KI-ORIG-EMP, you say that no rides could operate because it would interrupt rehab. How is it that the train operated during the former Winterfests? I doubt it takes 6 whole months to complete rehab. Maybe 3-4 depending on the complexity of the train / track work. The Kings Island & Miami Valley Railroad could operate. Not a bat's chance in hell that it'll return for 2012. I could also see them doing what Paramount did with the Christmas trees on Swan Lake, only with the Oktoberfest pond (why doesn't that have a name?).

I always love saying that before I get on, with the spiel. I know it too! *shares the high five* I have a new respect for you all.

You know it too?! *metaphorical high five*

Sorry. Got my facts mixed up. How does the GM / CEO/ Chairman know more than current management? I'm still a young grasshopper who still needs to learn much more!

How does Siebert know more about the park than does current management?

Well, if Six Flags were to own th park, Firehawk would be Superman, Invertigo would be Batman, and The Beast would be Catwoman! The Ride! And Catwoman! The Ride! would have Stride advertisements on the trains. TheCrypt, who is watching Batman: The Animated Series, where coincidentally, Catwoman is sentenced to 5 years probation!

Flight of Fear, The Beast, Diamondback, Vortex, Flight Deck, and.... Adventure Express! Those I would wait 2, maybe even 3 hours. I would never wait more than 1 hour for Firehawk in the summer. Never.

This thread is the same age as Delirium.

My God, PEOPLE! I think we should establish a new rule: If it's 5 years or older, make a new topic!

Theming lost...Thanks to Paramount. Since when does a Hindu temple fit in with an early Ohio settlement? A Hollywood backlot in a classic amusement park? And my personal favorite, a racing, spy, and Spongebob movies in a classic amusement park. Yep. Paramount was great!

I haven't seen the magic show, but this is directed towards everyone who says it's inappropro: Have you filed your complaints with Guest Services? Battling it out online where one would hope that it is seen by Don gets your complaint nowhere. If you have such a problem with the show, talk to Ed, talk to GS, talk with Don, talk to someone of authority! If you don't, everyone will assume that you love the show and nothing will be changed. To the people with kids, do you believe in the old rule that states "If a woman is wearing anything above the knee-line, it is considered inappropriate."? To me, it appears as such. How much leg is exposed? If it's a hair shorter than you-know-where, then that should be changed. If it's mid thigh, it's fine.

I like the current configuration of the trains. If you were to go with smaller trains, you'd have to redesign the station, re-calibrate the brakes, change the sensors, and you'd lose a wheel seat (a la Son of Beast). If you were to remove trims, you'd have to reprofile the track every year due to the wear and tear on the track. Furthermore, I think it would kill the pacing to not have the brakes in the brake shed. If the trims were removed there, what do you have? A boring piece of raised up straight track. You could replace it with airtime hills, but I'd prefer to stay as close to the original 1979 Beast as we can. Thank you!

I think it's more for the awaiting riders next in line so they could hear it. Oh, and it's about 12 seconds from helicopter launch to splashdown on Backlot!

You know what *I* think, Flying Eagles sound like a great addition to Coney Mall. But that may just be me.

But FUN could have easily put a trademark on the name Delirium. Browntiggrr, many of those trademarks are dead, and really, only 2 are Kings Island-specific trademarks: The Beast (trademarked under Paramount, by the way) and Kings Island. That's it. Also, apparently FUN still owns the rights to Nights of Fire. Why isn't the 4 of July week(end) called Nights of Fire? It's still a live patent.

Works for me now. Thanks, Titan.

Actually, some higher-up in Sandusky was the end of Son of Beast. I wish that ride was never associated with The Beast. Gave his daddy a bad name. EDIT: A 10-year revival, too! Folks, we got ourselves a new record!

The Flying Eagles deserve much more than to be put into "Kiddy Land".

If this is indeed a multi-year Haunt, then we won't be seeing the building go anytime soon.

These are memories that you will cherish forever. When you look back, you'll always remember them fondly. Thank you for sharing your day with us, and I'm glad you had a great day at the park (and multiple fang-tastic rides on Diamondback )!
