I don't know the last time you've been to the park, APE, but that smoking section has been moved off of the path next to the restrooms. That move has helped so much.

I'm off school for conferences tomorrow, so I get to sleep in! We also had a half day today, which was awesome as usual.

Where else could they have put the smoking area? There's not a ton of room anywhere else in that part of Coney Mall, whereas there are already two smoking areas near the center of Action Zone already. I think AZ is good with the number of smoking areas it currently has.

I seriously doubt that Kings Island would put a smoking area in the middle of the midway, especially when there are already several in the area as is.

^I assure you, there have been FAR worse thread hijacks than this one. As for KIC, most everything here is said in jest. If there's ever a question about a post's mood, you can always ask or just dismiss it as sarcasm. Sarcasm is very hard to pick up on a forum board anyways, so I can understand how messages can be misconstrued.

As I understand it, maintenance of special fx is up to the park's discretion. I don't think Ouimet would make a huge difference if maintenance doesn't care.

The Haunted Mansion is by far my favorite ride at WDW and I really wish I could have gone through Phantom Theater. Shaggy, do you have any more pictures or stories of/about Phantom Theater?

I don't have a specific order, but I make it a point to ride Adventure Express at least a billion times every visit.

Yes, it is a coincidence. There's no way that putting a Flying Scooters in the center of Action Zone is feasible. The amount of congestion it would cause is huge, plus there would be no room for a queue line.

I guess should rephrase: a general rule for the a/an situation would be the one I mentioned above. There are always exceptions.

This bothers me so much when people don't understand how to use a versus an. A is used before consonant sounds and an is used before vowel sounds.Examples! Wrong: An chicken climbed out of a egg. Correct: A chicken climbed out of an egg.

The concept art sometimes deviates from the final product. The window, which is for the operator, was relocated to the side of the station.

The Beast was constructed from ~1978-1979 so the Eiffel Tower would have already been a few years old. I think the low resolution of the picture makes it hard to see the full Eiffel Tower.

I actually prefer Adventure Express to be hidden. I think it adds to the ride experience.

Because if the management wants to fix the theming around the park, they need to start with consistency. Why hasn't Adventure Express' theming ever operated consistently? The same could be asked of Flight of Fear and even Starlight Spectacular and the Royal Fountains to an extent. How long has theming sat broken? I think the powers that be are interested in minimal theming which is why I think Backlot Stunt Coaster is what it is today. Management needs to show consistency all across the board before jumping in to a huge project that they're not ready for.

I'll bet that a lot of people didn't even use the fountain. It was so far off the beaten path that only people going to Snowy River Rampage would make use of it. I loved it though, and I was sad to see that it got removed.

^If I were to guess, it would be the cables locking into position. Up until the "ka-chunk" you're still moving up the tower and it isn't until the click that you actually stop moving.
