Being in a situation last year where I didn't buy a season pass to Ki,( Relied solely on the free tickets of friends who worked at the park.) I shelled out $10 to go to the beach last year and it was definitely worth it. Kings Island great if you want the whole package but if you are a family that doesn't care about amusement parks and just wants a water park, Kings Island is not a very good option IMO. That's a lot of money to spend to wait in really long lines. I love Kings Island but man Soak City is not what it should be. The capacity on the waterslides is horrible (compare it to a park like holiday world) The metal on the swimsuit policy is very hard to deal with for most swimsuits. The water park is very spread out and has very hot concrete. There is not a lot of seating and a waterpark this size should have more than one lazy river.

I had a friend who had a negative re-hire status due do not turning in a uniform. He called Hr to get it straightened out. Ended up paying for the uniform and resumed working at Ki the next year. I would recommend calling HR or sending an email to whatever department you worked for and explain whatever situation you where in.

I would imagine even if Kings Island were to flip the script and say now no masks (they won't). About the same number of people that complained about the mask policy will complain about the lack of a mask policy and say they are not going.

I completely agree. The Beach had some really intense body slides that were a lot of fun. I actually preferred The Beach to Soak City by a great margin. More fun slides, laid back and never any crowds made it a fun time.

That makes sense. I was more surprised that none of the slides were going anywhere. As Beastforever said the nature of the terrain would make it difficult to relocate. This is sad to me as I really enjoyed The Beaches water slides.

That one actually kind of makes sense. It’s a bar with cornhole and other bar things. People like to smoke when they drink.

I’m willing to bet this won’t be properly enforced and people will be walking down the midways with no masks smoking/vaping.

I honestly wish Mystic Timbers soundtrack would play one or two notches higher in the que line. I find it to be a little quiet. The trailer has some really nice sub bass to it. It would be really cool if in the pre-show room a trailer would be played that included a nice sound system with an ample subwoofer to really get you hyped up for the ride!

I’m curious about how Ki is going to handle its employee benefits this year. For one will KI employees get to go to the park like they normally do? Do they go through the reservation process? Employees also get access to non Cedar Fair parks in the area like kk and holiday world. I’m curious if that’s still gonna be a thing and how that would work with reservations. Also curious to know if they will still get an Orion preview day.

There will be tones of people who don’t respect the policy. Just like the tones of people who don’t respect the smoking, shirt, line jumping, cell phone and numerous other policies throughout the park. It’s sad but the park needs to do a better job. When I worked at the park yeah they told us to tell people when we saw them breaking the rules but we had no real power. After 5 guests not listening to you, you start to get discouraged and not want to say anything anymore. Especially when so many of the guests were drunk or tbh just trashy people who would start confrontation over being told to put a shirt on. Cedar Fair needs to do a better job sticking up for their employees if they want them to enforce their policies. But tbh I think they really only care about the phone policy.

I don’t like wearing masks but the thing is Kings Island submitted one their plans that they were going to require masks to be worn. Masks are part of the reason Kings Island will be allowed to open so soon. Regardless of how you feel about the potential to save another person by choosing to not wear your mask at Kings Island you are jeopardizing your and all of our abilities to enjoy Kings Island in the future. There are so many Karen’s in the world. People will record it and people will post it. The government could easily shut the park back down and say never mind too many people not wearing the masks. It’s not a political discussion, your being asked to do something as part of your decision to go to Kings Island this season. Something no one has forced you to do. Respect the process and enjoy the rides.

Is that the number of total cases were or new cases that specific day not counting the old ones? If it’s over time The number will literally never go down. You could only be getting 5 new cases a day and it would still be an upward trend. New cases that day resetting each day would be very different.

Any idea what when we can excpect an announcement from Kings Island?

Seems like Cedar Fair refused to donate the amount dewine wanted to his campaign.

For Carowinds. Is there some kind of restriction causing them to open so late or are they choosing to?

Cedar Fair said they would need at least 4 weeks of prep time once they were told they could open anyways. Sounds like they haven’t been told anything yet so July was inevitable.

Kings Island will need a few weeks to do the hiring and training process. When I worked at the park a few years ago the re-hire percentage was less than 50% from one year to the next. Combined with some of the employees that they hired earlier in the year might have found other employment by now and they will need to hire a lot of people quickly.

I think the bottom portion of your circle is supposed to represent the three point challenge game that is currently there. The top half definitely appears to be new!
