I almost always where my Iron Manatee shirt to the park once and the Mystic Timbers ride associate told everyone to wave at "the guy in the Iron Manatee shirt" as we pulled out of the station.

I like both but if I have to pick a choice, I'd go with airtime. I love the feeling of both ejector and floater airtime whenever I ride a coaster. I love inversions but I prefer them on inverted coasters because you are essentially outside of the track and it feels like you're gliding through the air.

I've always wanted to know what the exact color names of coasters at KI and at other parks are. Is Diamondback red or technically maroon? Is Banshee magenta, purple, or an off red? Is Fury 325's blue the same blue that's on Leviathan. You get the point

I'm sure they like to tease people. They might hear minor things or rumors, from higher ups but not enough to give anything away. Greg said that the coaster process takes about three years of planning before the actual ride is installed. So when Banshee opened to the public, the park was basically planning for Mystic Timbers. I could be wrong but that's what I heard.

Once again I thought I'd update the list to add new rumors and put old ones to rest Kings Island Giga speculation- nothing new Flats in the next year or two Drop Tower possibly being renamed and repainted to Demon Drop- maybe on an off year Wolfpack or urgent scare being retired- If either buildings are completely stripped of haunt props and aren't going to be used the following season, that might hint at something bigger Triotech Mystic Timbers' shed might change the scenes as the seasons change Other Parks Kings Dominion- wing coaster, slightly rumored hyper coaster Canada's Wonderland- Invert or wing Carowinds- RMC hurler, Vortex sitdown conversion with a rename of Centurion Dorney Park- nothing except they are already teasing a new haunt attraction Cedar Point- Slightly rumored that a B&M flyer will appear within a few years, possibly a Polar Coaster to be added exceeding 500 ft. Possible dark ride Valley Fair- Rumored Invert near the front of the park, or Knott's Boomerang Michigan's Adventure- Knott's Boomerang Knotts- Possible Dive Machine by B&M or a whole new type of coaster California's Great America- Intamin shuttle coaster, the proposed hyper possibly being the largest hyper in the chain Worlds of Fun- Wing coaster Cedar Fair Ouimet teased at a whole new type of coaster. Could go to any Cedar Fair park but Knott's might be the best candidate Triotech proposed to come to all Cedar Fair parks in some form New found relationship with Intamin or possibly even Mack More coasters coming from GCI RMC could be going to parks that need a treatment, a ground up Cedar Fair RMC has yet to be done.

I'd really love to see what becomes of the vacant parts of the park. Ever since they tore out a huge chunk of WWC's que for Mystic Timbers, I'd like to see if they'd do anything to the old Flight Commander area, The Bat que, the land surrounding BLSC, etc. I never thought they'd put a coaster literally inside the KI&MVRR route so I'd love to see what else they could do.

I think there was a lot of hate before the ride even opened and a lot of it died down after the first couple of weeks. People always want bigger and longer rides so they tend to under estimate the smaller ones. Now I hear the GP saying how much they love the ride whenever I go to the park. I love the ride but I understand why people felt let down at first. Over hype and high expectations sometimes skew people's opinion of things. Look at Batman v Superman.

What are Kings Islands Plans after Mystic Timbers?
SonofBaconator replied to louisvillecards1's topic in Coming Attractions
If we are talking Triotech Dark Ride, it would be awesome if we got one in the form of a coaster like Wonder Mountain's Guardian or Arthur by Mack. It would be great if the park had another indoor attraction for when it rains or on hot days when people want to cool off. https://rcdb.com/11114.htm -
MT is running 2 trains currently. Everything else is a near walk on

I still think this goes along the lines of smoother coasters coming out. To be honest, the newer and smoother a coaster is, the rougher old coasters appear to be. I never think FOF changed in roughness, I think people's tolerance in roughness has changed

Every restaurant has a long line today, including Starbucks

Kings Dominion picture used on Kings Island's website

You can also see the actual Anaconda coaster in the far right corner -
I don't want an Intamin giga because our little sister park in Virginia already has one. B&M has proved they can tackle a giga twice with little to no issues where as I305 had to be retracked after it opened. And in terms of a launched coaster, I'd honestly prefer a Mack over a Blitz coaster.

The Amusement Park Railroad Thread

@kimv1972 That locomotive has been sitting there for years so I'm happy to see it go to a good home. There are at least half a dozen crown locomotives that I would give anything to see operate again -

Link? I'd love to see that happen and I'd love to be able to go down to Tennessee and see it -
@DiamondBanshee the GP seemed extremely satisfied with the addition of Banshee. A giga could keep the GP happy for a while. Diamondback kept people happy for 5 years before we got another coaster.

I had a conversation with a fellow co-worker about coasters the other day. He was from around Sandusky so he knew a lot about Cedar Fair and it's coasters. I asked him if he thinks KI will get a giga soon. To my surprise he said no. However his reasoning was interesting. He said coasters like Millennium Force are fun because of the height and speed but other than that, he preferred coasters like Maverick and Valravn. He said that parks should go for more unique rides like speedsters or 90 degree drops. While I disagreed with his response that the park shouldn't get a giga, he did make an interesting point.

I always considered Kings Island the "Night Ride Capital of the World." That argument could be made for any park but a decent chunk of KI's rides are surrounded by woods and very little light surrounds the area outside of the park. I haven't ridden Mystic Timbers at night yet so my top three are The Beast, Diamondback, and Banshee. Firehawk, The Bat, and Vortex are equally great night rides in their own right.

Something like this was actually pointed out in 2016 https://forum.nolimits-exchange.com/comments.php?DiscussionID=4383&page=5

I think the point is to be confused

I think CGA will get that Intamin launched shuttle that has been rumored by many.

I feel like this site should create some type of FRQ for these types of questions. There's nothing wrong with the questions, infact it seems like a lot of people have a ton of questions on here that can easily be answered by a moderator or any other credible member. Just a thought!

I'm all for intense rides but B&M is that one company where people can grow old and still enjoy their coasters. On average, when I go to the park anyway, I see more older guests on rides like Banshee and Diamondback as opposed to say Vortex and Invertigo. Younger enthusiasts might like head banging and graying out but as people get older they don't like it as much.
