Yeah, I don't get the love for AE here. It is what it is though. It really doesn't work for RMC anyway. That location would be the general location where I'd put the next crowd eater. Either that or RMC Racer which makes more sense, but is less likely to happen.

RMC Adventure Express.

The first post of the thread has links. Would it have made it better that the blueprints didn't get found until just before the announcement? Would people taking pictures of the footers been so much better than what we have now? We knew a B&M was coming in August. There was very little chance of it being anything but a giga. We pretty much knew where it was going when they announced Firehawks removal. Without the blueprints, we wouldn't know anything until the announcement. I mean sure we can have 9000 more drawings at people's guessed of where it go after the footers we have now, but I prefer knowing.

Need more threads to keep spamming the same thing!

Well, it's technically Decoding 2020. You know, next year. You'd like an Intamin? Wow. Never would have guessed. And that same coaster you linked in another thread already at that? Wow x2.
-
We know two of those and the third can't be decoded.

Yeah. At this point we know the colors. I'd look at more pics, but theres nothing more we are going to learn from CSF. Personally I don't even think teasers matter at this point. Outside of the announcement and the lift getting built, there's not much exciting left.

DDN: 334-site outdoor resort, RV camping planned near Kings Island
fryoj replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
Where they are building the campground is over a mile away from the tower and the new coaster's location. I would be surprised if you could tell anything about the property from there. -
I don't know about paint, but it'll sure ruin a pair of pants. We had a 70 ft tall light tower flip a crane once.... At least with that track piece they didn't have the boom extended, so it didn't fall far.

Service life ends up being thrown out as a conveniently vague reason to remove an older ride. Sometimes it's they want to use the land, sometimes it's just too expensive to keep the ride going. In Vortex's case, it seems like they can still get parts, so I don't think it'll be an expense thing. I haven't heard much about the track or supports breaking like was supposedly going on regularly with Dragons at Universal. So I don't see Vortex getting removed for maintenance reasons in the near future. The question about do they want to use that plot for something else is another question. From a practical standpoint, as long as it keep running relatively full trains, it would be hard to replace it from a capacity standpoint. Anything else they put there isn't going to have a dramatically larger capacity. So it would take ridership dropping quite a bit to make a swap for a newer ride make sense. You want an Intamin? And a Blitz at that? Wow. Why have you never told us this before?

Talk about something being hyped up just to let the entire fanbase down... I wonder if they will remove the coaster in 2021. You know, one and done. No... The first we saw of Banshee was the storage shed. That was May 2013. No track or supports were delivered until August. After the the announcement. Nothing has changed that would make that timeline need to be different. Hershey track and supports are starting to leave CSF, freeing up room. Diamondback was being built before the announcement IIRC, but all we had for Banshee was footers. You just put cribbing down to keep it from sitting directly on the ground. Right now at CSF they have painted track in gravel and grass areas. Mud splashing from rain does not scratch paint.

Except he says the top is blue and the bottom is silver. He's playing off the pics that had the sky reflecting making the bottom look silver. People jumped to conclusions off that one pic and haven't kept up with the newer pics. There's no "if" to this. The guy made it up.
-
The track isn't Blue and Gray, so it was obviously made up anyway.

Anyone recall the days when Vortex and Beast both would have 3 hour waits? No. The difference between 2020 and past ride openings is theres a lot more ride capacity than in the past. If the line for the new coaster is too long, you still have DB, Banshee, MT, Etc, Etc, to ride. The first few weekends will be crazy as people will be making trips to be one of the first. But by the time they hit daily ops, 2 hour waits will be rare. I think that stems from the fact that there really aren't a lot of true B&M fan boys. You just have a lot of people that recognize that parks are going to buy a quality ride that will last a long time and rarely break down over a ride that you can just about guarantee will make your customers sit in line not moving for hours since it's broke down again. Eventually though, the Intamin fan boys will disappear though as parks are just going to stop building them. The current Hagrid mess is more of the same. Great ride, but they can't keep it open. Not sure how the GP would respond to a coaster that is hyped through the roof, starts fast on some bunny hills, but breaks down consistently before the end.
-
It won't happen as the queue would have to cross the ride exit path to get to the Firehawk queue. That would be chaos.

Count me in the those pieces are scrap camp. With the amount of track they make, theres going to be screw ups. Maybe they got dropped. Or hell, maybe someone forgot to hit "next" on the super C&C machine(or whatever cuts the steel) and they made duplicates. Either way, if they were going to be sent out, they wouldn't be buried.

If knowing how big companies work makes you a cynical lady, sign me up!

Hence why I said poorly built AND around today. If it was 100% a clone they would not have different heights and drops. Even in the pics you can see differences. While it was clearly based on Vortex, it is not a 100% clone.
-
Not painted black. That's the oil coating that comes on them from the steel plant. That pile is newer than the others, so the oils haven't washed off yet.
-
They'd still have it inside if it still needed painting. Like the other person said. It doesn't need much time before you can mask it. That gray should be the support color. Honestly, with that blue, I think gray probably matches as well or better than any other color. Also, you'll never need to paint the supports.
-
Things can change. We may see no teasers at all.
-
Which leads to any kind of pass program being shot down in the future. They do a bad design and blame it on the guests.
-
The layouts are similar but not clones. Height, drop, speed, length are all different. We've never seen the teasers here like have been seen at CP and Carowinds. Until I see differently, I wouldn't expect that to change.

"watch for falling trees" and a sign about paranormal activity were all KI got for teasers correct? Paramount built Top Gun, FOF, Face off, SOB, and IJST. Three were custom, two were not.
