I think the red area would make the most sense. I always thought that area of the park was really dead compared to other parts

Mystic Timbers has the same capacity on one train compared to the combined capacity of the trains on this new coaster (if they even run 3 trains). My analysis- I'm not hating on the park, or the chain for doing something knew and exciting but it doesn't seem like it'll work. I'm really surprised they didn't for the T-Rex track instead of the Raptor- T-Rex= twice the capacity of a Raptor coaster. I'm not too crazy about the name or the color scheme for that matter. Don't get me wrong, I'd ride it in a heartbeat if I had the chance, but I think this could have been done a little bit better. There are gonna be long lines

Will Diamondback always be the tallest at KI?

@McSalsa I completely agree with you. I haven't made it shy on here that I've always wanted a dive coaster to come to the park one day per personal preference. I'm really surprised that there aren't more dive machines out there in the industry, especially given the fact that they're compact, tall, and are really popular with the GP. I feel like if the park got a dive machine, enthusiasts and the GP would be pretty tied over for a couple years- however, the same could be said for any park. I know that's probably the last possible coaster we'll ever get but it doesn't hurt to hope! -
I read somewhere that it costs around $150 to run both locomotives a day for the Miami Valley Railroad. I could be inaccurate but I read it from a reputable source. @kimv1972 might know

My ideas for special nights at KI in 2018
SonofBaconator replied to patrickbateman's topic in Kings Island
These are creative ideas, and I stress the word creative, however I don't think they'd work for a park like Kings Island- let alone a Cedar Fair park. -

Do you think we'll ever get more coasters over 200+ft besides possibly a giga? -
Maybe they can run on propane

Resurrecting an old thread. I've been thinking about this recently- will Diamondback be stay the tallest coaster at KI? Sure we might get a giga but after that then what? I'd love to see KI have multiple coasters exceeding 200ft but other than a giga, I really don't see anything else topping Diamondback. Thoughts? -
I really want to see how KI will transition from Haunt, (I wish it could still be called FearFest), to Winterfest. No doubt they're will already be plenty of lights up for WF, maybe some lights might be re-purposed for both events.

I apologize PTC fans but I prefer Millennium Flyer trains This is just a wish for the future but one can only dream

Kind of on the topic of footers- do you think those old footers on the inner loop the K.I.&.M.V.R.R will be reused for Winterfest?

Or a people mover if Ouimet wanted to go bold

Look at it this way- if the park tears it down, there's one less building that they can work with for future projects. The only building I wish they would demolish is the old Crypt building. That building is way to big to for what's currently in it.

Whenever I've ridden it this year, the other train would be dispatched while my train was climbing the final hill.

@Xdog42 I always thought it was modelled after the T-800 https://comicvine.gamespot.com/forums/battles-7/t-800-vs-ns-5skynet-vs-viki-531615/ "I'll be back"

I've been preaching for some Canada's Wonderland-type flats. I hope we get something

Even then I would still keep the name Vortex, Vortex 2.0 or something like that

Most of what you're asking for will only benefit a select group of people. Those cubby holes are great for people who don't want to buy a locker or have someone hold their stuff. My mom wears a fanny pack when she comes to the park and I don't think she looks stupid, nor do the hundreds of other guests who wear them on a day to day basis.

My tpr for wait times on 7-28-19. Mystic Timbers was a solid 15 minute wait from the time I arrived at 3 until close. Diamondback had 2 trains running all afternoon and evening which resulted is a 15 minute wait. Flight of Fear and Firehawk were around 15-20 minutes each. Everything else was a walk on. For some reason, Vortex associates were really trying to fight the stack like their lives depended on it.

I'm wondering how long Valravn will remain the ultimate Dive Coaster. I feel like another amusement park could break half of it's records easily: Tallest drop, longest drop, most inversions, speed, length, etc. I'm also suprised there's not a single Dive Coaster in the Six Flags chain.

Vortex is the most well received Arrow looper out of the whole Cedar Fair chain if not the industry. Not to offend anyone but Anaconda's design doesn't hold up in comparison to Vortex. Vortex was a true and successful first of its kind ride so I don't see it leaving anytime soon.

B&M's track record with Cedar Fair has been nearly perfect. Intamin's track record with Cedar Fair has been barely perfect.

Plus if it's closer to international street, grandparents and older individuals don't have to walk halfway across the park to get to them.
