  1. Delirium did seem short the first time I rode it, but it seemed longer the second time. I don't know why. Scooby was fun, but I'm, going to have to go with Delirium just because it is so intense and thrilling.
  2. I only got 540 on my first ride , but I beat my brother so I don't really care.
  3. I also went today. I got to the park at about 10:00. The sign said SOB, Face/Off and TR would be closed, but only TR ended up being closed all day. In order I rode: Drop Zone, SOB, Delirium, AE, Racer, FOF, Vortex, Beast, Sponge Bob, Delirium again, Face/Off, and Scooby Doo and the Haunted Castle. Delirium was really cool. It was even better than I thought it would be. Sponge Bob was alright, but I thought 7th Portal was better. Looks like they're getting an Indiana Jones-type simulator in next to it though, so that looks pretty cool. Scooby Doo was also really fun. I noticed that Racer got a new sign. King Cobra is still there, some of the track is in a field behind SOB and the rest is in a clearing near The Racer's lift hill. If you go into the Eifel Tower and look right past The Racer's lift to the right, you'll see a clearing with most of KC's track.
  4. I rode it twice today. It's really cool. It's cool to stare up at Drop Zone or SOB, then to see it almost upside down a few seconds later.
  5. I know last year they were having problems with the stairs moving away from the ride so it could start. Today they were having trouble with Delirium's floor moving away. Huss made both...
  6. I agree. A pass preview night is supposed to give SEASON PASS MEMBERS the right to check out the new rides for the year before everyone else does. That should be a right given to all passholders. I remember a few years back when it was like this. I went to season pass preview night in 2001 and the lines were bad, so I haven't gone on one since then.
  7. I heard Subway is where the Sweet Tooth was in Coney, so is the Sweet Tooth gone or did they just move it?
  8. I have a book called the History of Coney Island(Cincy) and a book called The History of Cincinnati Amusement Parks. I think they're in the same series as the PKI book.
  9. I think I'd have to go with The Beast. Delirium will be pretty cool too I'm sure.
  10. I know for sure that Vortex has the same station and some of the same lift hill stairs and footers as The Bat.
  11. I like Spring the best because of the anticipation leading up to Summer. It's also when PKI opens, when baseball season begins, and when school lets out. Summer is cool, but it gets boring after a while.
  12. The Beast because of its scenery and length. It's also an amazing ride at night. SoB is good too, but it's just not The Beast.
  13. There's a Wild Thornberry Cafe at PKD, so I guess it's possible that Wings will retheme, plus it's across from the Wild Thornberries River Adventure. I wonder if they'll still serve the awesome Montgomery Inn ribs though. That sucks about the Sweet Tooth being turned into a Subway. I like Subway, but that was there since the park opened and they had great ice cream. PKI really does need a good sit down restaurant now that the International Restaurant has been closed down for a few years.
  14. I drove by the park last Saturday and the sign still looked the same then.
  15. I think they should just remove it all together due to it's horrible capacity, but they won't because all the little kids don't mind standing in 2 hour lines to ride a 30 second ride.
  16. I wish they did put a modified version of The Bat in , even though it won't happen. It just looked like it had a really cool layout.
  17. Rivertown's atmosphere is much more peaceful and nice, but its only rides are Tomb Raider, White Water Canyon, The Beast, and the train. I'll have to go with Action Zone just because of its rides (SoB, Drop Zone, Face/Off, Top Gun, Delirium). With a new coaster or 2, Rivertown could be one of the best areas of the park. I mean it is called RIVERtown, but it only has 1 of the park's 3 water rides. It used to have 3, but then Kings Mill was rethemed to Nick and Keel Boat Canal became Tomb Raider. A water coaster would go good there.
  18. How are they going to do this? I'm assuming the people with the walk-on passes will just go up the exit ramp, right? Sounds like an experiment in fast pass.
  19. An amusement park is a big open place which has the potential for many bad things to occur. Bombs on roller coasters, guns, etc. They're just looking out for our safety.
  20. I like the burgers at Tucker's (Across from The Vortex). I also like the blue ice cream in Hanna Barbara Land and of course Skyline cheese coneys and three ways.
  21. I'll probably go up to PKI Friday night with my family. If not, I'll go Saturday and spend the whole day there.
  22. I doubt we'll get a Hulk clone. I wonder if the launched lift hill on Hulk has some kind of exclusivity signed for IOA, because no other parks have gotten a B&M with a launched lift hill. Otherwise, I think it would be cool if PKI got a B&M floorless with one.
  23. Any kind of rock, but if they want to get rides more in theme, then I think they should play music which goes with the ride's theme. Adventure Express could have old west type music, Flight of Fear could have techno, The Beast could have scary kinds of music, etc.
