If you find this thread interesting, you will likely want to give this older thread a read: http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?/topic/26170-possible-ride-station-location/ Now I definately feel Shaggy deserves props for calling the B&M giga.
-
Sure it doesn't prove anything, but what does your gut tell you? Do you have a guess at something we might see? Or is it perhaps you aren't able to speak freely on the matter?
-
Has DontWantToWait42Mar0 been in tune with the Islands of the Kings all along? I personally am stoked that we are getting a B&M giga. As I said before, I believe it is the most can't-miss coaster investment given the ride selection of KI, current and past. At this point, I think they are glad to have created the current "Giga Buzz"
-
I am saddened when reading this thread because here I am thinking that I am at the pinnacle of my Dodgem career, only to find out I have been playing Tee-ball. I really do need to consider going to another park besides Kings Island. Maybe Cedar Point this year.
-
You could look at it that way, or you could be happy since you now have a shorter time to wait until new steel arives at KI my friend! If Don didn't look both ways and then whisper into your ear, I wouldn't expect him to tell you the future plans for the park word for word, as that would probably be a breach in his employment contract. Now think about it, Don told you in 2012 that there wouldn't be a new coaster for a few years.. 2012 turned into, 2013 which looks like it is turning into, 2014 before construction is complete. So we lucked out since 2 years is the shortest possible "few" years we had to wait.

There is a lot of land that has been cleared, I think it's pretty safe to say it's a coaster bro.
-
Camp ground? Where would I be able to charge my cell phone?
-
But then what was Banshee trademarked for? Something in the future? With the construction currently underway at Kings Island, you'd have to think it would have a name reserved for it already.
-
So it's now more likely than not that Kings Island will be welcoming Banshee to the ride line up in 2014.

They let you measure the area?

The Brady Bunch Returns to Kings Island Recap
DontWantToWait42mar0 replied to Dane's topic in Kings Island
Looks like it was a great time! I had no idea Seth MacFarlane was in the Brady Bunch either. -
Before Banshee, what was the last name that Cedar Fair trademarked?
-
No matter what the name ends up being, we should still refer to the new coaster as Banshee on here. That'll teach them to mislead us.

Sometimes an itch is just an itch. It's time to scratch it.
-
Does anyone still believe this might not be a coaster? Because this certainly is one. I feel like some posters are superstitiously acting naive about it so not to "jynx it".
-
Have to be that guy here. I have been saying B&M Giga in SoB location 2014 for a minute. There was a strong rumor that KI needed an invert, or whatever else, but I didn't go along with that way of thinking. I'm sure I'm not the only one on the site to suspect it, and I was aided by reading information provided by posters here on KIC. The immediate reaction about the SoB demolition was how the skyline would change. What better way to begin a new chapter than adding a 300+ foot coaster on the opposite end of the park of Diamondback, and bring back the skyline? It was not ideal to have another wooden coaster in place of SoB, so steel is obvious here. SoB was HUGE. What would you expect from it's replacement? I think we are lucky to be getting the second B&M giga instead of the first Kings Island is a B&M park, embrace it. Alsmost glad this thread got locked now : Link to thread

Something reliable.

Surf Dog is an awesome change of pace ride from roller coasters. I suggest it to anyone who hasn't ridden it. It would be nice to see more attractions in the Surf Dog demographic be added to the park in the next few years.
-
I hope that's the park's way of informing us the Flying Eagles are making their return.
-
Could be anything, although most likely is B&M. They did deliver with Diamondback, and from what I have read, every other Cedar Fair coaster as of late...might as well stay in a close relationship with them.
-
Please don't ever write that again! I would be extremely sad to see that ever happen in my lifetime.Well if painting Racer is conisdered too expensive, then it makes you wonder, how valuable is it to the park?If it's not properly maintained, I'm ready to say goodbye to it.
-
Would be awesome, but not very likely. Hasn't it been reported that Dollywood officials toured Europa Park? Making them the more likely suitors for a Mack coaster...
-
...how? Compared to the transfer track footings for Leviathan (here I go again looking to hard into footings), this looks almost nothing like a giga from them. Also, considering Mr. Ouimette's aversion to the installation of another Wing Rider at a different park for 2014, why then would he be up to the idea of installing a coaster that would be a near "replica" of another within the same park? Finally, I'm more inclined to believe this could be a more modest-sized "family" coaster than what some believe, possibly being a Zierer launcher with a "drop" element to rival Verbolten/Thirteen, thanks to the BLSC diversion a while back. Either that, or maybe a floorless Beemer. Isn't it a bit early to begin building a modest-sized "family" coaster? One does not simply replace a towering 200+ foot tall wooden coaster that is still fresh in everyone's mind, with another something like BLSC in the same park. Diamondback is a huge hit, is it crazy to think people want more of it? See Canada's Wonderland...

I would love to agree, but unless i missed some info, in reality we don't even know if it's a B&M. All we know is there is a fence with a sign and footings being set behind that fence. Cedar Fair has been installing B&M's almost annually since '08.
