Ditto, honestly was surprised when I saw it back at the Sweet Spot. If they could offer some baking supplies IE biscuits, cobbler mix, etc. . I think they could seriously drive sales with buy one get one half off or packages like what Knotts does online.

^Let us know how it is. I almost went for it but decided to hold back for what I know is good.

Enrique’s has Pineapple chunks for their burritos and they’re really good, same portions for the burritos. However heads up for the foodies, drink plans have been working sporadically. My drink plan didn’t show up at Enrique’s I’m going to try some other locations. Update- worked at Coney BBQ!

Shipping container bar is still in Action Zone which I’m actually shocked it’s still here and in operation.

I am far beyond the ACE fanboy who wears a jean jacket with every patch from their favorite coasters who have their top 32 steel or wood off the top of their head; or can be caught dead wearing a coaster shirt to a theme park. I elected to un renew my GOCC, I elected to not do coaster events as I actually got bored of the politics in it and I felt like it was getting repetitive for my tastes to go every year. If that's for you that's great and I wish all the best for you, but it's definitely not me anymore. I worked at the park, I frequent the park as a guest , but in no way shape or form am I in the cavalcade of fanboy enthusiasts any more after going into the corporate world as frankly I just simply do not have the time nor effort to put in effort to do so. I spend close to $400.00 some odd dollars for a product with addons that I believed had the same value as the product I bought literally right after I left KI because I loved the advent of having free access to other parks. I have a pass for USO I use quite regularly, which I know gets me certain perks and a clearly defined benefits package. It's a different cadre of benefits to what CF can offer sure but in years past having a CF Platinum Pass gave you these benefits we have been talking about here. If they told me "Access to other park events may be pendant on your home park gold pass" at the beginning of this, I think I would be far more mute on my concerns. I had no intention on going to the CP event, but I understand where people are coming from however I like to know what my money actually gets me as every benefit adds some intrinsic value. Calling customers or better yet enthusiasts who basically already shill for the park enough ad homenems for a switch up of the norms for a pretty large coaster is honestly sad. If you have such an issue with the enthusiast group just read the thread like I have and maybe, possibly, sowing dissent but not going out attacking people on it. If you have time to come to KIC and throw dissent at people, effectively calling them whiny enthusiasts to make some sick point which I still don't understand why you even needed to say that, at people for being upset about something you don't care about and go into depth on it, why not use that time to be more productive than to post on a forum? Yes, I understand park staffing, yes I know quite well park politics, also I know how important this coaster is to CP moving forward. While yes, it may upset people that they won't be able to get in, it's also a logistics issue that the park was not able to rectify. I would even go as far as to argue to create a Gold Pass All Park Passport Day to celebrate all of the new park passport passholders as I can really see that being a hit with all of the passholders in general. I know it sucks, I know it's rough when you already planned for this so far out, but the powers that be decided to do this. At this point, if the chain wants to go this route then looking at where I renew is something I should be taking in consideration. (A topic Ryan brought up in the Tower Topics podcast and I 100% agree)

Remember when you could get a Platinum Pass and not worry about your benefits? Pepperidge Farms remembers In all seriousness I understand from a logistical standpoint why they’re doing this but also I think from an organizational standpoint communication about perks and benefits have been subpar. This is the second time this year that I know of, that a pass “perk” was ripped due to a clause that frankly feels like it’s being pulled too often. I know there’s great people who work in CF, I worked with them, I know their zeal for the guest experience but botched rollouts like this can seriously affect guest sentiments.

Not too long ago the Music Hall was seeking tax benefits from the state and city. I’m somewhat tempted to ask how does the city and state feel that this organization who got a tax break is now destroying a local icon? What does the City of Cincinnati or better yet the state of Ohio have to say on these matters? I place blame 50% on the original owners, 50% on MEMI. They should have known this kind of backlash would come, I’m interested to see if any action may come from the legislative side of things.

My biggest pet peeve about KI WF is that they don’t have operations in the first few weekends of the year. Seeing KK take this on and put up more time for their Christmas event is a very positive nod at their prospects of resilience for the season. I would be very interested to see how KI reacts if at all.

Does the All Park Passport cover parking at your non-home park?

This just made my day! I’m glad to hear that the park actually saw this was an issue and made corrective action same day. Faith in CF restored! -

I’m still confused on why we now have 3 conflicting reports. Shouldn’t this be on an internal cheat sheet? Is there this much of a disconnect that mgt>associate>corporate communications are misaligned? I have receipts, I can even show when I called in my contacts last night. Why is this such a quagmire? -

"Season Pass benefits subject to change without notice. If you plan to visit other Cedar Fair parks with the purchase of an All Park Passport Add-On - Gold and Prestige Passholder benefits may vary by park. Contact the park you are planning to visit for any questions regarding applicable benefits." So this is the fall back the chain is using moving forward. I'm honestly not impressed by the counter point of saying you get your platinum pass benefits and then turning around and removing the one benefit helping you make the decision. Color me not impressed. -
I was able to watch a full run through the first night. I enjoyed it, loved the King Gator float the most. Which to be honest the parades at Universal have always been more exciting for me than the more recently lackluster Disney parades. (Everything after the Mulan/Aladdin/Toy Story/Hercules/Mainstreet Electrical parades I haven't been too keen on. Bourne was one of those attractions I didn't think I would care for but genuinely enjoyed. I would still cast my lot for Velocicoaster and that's definitely not because of late night back row rides that just so happen to use my Express pass after 4.

Hello fellow KIC enthusiasts! I thought I would make this discussion to look at the current happenings in the Universal Orlando Resort including the theme parks, City Walk, hotels and more while also getting ready for Epic Universe to open up! I go down to USOR at least once every 3 months and having went down two weekends ago (the last time being the weekend of the 17th in December which of course it rained then too) I was able to experience Mardi Gras for 2024. Drinks were decent, not as good as the HHN line up of course, but the gumbo was still spectacular. The tribute store was honestly far more than I anticipated, from a turn of the century paddle steam ship, to the ruins of said ship to the swampy home of the Baron Ton Ton. There were several amazingly placed effects that you honestly have to see in person. What are some of your thoughts on the current state of the Universal Orlando Resort?

Does the All Park Passport cover parking at your non-home park?

Per Wayback machine screenshot in 2023 season. You had access to free general parking at Knotts Berry Farms with a Platinum Pass, Knotts Berry Farms themselves confirmed that you cannot park for free with APPGP. Very, very, very upsetting for what I'm paying for and being effectively misinformed per KI's website OR there is a massive miscommunication chain wide. -
Does the All Park Passport cover parking at your non-home park?
BB1 replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
I’m going to be making some calls this week as this has got to be arguably the biggest let down of this change. I was OK with the concept of still getting my platinum pass perks with an APPGP, but if I’m actually losing out on an old perk when I was originally told otherwise is honestly upsetting. I wonder, as it seems to be a copy pasta, if CF corporate has any idea that this is actually happening. Or, if they do, why they have yet to communicate that your perks do not equally translate to the new pass. -

Knotts proper they stated verbatim that gold APP does not apply for parking at Knotts Berry Farms. -
Just got a 404 error after posting with quoted text in the post itself. I don't know if it was due to the text or how but just wanted to give you a heads up!

Does the All Park Passport add-on give me the same benefits as a Platinum Pass? At this point I'm half tempted to call Kings Island or Knotts to confirm this policy as if this is not true I am going to have to upgrade. I was told verbatim that I get the same benefits of a platinum pass when I purchase the 2024 Gold Pass and the all park passport addon. If this isn't true, then I'm going to have to re-evaluate my pass moving forward as the value of the Platinum pass includes that parking availability. Update: Just called the park, GP APP does not include the parking benefit as stated on the Kings Island website that your platinum pass originally had. Prestige passholders get free parking however. Very upsetting as I was planning to either fly or road trip out to Knotts -
KICentral Apparel is now available!
BB1 replied to IndyGuy4KI's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
If at all possible a hat with snapback would be greatly appreciated. It doesn’t have to be a flat bill, but something like a trucker hat would be something I’m open to buying in the future. Also, even though I never wear t shirts outside of under hoodies/sweaters or working out, the KIC t shirt has held up pretty well over the years! -
You’re the one everyone at work comes to for KI info and theme parks in general…..Doesn’t help when you wear your KI 50th jacket to work either.

It has a pretty small taproom, but the mead selection is amazing. The beer is typically solid, I enjoy their Pilsner but they have a lot of exotic beers like milkshake IPA’s that I’m not a major fan on. It’s a perk to have a brewery/meadery this side of the river and the location is close to work to stop off on Friday evenings too.

Honestly for this off season I’ve tried to do something different every weekend. We have Cincy Beerfest this weekend & the zoo lined up, but there’s also a few new breweries I have to hit up before the spring. (And a few I need to go back to like Fabled) Also I finally bought Planet Zoo and it is arguably my most played game besides Baldur’s Gate 3 for 2024.

Back car front seat, definitely need the leg room but it gives that extra kick doing down the first drop. In all honesty The Bat is the one coaster I hope the park gives more tlc for, it’s stuck in its own corner and it could definitely use some theming tlc.
