Agh English can get so complicated and confusing!

Check here for all the clues/teasers/info about 2014. Also, be sure to check out this thread, especially the last several pages, for some interesting speculation. At first this image I saw confused me since I believed it referenced something about the campground for 2014, however after reading someone's post on PB I now look at the teaser images differently. Could it still relate to the campground or could it be hinting at something more? Here's what PB user "Gatekeeper2013" had to say about it: "Okay. Here is some food for thought. As most of us know, the main rumor is for a dark ride (although we really have no idea) but I think I may have come close to cracking it: some type of a 3D dark ride. Here is why I suspect this. In all the pictures, it is blurry, just like a 3D movie is without the glasses. Tony said that no layer on Photo shop could clear this up which could point to needing something else (them) to bring it to focus. I am guessing it will be a ride like Toy Story Mania but most likely much better and more innovative as said in the conference call. This is the best guess I have. What I am trying to say is that I don't think it has to do with what is in the image, but the meaning of the image: 3D." If this turns out to be the case, then I'd definitely say this was an excellent way for Tony to tease people.

Platinum all the way!

Yes, they're not dead at all. Several years when I wanted to go to HalloWeekends for the first time (and am now in love with it) my family decided to go on a Friday since I read how empty it was supposed to be. Well it was quite a shock to get to the park and find it far from emtpy. Everything still had decent waits, and sometimes even long waits. I remember waiting 45min-1 hour on many of the haunts.

SFGAdventure 7/15/13 - hot, short lines, and fun

^Keep in mind that the $25-30 million included the coaster itself (which is fairly long when compared to some other coasters) and the demolition/construction of the main entrance. -

Yep pretty interesting. Here's another account of the tale: Fairport Harbor Lighthouse on Lake Erie, the oldest lighthouse on the lake, is home to probably the cutest ghost. The light was discontinued in 1925, and was turned into a museum. In 1989, the resident curator was in the kitchen when she saw out of the corner of her eye something small and dark flitting by. A few seconds later she saw it again. Looking around the corner of the door, she saw a small gray cat, almost like a puff of smoke, scampering around the floor. It had no feet, and moved about the floor almost on invisible wheels. It had iridescent gold marble like eyes and feathery gray fur. It seemed to chase something, then scooted around the corner and disappeared. The curator saw the puff many times over the winter, and even played with it by tossing an old sock down the hallway, which the cat would chase. The last family of keepers, the Babcocks, had a little boy who died when he was 5 years old. Shortly after, Mrs. Babcock took ill and was confined to bed for several months. During that time, she was kept company by one particular kitten of the many house cats, who delighted in chasing a ball down the hallway and bringing it back to her. The living room where the curator encountered the ghostly kitten used to be the bedroom where Mrs. Babcock stayed. An addendum to this tale: Workers doing some reconstruction of the lighthouse is the winter of 2000-2001 discovered the mummified remains of a cat in the crawlspace. It was determined that the poor creature had gotten trapped in there and was unable to get out of the cold, dank space. The remains of this kitty are on display at the museum. 1. Dollywood really seems like it has a great variety of fun rides, even more now with the new coaster. 2. The new resort looks beautiful and very well designed. 3. $300 million within 10 years? That's a pretty serious investment and I'm sure will only result in awesome things for the park. Combining all 3 of these things I now have a new park I'd like to visit within the next several years. Nice job, Dollywood. You just ensured youself a new money spending patron soon.

^Yep, Squire's Castle is a great place and is fun to hike all around. And are you referring to the Fairport Lighthouse with the cat? Here's the pic of the "orbs:"

Ahh can't believe I didn't catch that. But according to this article it still could be correct to say what I did: http://www.dailywritingtips.com/could-care-less-versus-couldnt-care-less/ I'll admit that technically I was incorrect, but as seen in the link, I wasn't entirely wrong haha.

Ok I'm clueless What did I do?

^^Did he like DT?

I love Invertigo. I think it's a fun, eye catching ride that, like others have said, provides a nice variety in the park. I truly miss Wildcat. DT on the other hand, I could care less about. Maybe it was better in its younger years, but the only thing I know it as was the smelly, hot-as-a-furnace, super short ride inside the ugly box with pretty much no theming. As long as CP gets a new family coaster within the next couple years, in no way would I ever regret the removal of DT.

how many people in 8th grade would care about roller coasters?
Ride On_17 replied to CP&LERR Fan's topic in KI Polls
Sure as heck I did when I was going into 8th grade. I was hooked since I rode my first real coaster (Big Dipper) when I was 5 or 6. -
I visited many supposedly haunted places while in Scotland. Some of them truly felt creepy to be in but nothing happened to me. The only thing is that in one of our pictures of Ernest Shakleton's quarters on board the RMS Discovery docked in Dundee, there was an orb over the chair. I always think these so called "orbs" are just dust particles, but it was interesting since this was the only picture from the ship that had one. Think of it as you wish, but it's still interesting either way.

Heide Park Wing Coaster
Ride On_17 replied to Ride On_17's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
And here are the other stats "Americanized", assuming the article is correct: -length = over 2532.8 feet (a short ride, IMO) -height = 131 feet (roughly) -speed =62 mph (roughly) So this coaster is definitely not very big, but it looks like it will pack a punch and its compact layout looks exciting. -

That airtime hill also looks to provide some strong airtime since it doesn't seem to be very tall. I imagine you'll get some decently strong upward forces since you'll be flying over the hill at close to the high speed.
