2008 operating calendar will be released soon.

Any news on when the parks opening day will be in 2008?

...orly? LOL you just proved me wrong sorry, that's what I thought, but they are an access road up there as well. Sorry I didn't quite remember complete I was 13 when WAH closed. By the way, do you happen to have a scan of the rest of that map?
