  1. I can only imagine how many injuries people suffered and didn't report from that S.O.B. I know someone who visits a chiropractor frequently since there last ride but pride kept them from speaking up. I think the average person just feels hopeless in many cases. What's your lawyer going to do against theirs! Unless your taken off the premises in an ambulance, its not even worth the fight 99% of the time. Ride at your own risk my friends!
  2. I usually never get dizzy or anything else, but today while riding Monster with my 4 year old I was a mess! I have ridden Monster several times over the years and maybe it was because I took allergy medicine? We were also on one that spun the entire ride up until the girl stopped us to get off! I don't remember ever spinning that much before, is there a few seats that spin more than the others?
  3. Haven't rode Mean Streak since 1996 when I was in the best shape of my life, I just didn't care for the ride experience and said never again. I have never again rode it. I do love Blue Streak, classic! I would probably ride Mean Streak again before it gets torn down one day, just to remember why I didn't care for it so many years ago, maybe?
  4. Chirp, Chirp.... This thread would be dead without opinions. Facts are we have footers. I just got home from KI and didn't even bother looking, I figure I can just check this thread for new updates.
  5. I can golf in Myrtle for about what I spend here, they have to many courses so you can get great package deals. The amusement park has nobody to compete against (sadly) so they can charge what they want. I see your point, don't get me wrong. I have been to family kingdom several times and I'm sure we will go back one day.
  6. How are they ripping people off? I don't get it. 12 dollars for 2 people to ride the coaster one time! Its a rip-off, I don't care what anybody says. If you haven't ridden it and you want to spend the money, go for it. I just know if the prices were reasonable (like they once were) my friends and our families would probably take the kids there. To expensive for our taste, the kids can play in the ocean and have Kings Island to come home too. No hard feelings, we just think they over charge and several locals there I know feel the same way.
  7. I support small parks that don't over-charge, their just flat out ripping people off. To each their own I guess.
  8. I go to Myrtle for 2 weeks every year, and if my memory serves me correct you will spend about 12 dollars for the two of you to ride Swamp Fox one time! You can get the wristbands for the two of you for about 60 dollars after tax. With the money you spend there, I would stop at Carowinds on your way back if you drove and spend it there instead. I don't know your plans, so just a thought, have a blast!
  9. Way over-priced park if you ask me, you can spend a lot of money in that park really fast. I would look for deals and plan your money and what your going to do ahead of time there, I tell my kids before we go to parks like this what were doing before we get there and that is all so I don't go broke! I always let them do one or two extra things I don't tell them ahead of time so they feel they got a sweet deal.
  10. Boulder Canyon Malt Vinegar & Sea Salt all natural potato chips cuddled up on the couch next to me! Now this topic is getting interesting for once.
  11. After the first child, I knew my wife was pregnant with the next two before she did, seriously! The last time I brought home a test and said, "Here, go take this, trust me"! Sure enough. I don't know how a man doesn't know his wife isn't pregnant after a while, let alone a woman. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, I'm just saying....
  12. I would like to know why you think the lift will head out in the other direction?
  13. It's Firehawk, perhaps you were thinking of .... I better not.
  14. Now I'm really thinking were getting an invert with a Pink Floyd theme, sweet! (Add Sarcasm for the impaired)
  15. "O.M.G! I am SO NOT PREGO! Its just that like I've been drinking lots of beer lately and have had some serious hangovers, O.K! Don't judge me, like seriously! I can suck in my gut to ride the rides, UGH!"
  16. I was stopped on the MCBR on Diamondback before because somebody apparently lost a flip-flop on another train that hit a sensor. Almost got to walk the spiral staircase but problem was solved after a 20-30 minute wait. I really was hoping for a evac, dang it!
  17. I only ride in the very front seat or the second from last seat. The Beast must be eating much healthier the last two seasons!
  18. Diamond Back I probably wouldn't even attempt with all that I've heard about the size haha. Gordon just told you it has a test seat, its before you walk in the queue. Test it out and go from there.
  19. Just so you know, you are the first to complain about the DB line not meeting your experience in coaster lines that I can recall. DB lines move fast my friend! I have been all over and its by far one of the fastest lines I have ever experienced. I didn't get in line last night, but I wish I would have now. I doubt it was a two hour wait just from what I was watching while eating my funnel cake with ice cream (cross thread!). Sounds like you just had a rough night, sometimes you just eat the good food and relax. Jr... who knows when to ride, and when to just eat and watch! You just need to pick your ride dates better, I didn't even bother.
  20. I was listening till you said policing the line jumping! I don't keep track of my DB ride counts but I know I have to be up there in the top 5%. I have only seen a few people since the ride opened walk up to catch up with friends or family after a few people in the entrance ( which happens a lot and is expected). Just let it be a learning experience when to ride and when not to, like the rest of us enthusiasts. Check the queue and except your fate!
  21. Thanks for staying, I get to keep my hundred dollars!
  22. I'm suddenly plotting a KI trip tonight for a funnel cake with vanilla-chocolate swirl on top ( not in a blue mood!). It is Fathers Day after all, Hmm? Sometimes something as little as a funnel cake can change everything!
  23. Hopefully we don't read any stories of somebody spending their life savings to win front of the line passes!
  24. Buy one get one for 2 dollars for popcorn? I agree, the night I seen them out I would have played if I had cash just to try to get on The Beast for a last minute night ride!
  25. If this isn't a new roller coaster there is no way I'm renewing my season pass. That's a 2am post! Never mind, I forgot its Saturday. Carry on.....
