  1. I'm going to say that they will put some flower beds with some benches, maybe a park map, and lighting directed at Banshee. That's my opinion, I think it wouldn't be very smart to put an actual ride in there. It'd get waaayyy too congested.
  2. But of course! Everything on the internet is true!
  3. Ladies and gentlemen I believe I now know the answer to why we saw the weird markings on the path in front of Sling Shot. They have changed it from an asphalt surface to concrete. I could be wrong but at least this is what it appears to be at the moment. Here's a picture of the Banshee webcam at 4:30 today: (www.visitkingsisland.com/online-fun/webcams) Also the circle in the center of Action Zone has changed slightly as well. It no longer looks like it has three flower beds but instead has a large grey looking rectangle spanning across it. I wonder what its for. Also its hard to see now but earlier it looked like they were placing fences around the other concrete slab portions of Banshee. Can't really tell now though because of all the shadows in the image.
  4. Busch Gardens' parent company is Sea World if I'm not mistaken. But I did show him that Cedar Fair's NYSE ticker is FUN. He found that to be pretty cool.
  5. My business teacher tried to convince me that busch gardens and Kings Island were owned by the same company. People are so stubborn (and should check their facts)
  6. Am I an optimist or pessimist? Oh jeez I don't really know. I guess its based on what it is I'm thinking about. If the question is something like "Will my sports team win?" then I probably have a more pessimistic view because I'm a Reds, Bengals, and Buckeyes fan, and as you know, those teams tend to disappoint. If its something like "Will we have a snowday monday?" I'm definitely more of an optimist because yes, yes we will be having a snowday monday.
  7. Did anyone else notice that the "Wail of the Banshee" blog is down? I mean, I know it was more intended for the build-up of anticipation of the ride but why'd they take it down?
  8. Awesome! I'm looking forward to seeing it!
  9. Is there any way someone could make a full time lapse when theyre all finished?
  10. Woohoo check this out! KIPRs twitter just posted this picture of one of the newly painted Bat trains!
  11. makes me think of the olympics... It's too bad they only last a couple weeks.
  12. ^This video would probably not be so funny if it wasn't 11:30 but good find anyways. I'm dying right now.
  13. You know what could use some textured lighting? Flight of Fear.
  14. Have they started painting the supports "charcoal" black? This picture confuses me because it looks like they have but I imagined this black to be a bit darker. Is that just where they've removed the previous paint job?
  15. Did anybody else see this? This image was from about 10:30 this morning. Theyve extended tearing up the concrete to the entrance of On-Point. Also i noticed the creases on the asphalt at the bottom of the webcam (not pictured here) were only apparent when i checked in the afternoon. Any chance these could just be the shadows of trees?
  16. Another Drop Zone? Flight Commander returns? There are so many rides with a circular base. The possibilities are endless here people.
  17. Thanks for the clarification Don!
  18. Wow. I never thought of that possibility. But I like Tuxedoman's idea better
  19. How do you post a tweet. I need help.
  20. Hello fellow KIC'ers! ' class="bbc_url">@ This tweet is absolutely killing me right now. When I read it a couple of Thursdays ago I got super excited and immediately checked the webpage. Of course they hadn't updated it yet on the site and I was disappointed. Its been a little more than a week and they haven't put it up yet. It seems like they had last years map up by this time but I don't remember when it officially was posted. It seems that with all the changes that have occurred between this season and last (or have yet to take place) that I don't think they'll post a park map until opening day or a few days before. So here are my questions to see if you can answer: 1. Was last year's map posted online by now? 2. Do you think KI will wait until opening day to update the website? And I guess at the same time we don't know all of what's going on with the new change in AZ. So this poses more questions: 3. Will KI publicly announce what they're doing with the circle in AZ? 4. Do they have other things in the works that we who constantly check the webcams don't know about for the 2014? It seems there's been a lot of speculation over a change in theme to AZ so if they don't announce it, we would be able to decipher it through the new park map release (hypothetically speaking). That's why I'm asking. Who knows, we may have to just wait and find out on opening day like we did with the Banshee fence. Excited to see what's coming our way, DBI
  21. The silhouette of the lift hill and GWL is actually pretty cool. I'm glad they gave The Bat its own webcam. Now I don't have to zoom in on the back of the Banshee cam and squint my eyes to see how much painting they've done!
  22. I hope they don't level out that land. It's super wavy and turns into a giant pond when it rains really hard because the one drain just can't keep up with all the water. I have a video of my friends and I playing in it after a storm last summer. I'll try and post it later if I remember.
  23. How funny! My friend thought the same thing this summer while we were there.
