  1. Sorry for back to back posts but here is one zoomed in as far as I can get it.. I didn't even realize these were in the pic.
  2. Here's what I took today. You can see the layout of the "footers" pretty good.
  3. Wind seeker is down and I can tell you flight deck was closed when I went to look at the old sob site..
  4. Me and my son ran through the crowd this morning and got front seat on Diamondback after a 20 min wait. Next we ran to Vortex and rode front seat on that second train of the year so almost no wait. Next we went to Flight of Fear, 55 minute wait. Took some time to check out some shops and the tower and just walk around before getting in line for The Beast, front car 1 hour 50 minute wait!! Ugh. But still a fun and great day!!
  5. I have my Platinum passes bought And my room booked at hotel Breakers. This will be my first trip ever to Cedar Point. Does anyone have some insight on what kind of crowds I can expect on these days? If I'm wanting to ride all there coasters would a Fast Lane pass be needed? I know Kings Island on days like that "middle of week when school is in" is pretty much so empty. I'm hoping I can expect the same at C.P..
  6. Maybe you should google "Ed Alonzo" he has a pretty impressive résumé..
  7. I rode the one in Myrtel Beach this summer the cars were amazing with doors on both sides that opened like elevator doors would. It was only 200' tall but still very fun and a great view. I could see the wheel from the beach in front of my hotel on North Myrtel Beach 6 miles away!
  8. There is a pic of a plaque posted on there Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/visitkingsisland?ref=stream
  9. I live 6 minutes away. I watch the fireworks from my house a lot. But you can find me there just about every Saturday for E.R.T. with my son.. Yes it is Awesome!! And as far as the new Jack in the box, I go past every morning about 5:20 and then again every afternoon around 3 and its always packed.. They had cops directing traffic in and out for the first two weeks. I have yet to eat there. When I do go are there any suggestions what I should get?
  10. It looked from the tower today that the two spots where they were working was because the Crain could swing back and forth between those two spots.
  11. I saw a dollar bill get stapled to the strangest thing there last year.
  12. I have twice been involved with people yelling and threatening me because I stopped them from passing me in line.. I usually start with where do you think your going? And end with them telling me I better watch my back.. As they go back to the end of the line..lol
  13. No not an employee. I guess I'm trespassing. I don't go past the closed gate just back to it. There are no signs saying "no trespassing" until you get to the gate. And I don't see any along the woods to the left as you drive down the road. I wouldn't hop the fence or go beyond any reasonable boundary.
  14. I go down that road all the time it just ends at some gates.. There are green houses back there and a great look at sob and flight deck. Now when you first turn on that road there is a path more then a road on the left that I have not yet been down but I'm sure when I see some action on sob I will head down there.
  15. It was an awesome place for pop acts 20 years ago.. My wife went to see Nkotb there with Tiffany. Lol.. I remember Brittany Spears being there with Nsync. I'm not sure why they stopped booking it.
  16. I have been told the same thing about The Beast unlimited. Of course I'm way to old for school but I may work with your friends dad..lol
  17. I tried to go to ki yesterday but was turned away.. I forgot it was closed for private event. So I drove around the back of great wolf lodge again there is a service road I believe Kings Island owns there. There are some buildings marked as "Kings Island green house" but any way from there you get a pretty good view of SOB. And I couldnt see anything happening yet.
  18. I met a gentleman while in line for a slide on Paradise plunge who was very informed about a lot of things going on at the water park. I thought "I bet he is a forum member" but I never ask him..
  19. Hey bb1 was that you about two weeks ago who told me it was the gel coat that I was seeing In the splash down pool of Thunder falls?
  20. My first time was when I was 6 years old at the 1982 worlds fair in Knoxville Tn. I was so excited to be tall enough I could hardly believe I was getting on. I have searched forever for the name of that coaster but I can't find anything. I remember it being something like the Python at Coney. When the ride was over I went running down the exit ramp towards my parents. It was very hot that day and with the combination of adrenalin and dehydration I passed out. Lol. Only time in my life I have ever fainted. I woke up in an on-sight clinic. But I was hooked! I now live in Mason and ride as much as I can. You can find me at K.I. Almost every weekend. With my 8 year old son of course.
  21. Im happy with them. IMHO Cedar Fair has a commitment to coasters and that's what I'm really in it for..
  22. I just drove past and even went around the back of Great Wolf lodge and there was no signs of demolition that I could see. :-(
