  1. I learned of this months ago, and have been keeping up with it ever since. The slide itself is huge for any standard, it is definitely pushing the limits. On a side note, there's a blog about this standards idea here: http://coaster-net.com/blogs/428-the-waterpark-revolution/ It's not finished yet, being part 1, but still a good read for the mean time.

Please don't make me feel old, BB1, who should not feel that way at this age. That definitely won't be me, I will be riding The Beast and Banshee far too often to have time for that!
  3. It's cold, period.
  4. I thought we couldn't yell? I'd have to think about it, see if I'm off, or if I can take off. Last year's KIC Events were fun, though, I have never been to this event.
  5. Great scott, Don is posting regularly..... It is odd to think that at one point, we were there.... Now, we have The Bat being painted, the Banshee going up like no tomorrow, and snow on the ground.
  6. I am still looking for the new themes to emerge, yet, I still have my doubts about anything pertaining to a new theme.
  7. Alright, let the second dream of The Bat/FD begin. It was a childhood birthday, yet, I was going to ride The Bat continuously. Though, this time it had cars very similar to the Ghoster Coaster, a classic coaster of mine. So, instead of the whole track being black/orange/grey, it had points of grey, then points to where it was orange, and black repeatedly. It was a fast ride, but somehow the guy behind me gets in front of me, though, he flew off the tracks. I finally got back into the station, rode it a few more, then after I was walking back, and Don was there doing an interview. Now onto a dream that I had a few nights ago, I went onto The Vortex, and instead of staying in the valley, it want all over the Midway. OH and I was riding with a donkey.
  8. Again, BB1's Club is not invited, such a shame tis it. Sounds fun, and a great time for those invited.
  9. I must not like traveling because I don't like change.
  10. Uhhh, you do know this is a Cedar Fair park we are talking about, right? Uhhh, you do know that Cedar Fair is under new management and has undergone an obvious shift in philosophy, right? Yes, and some old philosophies can stick around you know.
  11. As I was surfing the Youtube for videos, I saw one video that caught my eye, the KI Enthusiast Dude. Now in all honesty, I know that this joke is a running play off of many things that may occur about the average KI Enthusiast, but this led me to my next poll :What are some of the common misconceptions of the common KI/Theme Park enthusiast? Please feel free to discuss the video format of this idea as well. (if needed)
  12. Uhhh, you do know this is a Cedar Fair park we are talking about, right? Sorry... just thinking out loud (or typing in this case). Trust me, I love theming, (see my latter rants of BB/SC) but CF is not the kind of theme giant you are expecting. See Paramount Parks vs Cedar Fair
  13. Uhhh, you do know this is a Cedar Fair park we are talking about, right?
  14. Beatles or Elvis? I'll say both, and the modern "pop" culture music, which I hear only "la la la" and a few slurs which are "cut out". BB1, who will listen to his own music at KI, just not on the rides of course.
  15. "That's too old school pops, here's some good music, though it mocks the Shakespearean idea of speech and it talks about terrible things!"
  16. When there are new members, welcome to KIC!
  17. When I saw all of the progress from the past week or so, here is my reaction:
  18. I feel old calling things by the old names. Hey, where's the flying black thingy at the kid's area?!
  19. Please tell me it is not the animal variety. BB1, who hates the creature(s).
  20. As the off season lingers, and snow ladens the ground, I had the exclusive chance to go back into the deep of the basement. As I was looking around for old things that I have wanted to find for a time, I found a few things i think the KIC community would like to see from my collection. (DISCLAIMER: I have a large collection of theme park items, mainly maps, and other small things) So, first a true blast to a favorite attraction of mine..... Tom Cat Taxi Jam, on Flickr Hanna Barbera, on Flickr Logo(front), on Flickr Now onto a favorite band of my favorite classics. HB Figures], on Flickr Boo Boo, on Flickr Yogi Bear, on Flickr PLEASE NOTE: I do not hold any rights to any of the names, figures, used in the photos, I do not mean to infringe on any kind of copyrights, all rights belong to their respective owner(s).
  21. Opening Day, my main issue is that it is a Holy day. I mean sure, I would like to, and I may go to opening day, but really, it's a day that is dedicated to the one who died on the cross on Calvary's Hill. (BB1, the religious enthusiast) Hmmmm, meet up being discussed here: http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php/topic/28538-kic-opening-day-meet-up-2014-ideas/
  22. February, at the latest.
  23. You miss the fact that this post is 11 years old? When it was made there still was a PKI and Cedar Fair would have had no say on this subject. Yet, you miss the fact that the post that I made today was filled with satire and pun? BB1, a man of natural time.
