So In 3 years we are getting a 419ft tall B&M hydraulic launch coaster. Has to be close to Dragster but not Intamin and a little bit shorter. Lol only kidding, would follow Cedar Points plan though
-
I’ve seen it hit the Eiffel Tower before but I think that has lightning rods on it so it didn’t seem to effect it
-
Remember when they just had to push the restraint down and go? Ahh the memories.. which begs the question, will the new Giga come with the seatbelts installed or will it be like the original Diamondback
-
Hmmm can’t tell if good joke or sarcasm lol

@sikkinixx99 ^ so in other words not only do we get MF colors for the track and supports, we get the train colors as well?

I wonder if it ever opened today, I looked online at wait times and it said it was closed but that didn’t necessarily mean anything because Dragster was also closed. -
What you can’t do is ride a Giant Top Spin
-
We already have one of those. Lol

Let’s have galvanized silver supports. It can be Son of Millennium Force lol

Longest Giga drop in Ohio? Isn’t MF 300 exactly?
-
B&M does not manufacture any track.

Every time I’ve gone into Flight of Fear (last time was 2 years ago) it’s looked different. For a short time they had restored the orange “search lights” which would scan back and forth around the room and the lights would flicker for the launch also the lights seemed more purple and the room was overall darker. Now it seems like they have the LEDs set to an whiteish blue color and the orange search lights are gone again with no flickering. Here is was last weekend. Also even if they don’t bring back the onride photo I wish they’d bring back the flash from the camera in the launch tunnel or the star effects so it would seem like you were getting transported through the Outer Limits into space. They added a bunch of LEDs inside the bowl and que now it seems like several of the progressive additions they made in the past are gone.

I was in line for TTD. It went down 3 times in less than an hour and then before they fixed it the third time bad weather came in -

So I’m here right now it doesn’t seem as busy as I thought it would. Of course TTD, wicked Twister, and GateKeeper are down. -

Eh I doubt they’ll be like ANYTHING I’ve ever seen at King’s Island. Ive waited 3+ hours to ride The Beast at night during Halloween Haunt. Every queue house was open and full and the line spilled onto the midway past LaRoasa. I’m hoping that the forecast for 80% chance of thunderstorms across both days deters some from traveling and if there ends up being storms that the locals will thin out instead of waiting it out. -
So although I’ve gone to Kings Island for several years now, I’ve never made it to the northern Ohio park. That is all changing this weekend. I finally splurged on a platinum pass and will be there both this Saturday and Sunday. I know going on Memorial Day weekend would normally be a bad idea due to crowds but hopefully the weather forecast keeps folks away. Is there any tips for effectively navigating the park to hit all the main attractions over a span of 2 days? The main ones I’m interested in are SV, TTD, MF, and Maverick. Any input on if the rain would thin the crowd out on a holiday weekend and an efficient way to try and hit all the coasters?

I doubt it, the pole going between the arms would have been the brace preventing the arms from bowing inward. I’m not sure how Top Spins lock the gondola in place for flipping but if there was only a brake on one of the arms or if the insides of the gondola were not perfectly symmetrical, it would allow the arms to move slightly out of sync even with the same motor input on both sides due to uneven weight.

Imagine if they had spent more money to make the big tan box look like an actual temple.
-
I mean without blueprints what guest would know? They could tell you it was taller than Fury and you wouldn’t be able to tell otherwise because of how tall this thing is and 30-40ft won’t be noticeable at that height with just your eyes.
-
I’d imagine they cannot change that as the “click” you are hearing is the mechanism starting to release. It’s not a standard clamp like a paper clip style. It looks kind of like the rear window openers in Vans. You can watch it engage at the bottom as it isn’t concealed. Hydraulics push down from the catch car and appear to rotate something to engage to car. I circled the mechanism that I’m talking about, it rotates before attaching and releasing.

^ thread bump: What happened to Top Spins period. Almost all of them have been eliminated throughout the Cedar Fair chain.

The goddess on the front wall. It was stationary but it interacted with the riders and it was on top of the temple where the Triangle of Light was like in the movie. There have been rides with animatronics on it. Tomb Raider interacted with the theming elements to the point where the gondola swings lined up with what was in the room.
