  1. Hearing one of my favorite parts of the park "old".....makes me feel old. BB1, still younger than Methuselah!
  2. BB1

    Ark encounter

....and might I mention various amounts of evidence points to a God and Jesus.... Scientific BB1.
  3. So this new technology, called "Technogly", has a firm role now? Amazing
  4. KD is the sister park, word gets around my slithering friend, I know far too well the many people who frequent from KD. I would like to see a RMC come to KI, sure it is an excellent coaster manufacturer, which I believe that they could get a great one in the back reaches of the park.
  5. BB1

    Intamin or B&M

How about neither? BB1, reiterating his idea of the magical Vekoma
  6. Just lights changing, no need to fear. Have ye fallen to Off season flu now? BB1, using his protective mask on himself, and his trustworthy battle donkey.
  7. I'm optimistic too, but I must keep a level head with this odd time. I have good hopes, especially with the new additions coming in.
  8. KK is in a good but bad situation at this point, and we haven't even seen the attendance records yet for this 2014 season, therefore it is semi premature to even make any kind of prediction off of it's current condition. It has the upper hand on the selection of attractions and it's own niche. Kentucky technically right now has one small "park", Beech Bend. Which even then it has a few attractions, the major attraction being a GCI coaster by word of mouth. With that, it has attractions that beat out Kings Island, the King of the North in this situation, such as the Flying Machines and the slides. The same can be mentioned about Holiday World, sure HW has a large amount of slides, but it doesn't have the tallest body slide. It is not going to be your run of the mill Cedar Fair park, it is a Hart park, it will be for the whole family. Known for the misc family flats, the moderate coasters, and the high thrill slides. That is a "true" family park. As well, families around Louisville do miss the park itself. I have heard Kentucky Kingdom in every conversation I have with friends from that region, it is missed and now with the opening it has brung about a new sense of fun in the area. "Tradition trumps the new in most classic ideas". Now at the same time one must take into consideration on the present situation. We are looking at a park that has failed not once but multiple times, it is a uneasy market. The Fair Board is the ruler of the land, therefore KK is under that belt that the Fair Board has. As well, the all and mighty Holiday World lingers across the river with it's own mix of attractions and fun. Which to some, is more superior, but to some is not. The current situation on the construction plan is also an negative in the fact that they cannot host all of the attractions in one year, but at the same time it is a perk for guests to return the following year. Therefore, in this stance I cannot simply state "It will fail" nor "It will succeed". Though, I can state that it does have a few hurdles to conquer in this new era, and I hope it succeeds.
  9. Same could be said to the Crocs at BB. Invertigo is themed to having Invertigo, it is in the name! At first, I thought this said "Intamin", then I would have referred you to a Intamin enthusiast who ,many, know and love. What I believe will happen is this, no re-theme period. Speaking of Intamin, what is all this commotion I've heard from some KIC Members about green Intamin track arriving at KI after Banshee is built? Oh nothing, just some people thinking things, keep calm and carry on. BB1, carting away questions he doesn't want to know answers to.

  11. Does anyone else get the Leviathan impression from the enterance and the attraction itself? Allusive BB1.
  12. I need no translation when I know what I see. This sounds eerily similar to me smacking the water with a wet noodle, are you sure I wasn't smacking the water with a wet noodle?
  13. I'm taking it we will still have Coasting For Kids, correct?
  14. The progression of a topic on KIC: On topic........a bit off topic.....SOB.....way off topic.....this is a whole new topic.
  15. KI is definite KK is a definite Carowinds is a maybe Dollywood is a maybe Still in the works!
  16. But it is the west, right? Rivertown at Kings Island isn't themed around the Old West. (Although Frontiertown at Cedar Point is.) Technically it is. Based off of 1800's acts and ordinances the Ohio/Indiana/Kentucky/Minnesota regions were the Northwest. Now the Utah/California/Arizona/New Mexico/Texas comes after the Northwest Ordinance, therefor it can be inferred that the Ohio/Midwest was the "Old West" and technically speaking the more western regions were "New West".
  17. I would put in an 80's pun here about Spinning, but I don't think it is the best time yet. Anyways, if we do, we do, let's just watch the webcams and find fascination in the fact that something is happening at Kings Island for guests like you.
  18. A shootout probably would not go over well in this day and age. This ain't the '70s. But it is the west, right? Plus, if needed, one could have a sign for such activities. When I say "on the train" I mean to the fact of on the route, now one could have it literally on the train, if needed. (See Northwest Ordinance of yesteryears)
  19. I would like to see a "shoot out" on the train, that would be great and NASTALGIC. BB1, catching the drift.
  20. Now that is kinda creepy, don't cha think? BB1, riding his battle donkey away from the topic.
  21. Who said I had it?! BB1, not being "witch trialed".
  22. I know of a place, where it technically was themed to the middle ages, Oktoberfest......
  23. While in the midsts of checking light bulbs and incorporating the schedule into it, I got carried away and forgot about the poll series. So here's the poll backstory: A few months ago I thought of a Opening Day cavengerhunt, for our KIC represent. Which led through more ideas and snooping at old contests. So, what contest would you like for 2014 season on KIC?
  24. KIC's donkeys are FAR more superior, for my battle donkeys are supreme! BB1, going to the donkey convergence soon.
