Geez, some of you people are so close minded. Look, for one, PKI's DZ is taller, but it's drop is shorter. So what the heck does it matter if the tower is taller but you go a shorter distance up that tower? Does having a longer stretch of tower above your head make it a better ride for some unknown reason? There is no way to decide which is better to you until you ride them both. I haven't been to PKI so I don't know which is better and even if you have ridden both, that is your opinion on which is the best, so the world won't end if someone disagrees with you.

The pictures look very good guys! Especially the night ones

Here are some pictures of the other Eurofighter that's operating. That looks like it would fit the Addam's Family theme much better than a B&M dive machine. It could definitely be made to fit inside a mansion type building, possibly with the vertical tower sticking out of the top. That might be cool.

It sounds possible to me, maybe in the next 2 to 3 years. That would give PKI a great collection of flat rides, which is important. And since PCW got one last year, other Paramount parks will probably start looking into them.

By cloned rides, I'm guessing you're talking about Batman the Ride for example. If so, why would there be any questions about them. They are separate coasters on their own and at all different parks. That may have not been what you were talking about though.

Vortex opened on April 11th, 1987 and The Beast opened on April 14th, 1979.

I say it is only 1 coaster but 2 coaster tracks. That is the way they are counted when a park's coasters are added. For example, you say that PKD has 12 coasters and 13 coaster tracks. Just because they have 1 more track than actual coasters doesn't mean that it is 2 rides. BTW, how exactly do we vote in this poll? The question says is it 1 or 2 but the answers are yes and no

I think that all Paramount parks will be opening more rides that are themed to various movies. I think that PKD will be opening a Tomb Raider coaster sometime (not like PCW's though) and the Paramount parks could be getting Star Trek themed attractions, even if they aren't coasters. I like that idea about having a Hollywood themed section. That would be pretty interesting

What new film will the Paramount FX Theater offer?
Grunts Rock replied to italianchef's topic in Coming Attractions
I know that PKD is keeping the same two shows that they had last year - SpongeBob and that Indian Jones one (I forget the last part of the title). At PKI are both sides in 3D? Only one side here at PKD offers a 3D movie. I think it would be cool if all Paramount parks redesigned one side of the theater into 3D or 4D and brought in a new version of the Days of Thunder ride -
I was getting a weird looking version of the forums, but I just hit the Delete cookies set by this board at the bottom of the main forums page and it worked fine. But when I logged in again, it went back to the weird forum skin.

Looks great guys! You all did some really nice work. V1 was good but v2 looks ever better. Keep it up

I very seriously doubt that they are from Volcano. For one, Drop Zone has what, 40 seats? One train from Volcano only has 16 seats and I don't think they took all the seats off all the trains and shipped them to PKI. It just makes no sense at all.

I just looked through the media center archives on PKI.com and you guys suck! You have a ton or pictures while PKD has barely put anything up. I think I'll have to talk to Mark Riddell about that And I'm sure that the site loads a little slow on dial up. Heck, sometimes it loads a little slow here at work and we have cable.
-
The Vekoma flying dutchman may have a vertical loop, but a B&M can have a pretzel loop, which is much much better. They have a lot better seating as well.
-
How in the world are those old seats from Volcano?
-
I was wondering when PKI was going to follow PKD and PC's footsteps with the websites. Looks much better. The Paramount websites were overdue for a redesign.

I'll just add another congrats Chef! Enjoy fatherhood! You'll learn as much from it as your son does

But have you ever been on Volcano (Intamin LIM)? The launch on that thing is insane and there is much more to the ride than the air launched coasters, but that's kind of another topic.
-
I would go with either the Intamin LIM or the S&S air launch. They both have really intense launches so it's hard for me to actually pick between the two.

PKI's attendance isn't going to take a huge plunge just because they have gone a few years without a major coaster addition. Like Ryan said, the park is targeting mainly families who don't care that much about huge coasters. And no matter what, even if they don't add another coaster you know all of you PKI enthusiasts will still go to the park. And remember, the park's attendance even went up last year from the previous year by 3% dispite the economic and terrorists situations. And you might as well face it, PKI is not going to break Cedar Point's coaster record. That idea is a little to far "out there" for me. I do think PKI already has a signature coaster, which would probably be a duo actually - Beast and Son of Beast. But PKI having the best wooden coasters is just an opinion. If that were so, their woodies would have come out a lot higher than they did in the 2003 wooden coaster poll. Beast - 51st, Son of Beast - 148th, Beastie - 158th. I mean Scooby-Doo's Ghoster Coaster at PKD only finished 3 spots behind Son of Beast.

Those are some awesome pictures man! Especially the ones of The Bat. I've never seen that many good pictures of the ride before. I love seeing old pictures of theme parks
-
It's not the exact same because it is on a much larger scale, but they use the same concept on some of their smaller coasters.
-
So this coaster was pretty much exactly like the Galaxie that was at PKD. Here is my page for PKD's Galaxie, with one of only 2 pictures I have seen for it. Too bad old classics like these go away

I'm about 6'0" and we have the Anaconda here, which is Arrow of course. It can be pretty rough if you don't know how to hold your head back. I really wish that they would change Anaconda over to lap bars only like Premier did on FoF. That would make the ride so much more enjoyable, but it's an awesome ride anyways

Very true. Just because a movie is advertised on the park's website doesn't mean that they are going to make a ride out of it. I think they have changed the ad to the Perfect Score now, and I don't see a ride coming out of that, but I could be wrong.
