Eh, I don't think any type of VR will be able to replicate the real thing. I would much rather go to a physical theme/amusement park than put on a pair of goggles and pretend I'm walking around one. I think technology will have to improve way beyond where we are now in order to make this idea a reality. I do, however, think that including VR on some rides could be pretty cool. Imagine riding a ride like Flight of Fear wearing VR goggles and everywhere you look you see new surroundings. It would actually heighten the ride experience and add an additional element of thrill. Or what about a dark ride that included something like Microsoft's Hololens? Each ride car would have a few pairs connected and riders could put them on and see a type of VR overlay on top of the physical sets/props. Now that is something I could see in the near future.

^Last October when my wife and I visited Hollywood Studios, we did the Animation Academy twice. The first time we were learning how to draw Eeyore. Well, I must have gotten my circles placed wrong because my Eeyore ended up looking more like Bullseye from Toy Story lol. The second time around we drew Mickey Mouse and I was careful to place everything correctly. It's amazing how good you can draw when actually shown the correct method. This was an attraction I was always excited to do. I'm with you though, I kind of hope they relocate it!

The last time I took the animation tour was back in the spring of 2004. They were just finishing up "Home on the Range" and made the announcement that it was going to be the last hand-drawn animated feature. Also while there, the tour guide was busy giving incorrect facts to the guests on the tour. People would ask him questions and he would respond with the wrong answers. He would say things like, "The first use of the multi-plane camera was on the movie Cinderella" and stuff like that. One guest asked him if there had been any recent Mickey Mouse shorts and he said "no." He completely forgot about "Runaway Brain" back in 1995. Since I've been studying Disney Animation since kindergarten, it was rather frustrating. Oh well, what do you do? My wife and I went back down there last October and visited Hollywood Studios. You're right Gabe, it was a ghost of what it once was. There was no longer a tour or a video showing. They did have a few desks on display, but no actual animators there. They did have the drawing tutorial where they taught you how to draw a character, but that was pretty much is except for some interactive displays and some character meet and greets. The whole thing is a shame really.

And...yeah, you would never see me get on something like that. Heck, even a Ferris wheel will give me motion sickness if it goes fast enough. I love coasters, but can't spin!

I actually quit riding Firehawk because I felt like I wasn't secure enough. I felt like I was sliding out. It wasn't a great sensation at all.

Judging from the photo on the menu for the combo, it appeared to only come with one slice of pizza. There is a chance that I could be mistaken. Two slices of pizza for that price would make a little more sense.

My wife and I were at Kings Island Monday and noticed something crazy at the LaRosa's down by The Beast. It started when my wife mentioned she was sorta hungry and might want to grab a little something. We had just gotten off Stunt Track and were on our way to The Beast. We decided to pop in the LaRosa's and find out how much just one slice of pizza was. Upon entering, I looked up at the menu and noticed that a combo with one slice of pizza, two breadsticks, and a drink was $14.29. I thought that was a ridiculous price for that amount of food. So we asked how much just a slice would be. We were told $3.99 a slice. Now it gets interesting. I decided to add up all the items from the combo individually based on the listed prices from the menu and the info we were told about the cost of a slice. 1 slice of pizza = $3.99, an order of breadsticks = $3.99, a large drink = $4.59, Total Price = $12.57. Now for the same items of food bundled in a combo, it costs $14.29! Why in the world would I pay $1.72 more for the same amount of food? What is Kings Island trying to pull here? Why is the combo almost $2 more than if I bought the food items separately? I just can't figure this one out. Anyone have any ideas?

There are native people who live in jungles who claim that there are some types of dinosaurs possibly still living. For example, deep in the Congo Jungle, there are tribes of people who claim that a Sauropod dinosaur is still living. They call it "Mokele-mbembe." Many people who live in this area have claimed to see this animal. Here is a short video about it: Stuff like this fascinates me. There are so many places on this Earth that haven't been explored, it's fun to think of what all could be existing deep in some of these remote jungles.

I believe that some of the myths and folklore we have are based on some thread of truth. Take for example the legend of dragons. Why do so many cultures have stories about a giant lizard-like animal? I've always believed that the dragon was actually a dinosaur. Now, many people would exclaim, "No, that can't be! Dinosaurs and man are separated by 65 million years of evolution." Do we know that for sure? Let's look at some ancient carvings: and this one: Keep in mind that these carvings were found in places like Cambodia and Peru and would have been created hundreds, maybe even thousands of years before the first known set of dinosaur bones were dug up and discovered. How about this cave drawing: If nothing else, these are very interesting to think about. One last thing that I've always found interesting, that's the Chinese Calendar. Let's take a look at it: Look at all the animals around this calendar. Which ones are listed? Dog, Boar, Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Snake, Horse, Sheep, Monkey, and Rooster. All these are real animals that are existing and have existed with man. But oh wait, there is one more animal on this calendar: The Dragon. Now why would the dragon be on this calendar with a list of 11 other real-life animals? Why weren't there any other "mythical" animals on this calendar besides the dragon? It's almost as if the dragon was considered a real animal. Perhaps it was an animal that these people had seen before and they had no problem including it on this calendar along side the other animals. Stuff like this fascinates me. I wonder about these so called "mythical" creatures that we talk about. Were dragons just dinosaurs? Is Nessy a Plesiosaur? Did/does Sasquatch exist? These are all questions I have and I enjoy studying these things. I'm not here to try to convince people of anything. I'm just showing some things that I've found over the years that I thought were pretty interesting!

I believe this thing exists, or at least did exist at one time. If you look at how many places around the world have a legend about the same type of creature, it just sort of makes sense. Whatever this thing is, or was, it wasn't just a regional creature, it lived in all parts of the world. I also think it's sort of arrogant of us to think we know what does or does not exist. There are so many places on this Earth that haven't been discovered yet, so many remote jungles and such. Who's to know what's living and what's not? I like to believe that this thing is still out there and that we will find it one day. That is pretty exciting to me!

The first time I ever saw/heard of this place was when I watched the Adam the Woo video a couple of months ago. The place looked deserted. It was amazing to me that the place was "supposedly" still in business. Not sure who'd want to buy this place, especially without the rights to the characters.

Back in 1998, my friend and I would ride out to KI quite often. Not sure if this song was ever played in the park, but pretty much every single time on our way there, we'd here the song "The Way" by Fastball on the radio. It pretty much became our KI theme song that summer. We couldn't hear that song without thinking about going to KI. Now that song brings back memories of that summer and all of our fun trips to KI that season.

^^I cannot ride anything that spins. Rides that spin make me extremely dizzy and sick to my stomach. That being said, I rode WindSeeker without having any problems with motions sickness. However, the ride is extremely high up and that was the only problem I had with the ride. It was a little unnerving to look down and see how high up you are and in nothing but a little seat. I can say that you probably won't get motion sickness from this ride (at least I didn't) and it doesn't really spin all that fast. As long as you're ok with heights, you should be good to go.

I've been visiting Kings Island almost my entire life. I can't think of one particular thing that sticks out in my mind, but when I think back, I have some blurs and random split second flashes of memories. One of the first ones would be riding the Enchanted Voyage. No not the Smurf version, the original version. I have a brief, split second memory of Gulliver inside that ride and that's about it. Seeing as I was born in September of 1980 and the ride was removed at the end of the 1981 season, I couldn't have been very old at all. Next, I pretty much just have random flashes of memories from Hanna-Barbera land. I remember things like the juice drinks with the green caps in the shapes of characters like Fred Flintstone and Yogi Bear. I remember riding Scooby-Doo on the carousel, I remember the puppet tree, and the "Scrappy's Farm" playground. I don't remember specific visits or events, all these memories just sort of run together. I also remember the glow necklaces they used to sell at night by the entrance. You know, the ones that you had to keep in the refrigerator? Yep. I always liked those. Glowing things always fascinated me as a kid and I was always mesmerized by all the glow necklaces that the vendors were selling. There were always so many! I'm grateful I got to grow up near a park like Kings Island and visit every year. It has left me with many, many fond memories!

I'll be down at Coney Island this weekend for the Autism Walk. It's been a few years since I've been down there, so I'm excited to check out the park again!

This is the worst video I've ever seen. Plus, all of his reasons are ridiculous. I'm going to make a response video called, "10 Reasons Why This Video Sucks."

^Not to mention that these Nintendo characters and IPs have stood the test of time and continue to remain relevant 20-30 years later. Can we say the same thing about Avatar? Not yet.

I've said it time and time again, Nintendo Land would be an awesome land for a theme park. Way back on one of these threads, I had even mentioned an idea I had to convert Boo Blasters into a Mario Castle dark ride. Even though I knew KI didn't have near the funds to license a brand like Nintendo, I still thought it would be a great idea to implement these themes and characters into some kind of theme park. Looks like Universal had the same idea. This should make an awesome new addition!
