Paramount was trying to do more of the Disney thing than the CP thing. Theme park over amusement park. They just didn't have the budget and the the ability to do year round operations for that to work. That being said, Paramount added 5 coasters to the park. As of right now, CF has added 4. During the Paramount Era, CP also added 5 coasters, only 2 of which were B&M. If SOB hadn't been so poorly built and was still here to be RMC'ed today, I think the Paramount era is looked at differently.

Thanks! Whats the link to the footer plans? I'd like to add them as well.

I'm not sure if you have a camera with good zoom or not, but a pic of the end of one of the blue pieces with the "MCT" marking clearly marked would be nice. I think we are sure that it is there, but I've not seen a clear shot of one. Also pics of the area to the right where the gray pieces have been stacked to see whats there now. Edit: Meant to quote @collin.klopfstein

That's probably not the top of the lift. There's not a chain guide on that piece of track. You can see what I'm talking about on the hershey track in the foreground of the pic. Theres a channel for the chair to ride in. That piece is poissibly ST3 which would be part of the brake run.

Yeah, but we are talking about @sixohdieselrage's fantasies here, not yours.

WindSeeker is this tall

No. The footer designs are the same across most, if not all, of their coasters.
-
If someone posts the links again, I'll add them to the first post.

Oh I've said all along they will call it a Giga and claim 300 ft. They could put a 10 ft flag pole on top of this thing to get the official height if they really wanted. The documents have the "top of lift" height listed but we really don't know where they's measured from. I'd assume rail height, but there's a hand rail there that it could be calling the top. It's something we'll likely never know. For now, all we have is footer heights and "top of lift" to go off of.
-
The foundation plans. The initial set of documents people got from the city.
-
You'd have to submit your inquiry to the international board of roller coaster classifiers. In other words, giga is a made up term so there's no one to define what counts. Actually, we know the footers at the apex of the lift are about 10 ft higher than the ones at the station. That's where the whole 285/295 height thing is coming from. The top of the lift will be 295 ft above the ground at the station and 285 ft above the ground at the peak itself.

Looks like they are just cleaning it up and shaping for drainage. In case anyone gets any bright ideas, that won't affect the drop height. Too sharp of an angle.
-
The "discounts off a 2013 Season Pass" was a subtle hint too ;-)
-
My sister got stuck at top of Drop Zone when it opened. They were up there like 15 minutes....
-
My guess is now that they have the station footers drilled, they were able to physically look down the line and noticed the trees were too close to the eventual track location and needed cut back. The plans would show flats if they were going to be any. If that was the plan, they probably wouldn't have the station where its at blocking off expansion areas.
-
Those are not footers. They appear to be concrete weights. While never that big, I've seen something similar to that being used to secure tents to. I wouldn't think that this type of structure would need those, their presence suggests otherwise.
-
Which puts it almost in the river. Probably wanted to make sure that footer is especially stable.
-
Probably lighting or something else for Grand Carnivale.
-
Yeah the first clue that it's not complete is the rebar sticking up. They are pouring these piers as soon as they are drilled, so they all have concrete at them at this point.
-
Not sure why we got 2 minutes of walking down the street there, but ok
-
So they use a generic name, cover the entire picture with that name that doesn't even match their logo, then only post it on Insta so we can't even get the original image to try and clean it up. Wheres Midway Mayhem when you need them?

Link to original media? Searching for "coaster media" gives too many results.
