There's no rule that says you have to only use the lockers for that ride. If you're in the area and don't need your things for awhile, go ahead and ride some other rides so you don't have to carry your stuff around. They're safer in the locker anyways. The lockers can be opened multiple times, so you can retrieve something if you need it.The locker is yours for the two hours you rented for it. Don't waste your money.

So you don't want to pay $2 to store $500+ worth of loose articles? Your iPod, phone, and wallet are probably safer in your pocket (or a locker) than in the bins in ride stations.

Spring Break 2013 PTR of Disneyworld and Universal
TheCrypt replied to Ride On_17's topic in Trip Reports
Our band's Disney trip is next season. I can't wait until the season starts up again! Sounds like you had a great time. Glad you enjoyed Magic Kingdom. It's my favorite park at Disney World. I'm sorry you had to wear shakos during the parade. Shakos are awful! -
..except the third train actually led to more stacking!

I think some people are blowing this out of proportion. Of all the rides at Kings Island, only Firehawk actually requires us to pay for a locker for loose articles. Every other ride has bins or some other means of holding our belongings. I think we have to give a little to get a little; in this case, we pay for a locker to get a record breaking, NEW coaster.
-
Apart from the pretzel loop, there is nothing about the Supermen that I like. At least Firehawk is a little more comfortable and actually has some variety in the layout. I have fun when I ride Firehawk, but I just find myself waiting for the ride to end on Superman.

I would rather Kings Island replace chains with local food selections. Edt: which is basically what Gator said.

I agree with the skeletons being scary enough. They still creep me out ha ha. I apologize for not knowing for certain which area it was considered to be situated in (Rivertown or Planet Snoopy). That's one of those strange rides I was unsure of, like the log flume, which I know is considered to be in Rivertown, which makes no sense to me, but eh oh well Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk Actually, the log flume is considered a part of Planet Snoopy.
-
The skeleton scene near the end of the ride is plenty scary for the younger guests. Also, Boo Blasters is NOT, nor has it ever been, a part of Planet Snoopy.

Dwight: I believe Kings Powder Company had an explosion before the park was built, but the factory is located on the opposite side of the river from the park. The explosion did not occur on park property, but the accident did happen close to the park's land.

I twisted your words how? I literally copied your words verbatim, exactly how they sat on the page. Furthermore, the ellipses signify that you said more but what you said was not relevant to my point. I merely took your words and used them against you. You said in the quoted text that people on this site can be hypocrites, which is what you were essentially being. How does talking about "not missing clothes when you're not wearing them" form a family-friendly atmosphere? But it doesn't really matter. What is it Terp always says? "All in jest.."

No, I think upstop believes Banshee is no longer in its solid state. I'll bet he thinks it's a liquid.

A new practice pad would be nice, but I don't really "want" anything fancy for Christmas.

If only... Glad they're getting theirs back.

Capital for repainting a sign could (and will) be spent better elsewhere. There's a Wurlitzer, glock, and a racing wooden coaster in need of more than a cosmetic repair.

It's been awhile since you've Terp'd me! I edited the post.

You have to remember that most of the shows featured in NU are no longer on the air (though there are a few exceptions: Dora, Spongebob, etc.) This begs the question of what is really important: a current theme or a sense of nostalgia?

Interview with Don: 2014 Improvements and Additions
TheCrypt replied to TombRaiderFTW's topic in Kings Island
Why bother? Half the lights don't even work anymore. -
43 & married with a good paying job that's putting my daughter through college. I was just messing around....guess from now on I'll only post relative information to KI. Sorry if I offended anybody. Peace out Crypt, I will say I value alot of what you post, you do contribute alot to these threads and I value your knowledge on one of my most intriguing flat rides ever...however you really do need to lighten up and relax. If this offended you I'm sorry but still. No way to retaliate with low and stupid jabs like this. Just relax, it was meant to be funny ( I chucked a bit), but if you didn't find it humerus (see what I did there lol), it's ok, you're not the target market of it. Just...everybody love everybody ok Lets not be like Pointbuzz...lots of bickering over there for whatever reason...maybe they need snickers over there Sorry for being indignant. I guess the offseason and stress have gotten to me! I still don't find the joke funny, but I do retract my statement about MantisMan. Sorry for getting riled up, everyone!

I guess I speak for myself.

Obviously a kid at heart.....that's why I'm posting on an amusement park forum. Probably a middle school kid.Seriously, those jokes aren't even remotely funny anymore.

Sparsely scattering a few gravestones under the ride and building a station that looks like a church doesn't make a ride well themed. Adding fog, tunnels, theatrical lights, and props make an immersive ride.

A tidbit about shows: if you are interested in seeing them up close and/or with little wait, you might want to invest in the QBot. QBot is Dollywood's version of Fast Lane except it is integrated far better in my opinion. It allows not only for faster coaster lines but also for great reserved seating for shows.
