I love cows, meow meow meow!

Here's my summary: Cedar Fair knows how to make people happy now. Ouimet sees history, and he sees profit too. A wise man he is, and one to lead the company to add this addition. I love every announcement after Banshee, they all have been amazing and really reach out to the guest, not to penny pinch the guest. The additions aid Kings Island in ways that people have been questioning. I E, last year's GT's, I did see that people were very hesitant on how they made that conclusion, and this addition would help to cement their place holding for the time being.

Guy in line at The Bat "Flight of Fear goes from 0-80 in 2 seconds!".
-
I renewed my pass today! I wonder about that day in 2015 that GP members could come to and how that will be. Exciting!
-
I don't know about the other guy, but I am always excited for a new addition to Kings Island after Banshee and what I have been seeing with the other parks. Scooters are a plus, I was not surprised and in fact made a 99% sure statement to a friend of mine, I won of course. I cannot wait to ride them when I get to and even though I will probably look like a sore thumb in the area riding the Scooters, I don't care because I am going to snap all day.

Welcome back to the Off Season KIC! A time of year where we get to sit on our lap tops when we get home, watch POVs of some of our favorite attractions and post on KIC from time to time. If you are new to KIC, welcome! This is the Off Season poll series that lasts all the way up to Opening Day! So feel free to discuss your views and vote frequently! Also, a new function this year, if you have a poll that you want me to post, just PM me and I will make sure to post it as soon as possible! Week I: Best Credit in 2014 With 2014's seasonal operation coming to a close at Kings Island, most of us are now stuck in the Twilight Zone that we call The Off Season. Sadly, we will not be gaining any new credits . But we can cherish what credits we did get, and reflect on what credits we loved the most. It could be a coaster, slide, flat, water ride, or Haunt credit. So, what was your best credit in 2014?

At Slaughter House last night, Momma "Say I love cows, meow meow meow! When ever you hear pig". Now that was hilarious.

I have never really been a big fan of LEDs so this should be interesting. Also, I wonder if they took time to also add in a light show ala WindSeeker, that would be cool! But I would be just fine with it being white.

Maybe it is because I do not mind blood and gore nor most usual scares I don't know. There were places I loved but I didn't really get that scare factor that everyone talked about, I actually expected to get scared with what people were saying. I didn't say I hated it, infact I do like the Haunt theme and the props within. Every Haunt has a kink or two in the beginning, next year it could change and become so much more. Also it should be noted that I would rather go through Kill Mart and Slaughter House RLD if I could only go through two. The Haunt I loved the props inside but I just didn't get the scare factor that people were telling me of.

People have been telling me for weeks to go into Slaughter House: Reloaded, the same for Kill Mart. Both had new methods and semi what was an odd queue set up. Yet they differed greatly on the feel of the Haunts. Kill Mart was home to me personally. High theme mixed with rudimentary products that all combine with the aid of FX and scare actors to make one killer attraction. In fact, I found it to be better than what I expected to see. My favorite part though had to be the plants or the camping area, two great places for some scares. The theme, also, it ran perfectly and smoothly just like a store and it had some amazing look around spots. MY ONLY problem coming from a Haunt enthusiast who makes his own Haunt is the counter scene, a little bit after the clothes scene. That could have easily had a great scare or a great place to have a hydrolic prop to jump out at people. That lack gave me a bit of an upset, but that would later be utilized in the shattered glass scene. Slaughter House: Reloaded though did not really pack my scare meter at all. The theme was superb as it flowed jaggedly yet smoothly coercing with the theme and all. As well, I LOVED the hot dog strands and the bubble scene. Yet when it came to the scares, and how it flowed, it only had a few jump parts and scenes that are more intended for the chiller factor than the jump. BUT the best scene was probably Sam's scene as it did have some scare factor and he did have a nice piggie. But who's to say those were my only favorites? Urgent Scare by far ranked high last night in plot and use of props and scares. For the first night in a long time have I felt like I was actually in a hospital ran by crazies and zombies. As well, did I see the full use of all scares i e the drop box that was never used prior when I went in. Also I LOVED the siren outside and I want to find that mp3 for my phone's ringtone. Who wins? Kill Mart just by a few points above SHRLD &US.

CEDAR Fair has some strange marketing ploys, don't they?

Here's my viewpoint on the subject. The days do not matter, rather, it is the teaching administered. The goal is for the students to pass the final exam and to learn, not make them "serve" a sentence for school incentives. Which on the serve point, WCPO, really? That right there makes me upset, a high school student is not serving a class to pass, rather better diction, or word choice, would be enrolled, required to take. The education system rather should have changes, not days. For example, Charlie's school has x hours of school, and he learns from old text books. Billy's school has y hours of school, and he learns from new text books and reinvented teaching techniques. Charlie's school has more hours, yet he fails, Billy's school has less hours, yet he passes. Education for the workplace, education with College credit (AP comes to mind). Now, after a change of the administration of the knowledge, and further changes are needed, sure go on to add a few more days, just without the days that students do nothing in.

Was sifting through my Disney Literature (which I have many of) and found the 1993 photos of the M.G.M. Studios sans Mickey's Hat, this was also around when Tower of Terror was being built for you Disney junkies. Also pertaining to the original concept art for the park and that little theater, that is such a small place in Sunset BLVD now with the Streetmosphere characters, the flare of the locale props and scenes, and the ToT looming over head. Personally, i just see it as another facade, but a tip "of the Hat" to the history shown here. To me, the park had 4 major icons: The CrossRoads kiosk, The Great Movie Ride, The Water Tower, and the Mickey's Hat. All of which almost everyone sees once or twice a visit, hopefully TGMR or TWT becomes, yet again, the key icons. Hollywood Studios is arguably one of the BEST parks at WDW, the themes, the thrills, the family fun, it's all there. The Water Works Mechanics are one of the MUST SEES here and do stick around the characters with their skits, as they are funny. Also, I HIGHLY suggest checking out The Brown Derby for their Cob Salad, it's the best. I need to get back to my true home parks, I miss them.

A bit from the WDWE: The Sorcerers Hat was something of an icon and an eye sore. Sure, it had a cool shop and shade, but it REALLY took away from the whole feel. Oh well, at least i still have my Sorcerers Mickey Hat from the shop. I feel as if I need to get back down to FL ASAP to see what's going on and get some updates on my attractions. i e Yeti situation(rode it in the first month, Yeti worked, then it didn't), AK expansion, NW Pavillion, heck even Fantasy Land.

^^I caught the point, i'm just saying for those doing research to not use Forum posts as logical data, ss they are biased.
-
I wouldn't exactly call KIC unbiased as everything has bias. Look at our TRs for example, I can find little to no trips by our KICers who go to the waterpark, Soak City at Kings Island. Look at our usernames, everyone likes certain things for a reason, of which changes our outlook on life. Now, it is the issue of finding little biased sources like FOX News with the Ebola case. But hey, I like KIC, it is basically the only "Buzzing" enthusiast community about Kings Island, plus there are some interesting posts here. I would start with some news reports, and leave the forums to last. As forums, again, are biased places where people voice their opinions more than less, not just the facts.

5th Walt Disney World Theme Park?
BB1 replied to Colonel_SoB_fan's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
The BEST out of ALL of the countries were Germany, Norway and Italy. Germany had the Biergarten, which is probably one of the best venues now. Italy had a restaurant called Alfredo's (as I called it) amazing food and amazing ladybug dessert. Norway had this little bakery with strudel, BB1 likes his apple strudel........ I've never ate in France though, doing that on my next trip. -
At least it isn't the Pequod, for Ahab would not be pleased! I've heard mixed signals pertaining to My Magic Bands, as some like them, others hate them. I'll be deciding soon.....
