  1. There was a price difference when we bought ZombieJR's first gold pass. It was only about $5 though. If we had bought his when we bought ours the previous year, it would have been the same price.
  2. Working in retail, we broke policy all the time.....All in the name of good customer service.
  3. The one that did, wasn't that issue resolved at Cedar Point?
  4. Tripping over dollars to pick up pennies.
  5. They are the same price when you buy them in the fall. After that, there is a price difference (unless things have changed).
  6. When you try to make things "fair", things get over complicated. Keep it simple and go with height at time of pass processing. Or keep it even more simple...one price for all. We bought zombieJR's 2013 pass in the fall of 2012. At the beginning of the seaon, he was a good 1/2 inch from 48". A month after season started he hit 48". We had NO issues regarding needing to upgrade. From a consumer perspective, it's not about the money, but the hassle and inconvenience. Does KI really think that hassle and inconvenience, for the guest, is worth the small amount of money it would bring? Edit to add that once he hit 48" his 2013 pass stayed as a Jr. pass. When we renewed for 2014, it was done as an adult pass.
  7. I have now named the empty ride space Shake, Rattle, and Weep.
  8. I wonder if it is possible to bribe some info out of someone in the know. I don't have a lot of money, but I'm a decent baker.... cookies? Cake? French macarons? Brownies? Something? :-)
  9. Oooooooh FFS! it's been a rough week, and it‘s only Tuesday, this isn't helping.
  10. I say incorrect ride names all the time. Several rides have had multiple name changes througout my life. I still refer to the ride as the name I originally knew it as.
  11. Spitting. I hate spitting. Why do people feel the need to spit EVERYWHERE? Also I saw a kid, about 3 years old, peeing on the trashcan next to the change machine at White Water Canyon's exit. Whypeoplegottabesogross?
  12. Not to be a Negative Nancy or anything... but I thought that the carousel sounded pitiful (as of lst Sunday anyay). I am by no means a carousel aficionado, but I've been to a lot of parks with beautifully maintained carousels that put ours to shame. Hopefully, KI has plans of a full restoration.
  13. Wow! They dismantles that fast! I really do hope that this is temporary. Seeing it gone makes me almost want to cry. Shake, Rattle, and Roll is a very sentimental ride for me.
  14. *teetering between purple and the colour below during the 2013 season.
  15. We bought lil'zombie's 2013 pass in the fall of 2012. He was 46" when we bought it. He was teetering between purple and the colour below it for a month (depending on who was manning the measurement stations, it was crapshoot of which band he'did get). Halfway through the season he was consistently 48" and we didn't have to upgrade his pass until we got his 2014.
  16. I got the regular block fudge on Sunday. I'm a little disappointed. It's 2 blocks are fairly dry and the 3rd is almost like paste. Amaretto is dry, regular chocolate is dry, mocha is paste.
  17. KI fudge prices are pretty comparable to fugde outside the park....and KI fudge is way better! Any other place that I have bought fudge, it has been dry and gross. KI fudge is all sorts of awesome! Chocolate amaretto.... nom nom nom
  18. I bump into people a lot. I can't stand still and tend to sway. But, one probably won't get bumped unless standing too close. I haven't run into too many line etiquette issues. On-ride etiquette is another thing. Spitting on a ride, using a phone on a ride, and treating Zephyr swings like playground swings is not cool.
  19. It's not wrong to question, but some seem to be downright demanding answers. KI has their reasons for doing what they do. Would I love to know why DT is not operating? Of course! Do I care that KI isn't more forth coming with that information? Nope.
  20. Being a part of this site and/buying a park ticket/season pass doesn't entitle us to any information. Rides go down from time to time. It happens.
  21. Interesting. So do you take this approach with with every product you buy into? "Sir, the burger you want is not available even though Its on the menu. No I will not tell you why. Have a nice day though" Actually, I have had something similar happen to me at a resturant and I did not feel I was owed an explaination. "'X item' is not available, would you like something else?" Knowing why, or throwing a fit about it, wouldn't make it anymore available to me. Same goes for Drop Tower. Knowing why it isn't operating isn't going to make it start operating any sooner.
  22. While KD has some awesome rides and is more aesthetically pleasing, I'm going to have to vote KI.
  23. [qname=thedevariouseffect" post="610241" timestamp="1398048235] You can get CamelBaks that go on your back. I can get several different types, sizes, and bladders through military clothing, if interested I can get you a few prices if you wish to continue using them. Same variants are available online as well, but not sure about a pricing difference. The one I usually see is a 3L bladder I do not see the back variant being an issue as the bag is secured quite well, can be placed under clothing if necessary, and you have a medical issue. If issues arise you can always talk with guest services/park ops. They are the final word in regards to loose articles/etc. I almost bought one of the backpacks, but was afraid it would bulk me up too much for certain ride restraints. Plus, I can adust it easier. If having it on my lower back doesn't work for a particular ride, I can shift it to the side. It's also easier to take off to refill. It's a 50 oz pak, and during the course of the day I could be filling it 3 -5 times. I swear, I'm like a fish out of water. We didn't know about the no hip pouch thing until after we were at the ride. Luckily, the was short...but by the time I did get on it, I was more distracted by a need for water than fully getting to enjoy it. It's like "WHEEEEE! waterwaterwater. WOAH! waterwaterwater. HOLYCRAAAAP! waterwaterwater. It's over? Awesome! Now let me off!" Followed by "Get the hell outta my waaaaaay!" As I make a mad dash to the nearby water fountains. Lol
  24. Loved the ride! My only downside to it was not being able to bring my CamelPak with me. It's a lumbar pak, so it looks like a hip pouch. Mrs. Zombie needs her water (medical issue). Looks like I may need to invest in The Wine Rack now (for water, of course). :/
  25. ...I've run out of movies to watch and flying internet spaceships (Eve Online...w00t w00t!) is no longer enough to keep my occupied. I'm losing my freaaaaaking mind man!
