  1. I'd have to say that I miss Phantom Theater the most. Of course I do miss the smurf ride too, but the ironic thing is that if the smurf ride wasn't taken out there would have been no Phantom Theater. I miss the Winterfest thing to. I remember being about four or five years old and eating gingerbread cookies on International Street near the tower.
  2. Actually, they mentioned Delerium, but I belive it was the one at...I wanna say PGA, but I could be wrong. Anyone know the diff? It's the seats, isn't it?
  3. Montel Williams: Paternity tests revealed while riding The Beast! P.S. I don't think that The Racer can actually be used for serious racing.
  4. Hey, I just wanted to point out something that I thought was funny: PKIU sells thongs with the PKIU logo on them! That made me laugh. Anybody know if they've ever sold one? Check it out! http://www.cafeshops.com/pkiunlimited.4650999
  5. Haven't see the book yet but it sounds like it may be a good investment when the time comes. Why is it "Unofficial?" Chef talked like he was given knowledge from the top of the inside, so how come it can't be "Official?" Just wondering...
  6. It's funny because I was wonderin' when admin was going to catch on to the part they removed. I was going to say something, but didn't. Remember, most of the posters, staff and non-staff, enjoy using abbreviations/shortcuts in any situation. It's only natural.
  7. Don't feel bad, Tom. I'm sure the hours spent by pretty much everyone are spent in the "main" part of PKI. I was telling the bomber that I haven't been over there in about ten years! I just don't have time, as PKI is always a one-day affair for me. I'm sure most everyone feels the same. I like it over there, especially the wave pool and the lazy river, but I just don't ever have the time! BTW: is the theming still present along the railroad tracks?
  8. Yeah, I know what you're talking about. Last couple times I was there I looked for a Fred plush, but didn't find one. Just another sign that they're straying away from HB characters.
  9. OK....The PKI quiz is now online, once again, at the above link. Sorry for all the previous errors and this time I think it's gonna be permanent. Thanks for playing and keep giving me feedback!
  10. In light of me being shunned for the bad wording in question six, and in order to fix a couple of spelling errors and to re-word the Sharkey's thing, my quiz is offline at the moment. It should be up by no later than tomorrow morning.
  11. You are right, of course, Yogester. I'll have to change that one around too, but it still shouldn't cause anyone to miss the question.
  12. Yeah, my original idea was to have the following choices: Hat, Shirt, On-Ride Photo, Plush Toy, Other. (not really) There are just too many things to choose from as PKI offers so much. I figured it would be a better idea just for someone to choose something specific and write about it.
  13. Excellent!! I'll have to check it out next time I'm there 'cause I'd love to have a HB Land T-shirt! (I'm sure they make 'em in XL)
  14. As the quizmaker, I have special privileges that allow me to see scores, and there was a person that got 25/25 but I don't think they were from the PKIU forum. Question #6 can be argued, but none of the other rides have a miniature counterpart. If something is miniturized, it is mades smaller (hold on I'm getting there). In this case, the subject, The Beast, that is made smaller is the answer. I may fix it if it becomes a major problem, but for now I'm going to ignore it since I have to take the quiz offline in order to make changes. As for "Dodgem"......oops! I did it twice! Well, it's not part of a correct answer, so for now it'll do. Thanks for all the advice! I'll try to fix it on a less busy day for the site.
  15. I remember when I went last October, I heard the Unchained Melody (Ghost) when I was standing near the exit about ready to leave. Talk about a song that truly captures the mood of leaving the park! I think the Paramount music is cool no matter where you are in the park.
  16. I tried to think of an original poll, so I hope I've done a good job with that. Anyway, what is your favorite piece of memoribilia from PKI? I know that mine's a medium-sized stuffed Dino that I got ten years ago but I'm not sure what store I got him from. My mom claims that I got him from a store in HB Land, but I'm not sure this store's still there. Anyway, I was just wondered what treasure you cherish the most. My Dino is currently on my night stand.
  17. I've never waited extremely long for a ride at PKI. Probably the longest was The Beast back in 1993. I think it was '96 when I went and stood about the same amount of time in line for The Beast, but the spice girls kept me company (It was beginning to become quite a catchy tune, their most popular song ever, as it was being played on the TVs all day.) The same day, which was probably the busiest day I've ever been there, I waited about as long for Days of Thunder. Only time I can think of that compares to these times was when I went in '94 and waited quite a while for Top Gun. I'd say that The Beast has the record for the most time I've spent in line.
  18. UPDATE!!! My quiz is now back online with some modifications. You can take the PKI quiz at http://www.funtrivia.com/quizdetails.cfm?id=128983
  19. The quiz is down right now, in regards to a suggestion that I yank one of my biased opinions from the "interesting info" part of the quiz. I'll also change some of the controversial questions in an effort to make my quiz perfect! Thanks, again to those who have informed me about some incorrectness.
  20. Hehe. Yes, my friend the bomber told me the same thing. READ CAREFULLY! I had more problems with #25 than anything. It has been changed several times and still is not right. I'll try to fix it the best I can. Thanks for the info.
  21. Thanks for telling me! I'll make changes later, since it is not a huge error and shouldn't cause anyone to miss the question. I'm thinking about changing it to "What is the only roller coaster in Oktoberfest."
  22. Well, it's finally done. My twenty-five question quiz about PKI is completed. Just a couple of things: If you want to keep track of your records, first become a member of funtrivia.com using their homepage: http://www.funtrivia.com Next: if you see anything wrong with the quiz no matter what it might be, do NOT send anything to the editors of funtrivia.com. Post it on here, and I'll discuss it with you. Things can get fixed a lot quicker that way, trust me. Anyway, it's online and can be found here: http://www.funtrivia.com/quizdetails.cfm?id=128983 It is not currently in the directory, as it is a new quiz, but it is still playable. Using the above link, you can find another quiz about PKI by clicking on "Paramount Parks." (And eventually this is where you can find my quiz.) Anyway, have fun and let me know what you think! Thanks!
  23. I appreciate the info, guys. I wanted to know because it was one of my questions on my quiz about PKI, in creation at funtrivia.com. I'm gonna change the question, in light of what I'm hearing. Anyway, when the quiz is completed and online, I'll notify everyone. Be looking for that sometime this weekend and test your PKI knowledge. Thanks again.
  24. Someone back me up on this one: Face/Off does not have an on-ride photo. Or does it? I can't remember as I have not rode it very many times. If it doesn't, which I don't believe it does, does anyone think it ever will? Let me know what you think.
  25. OK, here's what I got so far: I know PKI isn't hiring right now but, according to a good friend of mine, employment picks up after Memorial Day. I put in an online application and hope to hear from them this summer. Anyway, I know you're limited in what you can say due to a post on another PKI site consisting of a forum like this one, but can anyone tell me if PKI houses employees? I'm an Ohio resident and I'm 18.
