And maybe they are just cutting down trees to make a new wood coaster for Wonderland....
-
God catch. Not sure why it's sitting there and not painted. So when you get your next KI pics, you are going to do a low flyover of CSF right? ;-)
-
I just realized, that's the piece that meets the transfer track It's the one shown in the Fury pic above. The other side is in the pic @ohiocoasterfan just posted. Actually it's marked transfer in that pic.
-
Well, it has station wrote on it, so we know its a station piece. Fairly positive its the one that meets up to this piece like seen on fury. The last piece before it goes into the lift. This also means the station goes straight into the lift and doesn't curve.
-
What do you mean by block section?
-
Nothing can be ruled out. Even if it's just primer coat, they can still roll it back in and paint it grey. It's that piece. Transition piece. Not sure if thats the piece that goes from station to transfer track or station to lift.
-
I was responding specifically to the post I quoted and not literally asking if it's brown primer. I actually addressed this on this very page.
-
-
Apparently. To read it as written it suggests that you think they are making two brown Hypers. I was pretty sure that wasn't what you were suggesting.
-
For a more apples to apples comparison as these are marked as the same station pieces. Not the same angle, so sizing is off, but the grey track has more bolt holes.
-
The tags on the Brown track literally say hersheypark on them. The fb page linked earlier has a pic of the tag. You are correct. Their letter codes for coaster track have long been established. The primered track is station track. The brown track it's next to isn't so it may not be an apples to apples comparison. The MCR is Hershey. The MCT is another hyper/giga. The F number looks consistent across the single coaster and is just an internal numbering most likely. The other number "#18" is probably track piece order for easier installation. I was assuming the gray track was just primered, and the writing on that seemed to confirm that until I realized the Hershey track says the same thing. I still think its just primered as its a flat look vs the shiny paint of the finished track, but I wouldn't bet the farm on it. As for the writing, it looks like "Primer & Flngs" to me which could be flanges.

I'd put the chances of a yellow and black coaster being built in Cincinnati as somewhere below 0.
-
Or the ones who were arguing it was a giga when there were clearly the double row of footers of an invert.
-
While I know its sacrilege and not likely to happen, but an RMC Racer conversion where it goes through the first half of the ride forwards, and the second half backwards would be pretty sweet.
-
Yeah, why they kept the old entrance/exit is perplexing. The closest "maybe" I can come up with is possibly going to reuse it for a flat in the area. But even that is tenuous.
-
My understanding is that footers need 90 days of curing before they start putting stress on them. When building a $30 million dollar attraction, you usually don't say let's save $50k by reusing an old queue. You want the ride entrance area to be a showplace and not be limited to what was there before. Yeah its odd. When you tear old growth tree roots out, the dirt is highly disturbed. You'd need quite a bit of compaction to get it back to construction ready. Factor in the rain we get this time of year and it's an even harder process. I'm guessing they are behind schedule or are worried they are going to get there if they don't work all the dry hours they can. Otherwise, not a lot of reason to pay workers those hours.
-
Once they start digging footers, the layout will start to be apparent pretty quick. I'm thinking next weekend, weather permitting they will have an area clean and flat and we may see some holes. That will likely be the station. Should be fairly easy to figure out which way its going after that.

To play devils advocate, during Banshee's construction, we already had footers in April. Those were already cleared in October, so aren't necessarily tied to the new coaster.

No one is arguing they aren't spending Money on CW. But some of that, and at Carowinds, is to get it up to the level of KI, CP, etc. KI already has a water park bigger than CW, plus a well rounded ride lineup, so they don't need to spend that money on it. That means they have more money to spend on big coaster. You just have given no sort of proof that they aren't spending money at KI. The opposite has actually been proven. Since 2009, they have built/are building 3 B&M's and a GCI. That's serious investment. There is more evidence that this a a giga than a wing. The Mike Kuntz interview linked above at least shows the park has been looking at a giga. Look at the other parks and see what CF has built. At CP they built a giga long before a wing or dive. At CW they built a Giga before a dive and do not have a Wing. At Carowinds they built a giga and do not have a wing or dive. So now you think at KI they will reverse that trend? Theres absolutely nothing saying they are even considering a Wing. KBF is a conundrum. It is year round and does big numbers, but is pretty limited on what they can do that. They don't seem to spend as much there as you'd think. It'll also always be in DL and SFMM's shadow.
-
You mean you won't be impressed with 2021's "Virtual Eiffel Tower light show"?
-
Investing in one park does not mean they can't invest in another. They have built/are building 4 major coasters at KI in 11 years. In that same time period Cedar Point, which dwarfs both CS and KI in revenue and attendance received two new coasters and two redo coasters(Rougarou and SV). KBF, which is on par with CP in revenue and attendance got a wild mouse, lost a boomerang and had a coaster refurb. CW got 3 coasters. Clearly they are investing in KI. They are actively building a B&M there right now. How can you say that the other parks are a bigger priority when their single biggest investment this year is going into KI? I don't see the logic there.

Want to start a pool for how long till the obvious troll with multiple accounts gets perma banned?

Double, but At some point CSF is going to need to free up space. Like you said, theres no reason they couldn't take delivery unless they don't have room.
