True Story: My phone fell out of my pocket on my first Diamondback ride of this season on Opening Day. Fortunately I had already planned on getting a new one, and like me, it wasn't smart. Now I know if I don't bring my fanny pack, I might as well not go to Kings Island. I also now know I should hold off on going to Kings Island until the Friday after Opening Day as crowds were much lighter.

It will be down most of the time. Very little of the time is a drop ride rising or at the top. He is saying the majority of the time on even operational drop rides is spent on the loading and unloading process. Then consider how they are generally "down" as in at the bottom of the pole, whenever the park is closed.
