  1. If so, then it is a rideable attraction in a different location. Now I want to ride it. It's rideable at the Fairfield location, but not Eastgate. At Eastgate, it's decorative.
  2. That was our 2nd time eating at the buffet. The first time, last year, was pretty good. But this time it was disgusting. The meal we had at KD was nauseating...thankfully we ate towards the end of the day, because I was kind of done after that.. We'll be heading to Cedar Point one more time this year, so we'll have to hit those places up
  3. We may go...depends on what we've got going on..
  4. I thought they didn't shut down for rain alone. It rained last year on mothers day and the rides were still open.
  5. Fireworks. Probably has extra storage containers for the 4th of July fireworks. Edit: jdawg beat me to it! That makes sense. I've only been on WindSeeker one other time and didn't notice anything out there... but then again, that first time I just kept trying to figure out where I would land if the swing were to break off.. That ride gives me Final Destination vibes...
  6. It's been a little while since I've been on, and I'm not scrolling through 40 some-odd pages to see if it's been brought up... But today, while on WindSeeker, ZombieNinja and I saw a bunch of stuff out in a little clearance in the woods. It looked like a storage container with some other dark (black, maybe grey) rectangular things laying on the ground. I can't see all that well, even with my glasses on... so, I could only really make out some shapes. You can also kind of see the stuff when riding the blue side of The Racer.
  7. I rode WindSeeker today.... which, I guess isn't reliable enough for wikipedia... but it is operating.
  8. I've got my name on mine... I thought about switching the straw out too. I think all of the KI straws are clear.. but I also have a souvenir cup from KD, and those straws are red.
  9. I thought everything was ride at your own risk.... The posted signs state that it's not a good idea to ride while pregnant, with heart problem, back problems, and other medical conditions...but that it was up to the rider to follow those guidelines.
  10. personally, I won't leave anything of great value. If I can, I'll leave my souvenir cup.. and that's about it. I can't believe that people with actually leave purses and stuff at the station.
  11. If you rode the Front seat, you probably got thrown around a lot. Vortex has a few rough transitions. You can thank Ron Toomer for that but it's still smoother then most of the Arrow Loopers. Anaconda at Kings Dominion OUCH!!! is all I can say. Loch Ness Monster at Busch Gardens is pretty smooth though.
  12. Maybe a little off topic, but... A few weeks ago, while riding Delirium, the kid sitting next to us was screaming "f'in n*****s" during the entire ride cycle. As the ride ended, and we got off, I noticed a group of ****ed off people hanging around close to the exit. Since the ride had no line, the ops didn't make the kid get off (but also didn't call him out on his behavior either). I didn't stick around to see if anything happened when he finally did have to get off.
  13. That was last week. Sorry you missed it! I didn't miss it. Every day is a Busch Gardens day. It would be for me if I lived closer!
  14. You must, however, wear shoes to ride Diamondback. No bare feet allowed. Why does Diamondback require shoes anyway? Sorry in advance for double posting. If I had to guess, state law is the reason. In Ohio, amusement parks must follow manufacturer recommendations for rides precisely, down to the last detail. If I had to guess, this is the reason, as Intimidator (same exact make and model, different state) does not require shoes. It could also be due to potentially unpleasant terrain in the event that you would have to evacuate at the MCBR for any reason. EDIT: Looks like TheCrypt beat me to it That makes sense. I was just curious because Apollo's Chariot doesn't require shoes.... but that is a whole other park/state.

  16. My understanding is that bags, backpacks, etc. must go with you, but individual loose items like souvenir cups can be left on the shelves at the back of the station. There have been a few times that they would not take my souvenir cup. They told me to tuck it behind me. It worked and the cup stayed in place. I only had one mishap in which the lid on the cup must have not been on properly, and I ended up coming off of the ride soaked...
  17. FOF can be hit or miss with being able to leave items behind. Sometimes, they'll take them and put them at the exit station... sometimes, they have you take your stuff with you.
  18. If you are sending out full trains every time (whether it's a busy day or a normal day), what does it matter if there are 50 people in line or 1000? I'm not trying to give anyone crap or anything, but if there is a certain way to do things to keep the trains entering and exiting the station in a timely manner, it shouldn't matter what the queue looks like. The same idea goes for the whole loose articles thing. There is a max number of people that can be in the loading/unloading portion of the station getting/putting things in the bins. Busy day or not, that part of the process isn't going to shorten/lengthen queue times much.
  19. Had icecream w/apples and Busch Gardens...that was good.. ...I don't know about blue icecream though...
  20. it really depends on what day you're going.
  21. Does KIC ever do anything on a Sunday? I have a snowball's chance in hell of ever getting a Saturday off... :-(
  22. That was last week. Sorry you missed it!
  23. You don't get choice seating exactly. At most rides you are integrated into the line at, or close to, the station. Once in the station, you pick you seat lane, just like everyone else, and wait behind the people in front of you. And if you mean riding 'over and over' like not getting off of the ride, Fast Lane doesn't work that way. Once your turn is over, you get off the ride and get back in line (if you want to ride again). Fast Lane doesnt mean no wait, just less wait.
  24. I'm on the fence with this one. I think everyone should be allowed to enjoy the park, but at what point do you draw the line? How do you decide who can handle waiting vs. who cannot? If the whole point of walk on riding is to avoid meltdowns, what do you do when things happen that are out of your/KI's control?
  25. EXactly, maybe if they padded the restraint bar with something a little softer(okay, a lot softer), it might not be so bad. That ride kills my legs there at the end...
