No Dinosaurs..... No 301 ft. towers.....

Absolutely wonderful documentary. Nice to have everything compiled into this one video that really encompasses Arrow as a whole. I'm very glad and somewhat surprised that they included the longer bit towards the end about Schilke and RMC. That's definitely something I've continuously always viewed RMC as, which is a successor to Arrow. The longed-for track design that they were looking for in their later years, Schilke eventually was able to come up with for RMC. Too bad it couldn't have came sooner!

KI Throwback Photo of The Day

That picture is sad. Makes me wish that so many things would return to the park, mainly smaller, though very essential details. Eiffel Tower color. Trams. Ability to view the fountains in their entirety.......The list could go on and on..... -
Happened to notice land currently being cleared near the old SOB bolt barn area, far back behind Banshee...... Thoughts?.... (Live Still-Images captured from Kings Island's Banshee Cam)

As I've said once, and will say in just a few moments..... That location would be absolutely GREAT for a Gerstlauer Sky Roller, with the appearance on the midway and type of ride style (One that the park is currently missing) . ......And on a related note...... In my opinion, at this point, the Flight Commander theme could even be re-used possibly.

Wow! I suppose we all must have our own perspectives on things! The more RMC coasters that are built, and that I've seen in person, the more the look of them is tending to grow on me. I find RMC's coasters to be quite beautiful pieces of art, and one of a kind at that. TheBEASTunchained.....floating out to sea in his boat alone...... -

Small.....or I suppose with the world's largest immelmann you could say a rather "large" update on Valravn construction from Cedar Point's Facebook page: Cedar Point on Faceboook: "What a great #sunrise, wouldn't you say? #Valravn" Photo : Cedar Point via Facebook -
Kentucky Kingdom

I definitely have to give a big shoutout of thanks to the new media communications / marketing / whatever role they're calling it, person at Kentucky Kingdom. Whoever is behind this now, there's an obvious difference. More interactions with guests over social media, more updates on the park on social media, presentations at ACE's No Coaster Con, and much more. I can only assume that Mulchahy was behind the previous dealings of this sort as it seems that not long after he left, the park's online presence to the public and attention paid to enthusiasts, among other target groups, has grown tremendously. BIG applause to the park for this. Maybe we're seeing the beginning of good things to come for Kentucky Kingdom! -
Which coaster do you want to come next.
TheBEASTunchained replied to Beasttamer's topic in Coming Attractions
Well, I was holding off from replying to this due to the repetitiveness of my answer to this question But as I've said it once, I'll say it again. Kings Island is missing what most other parks of it's size have in their lineup, which is a "modern" wooden roller coaster. That being said, our 3 wooden coasters that we currently have are absolutely superb, and I'm not saying anything otherwise. Quite simply, we have coasters of different styles from similar eras, and we are missing something from a new generation of wooden roller coasters. As per usual, my example of Six Flags St. Louis still holds true, and in my opinion, they have one of the most solid wooden coaster line-ups of any park, a title that we used to have, and to a degree, still do. So what roller coaster do I want to come to Kings Island next? Simple. A twisty GCI wooden roller coaster. In my opinion, after the addition of Banshee, that is one of the very few gaps that the park still has in the coaster line-up. Although if I were to make a guess as to what major coaster the park will actually get next, I'd be willing to make a pretty strong guess towards B&M Giga coaster, especially given the great relationship that Cedar Fair has with them currently. Ever heard the saying "Get it while it's hot!" ? -

THAT is great news. One thing I've been not only suggesting, but hoping for quite some time, is a diverse ERT lineup. Having the same rides the whole season for Early Entry just gets somewhat repetitive, though I will say that getting a couple warmup laps on Banshee was a great way to start most visits last season. With this new lineup, it gives you something new to look forward to each month. Thanks KI ! -

Sorry for the double post! Was browsing over the park on Google Earth and noticed that the pond near White Water Canyon was drained back in October?.... Correct me if I'm wrong, but the pond pictured is not connected to White Water Canyon, and if it's the one I'm thinking of, it's never been "drained" either....? Here it is pictured on Google Earth, captured in October: (Photo captured from Google Earth and courtesy goes out to Google Earth for image-capture) You guys' thoughts on this? Am I thinking of the wrong pond? Connected to the demolition of the elephant ear building? Something to think about..... -

Although I still think that the old Flight Commander pad would be a more fitting spot, that Rivertown location could work well for a Gerstlauer Sky Roller, similar to what Canada's Wonderland is recieving this season. I wouldn't doubt that the park could recieve a flat in 2017 anyway, not necessarily in that location though, considering what some of the other CF parks are getting for '16. ......And then again, of course, this could be nothing but a little "clean-up" and restoration for the area / maybe another new building...... -
2015 KIC Off Season Poll Series Week IX: 2016 Priority Parks
TheBEASTunchained replied to BB1's topic in KI Polls
The parks that I will definitely be visiting are Kings Island and Kentucky Kingdom. Other than that.... I'm wanting to get out to Indiana Beach under it's new management and see if they will be starting to live up to the changes that they've recently been claiming to be making..... I could end up riding the new RMC in the hills of Tennessee next season as well. In my SIX lineup for 2016, I'm not exactly sure yet, but Great America and Mid-America will probably be on the list. Honestly, beyond what I've mentioned, I'm not really sure yet. Usually I do most of my planning once the new year has begun. -

Just a thought I was having.... It would be very interesting and fun to have a KICentral meetup at KK next season..... Who would be interested? -
Cedar Fair's acquisition of the park.....10 years ago?......That's crazy! Most boggling piece on that list is that WindSeeker will be five! Seems like just the other day it was Opening Day 2011 and I was walking through Coney Mall towards a strange new tower of giant proportions, only to find that it was nowhere near ready for riders or testing for that matter.
