  1. Almost halfway through KI's off season! We made it this far, we can make the final stretch!
  2. Like I said before everything disappeared, I wish I could go but Science Olympiad Regionals are the same day. But of course the bad weather date works for me.
  3. Wow. Just reading through your report is making me giddy with excitement too! A few years ago when I went to Universal, I was blown away by Hogsmeade. Diagon Alley was still under construction, so unfortunately I haven't experienced that area and all of those attractions yet. Reading this and seeing all the videos you included is really making me want to go back. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this! You're doing an amazing job and I can't wait for the rest! The way you're describing everything is allowing me to visualize it all and it feels almost as if there right now. Great job, and glad you hear you had an amazing trip! IAAPA is definitely on my list to go sometime soon too.
  4. According to their website they have everything from milk to ice cream. Pretty much all dairy products. But it doesn't seem like a FroYo type of place. http://www.prairiefarms.com/products.aspx
  5. This could be considered as a small announcement, but I'm happy about it! Personally, I love Heinz way more than Red Gold and am glad for the switch back. Coke AND Heinz now??? I love it. http://cpfoodblog.com/cedar-fair-ketchup-partnership-change/ (fixed link) Thoughts?
  6. Whatever is in the works for CP, it's really exciting me. This could be the start of that Blue Streak midway expansion/renovation project I've been dreaming about for the past several years. Time will only tell but I have a feeling that the 2015 season will be home to lots of speculation in that area...
  7. Here's an awesome aerial video showing off how truly beautiful this coaster is. Absolutely stunning. I'm also in love with how the underside of the track pops out with the contrasting bright green color. I hope many other coasters in the future will have this unique feature. I love how the track color changes depending on your angle and the twists of the track. https://www.carowinds.com/online-fun/webcams
  8. I'm really not sure how to react to this... http://www.myfoxphilly.com/story/27573838/video-biker-rides-dirt-bike-on-roller-coaster I can't decide whether I should be with amazement or "wow, he's stupid." Probably a mix of both!
  9. With a name that sparks visions of massive thrilling rides and a logo to follow suit, I can only wonder if these are just the first and most minor concepts developed by this company. I feel like they would also have roller coasters and thrill rides. Hopefully eventually they will announce larger projects, but at least these are a start.
  10. I still prefer Cedar Fair over Six Flags, but these types of attractions, ideas, and quality are what CF really needs to improve on. I'm just hoping Voyage to the Iron Reef will be an improvement based off what I've seen and heard of WMG. I feel like the amusement park industry, for the most part, is no longer focused on building the tallest and the fastest, but rather the most immersive and unique. To keep up and stay competitive, I really hope CF takes some risks in these areas.
  11. Twisted Colossus (I probably won't get to ride it anytime soon but out of the options, that one intrigues me the most) Cedar Point Great Adventure
  12. Let the countdown to 2015 begin!

  13. I understand that people will always complain about everything amusement parks announce, but I just don't understand it. I've seen so much hate on social media about these additions. Parks can't just add major roller coasters and thrill rides year after year. To ensure their continued success as an amusement park people are willing (and able to afford) to go to, there needs to be balance. Adding these 2 new family rides are a perfect way to follow up Banshee. I'm especially glad the park will finally get Flying Eagles again. As a Starbucks fan, I'm very impressed with this new change. Even if you're not a Starbucks fan, I don't see what all the hate is about. There already was an existing Starbucks in the park, now it's just getting moved and revamped to one of, if not the best one in the entire Midwest. It will definitely add visual appeal to the front of the park with such a large and elegant structure as shown in the rendering. I'm also happy with the other renovations and updates to some of the shops along International Street. For parks to continue to attract visitors and progress in today's society, sometimes major updates are critical. Look at Cedar Point this season with the refreshed Gemini Midway. Look at how far small improvements can go. They really do make a huge impact. Ouimet is continuing to do an amazing job at turning his parks into pleasant, updated, and family friendly places to make memories and have fun. I feel like the new additions and changes for 2015 are just what the park needs at this time.
  14. Exciting about the Scooters, sad about the owner. The name "Cedar Creek Flyers" has me curious. Is there a back story behind the whole Cedar Creek name (Mine Ride at CP and this new ride?) or is it just another ride with the same general name? I always figured Mine Ride was given the Cedar Creek part of it's name due to it being at Cedar Point and being build around a watery area. I wonder why they also chose to go with Cedar Creek for this new ride at Dorney.
  15. I originally posted that picture showing the unpainted trims, but they have since been painted. Looks like they are staying, but wonder if they will be used. It could be possible that to save the cost of removing and fabricating new track, they just painted over it to save time and money without the intention to ever use it again.
  16. And then there is CP's Segway Guy... (I actually love seeing in the park. It's the most unusual thing...and the park lets him go about it business, riding all around the park. So funny to see!)
  17. Considering the only Cedar Fair parks I've been to are Cedar Point, Kings Island, and Dorney (and 2 of those aren't options), I'd go with Dorney. 2 words: Steel Force. Probably THE smoothest coaster I've ever been on. Combine this with lots of airtime, and it's simply amazing. Plus there's Demon Drop... It may seem like a small, boring park, but it has a nice collection of rides.
  18. I actually think it's fun to wear other park shirts. For example, I've worn Great Adventure shirts at CP, CP shirts at Great Adventure, Kings Island shirts at CP, CP shirts at KI....etc. It's a converstation starter, especially when I wear a CP shirt at Great Adventure. People there (employees and guests alike) are always really interested in hearing which park I like better. It was also fun encountering a Kings Island employee in line for Dragster since he commented on my Banshee shirt. I love seeing other peoples' shirts, and I love wearing them at different parks.
  19. This is such a brilliant idea! So cool and innovative. KI made the right decision by adding it (and more in the future, I'm sure) and I hope other CF parks will get them too.
  20. Tony just posted a new blog update, as well at the first "Rougarou Files" video. https://www.cedarpoint.com/blog-article/online-fun/The-Rougarou-Files?mobile=0
  21. 1. Firehawk - As already said, it has a horrible capacity. I'd love to ride it with no lines. 2. Vortex - Older, not as fun coaster, but I don't see it going away any time soon. 3. Action Zone - Banshee is beautiful. (And I love the "whoosh" sound Drop Tower makes. It's fun listening to.)
  22. A 10/3 Rougarou picture update: I really, really love the new colors! Old and new: The trim break on the drop isn't painted...hmmmm...Could that mean it will get removed??? I love that big, orange loop. A cool perspective: I can't wait to ride Rougarou next year!
