  1. I like Slaughter House best. I am not a huge fan of having things jump out at me, so going through any of them is torture to a point. It puts me into jump at everything mode the rest of the night. The Jack-in-the-box in Planet Snoopy scared me as it went off when I walked by it Friday night. That is a creepy looking thing during the day at night it is far worse.
  2. Boo fest operates daily during the summer and into the evening during the fall. I can't imagine the frights that are offered at this park.
  3. Beast is probably less than an hour. The line is moving pretty fast considering how busy it is.
  4. My favorite fireworks show is always Thunder Over Louisville. It would take a lot to top it.
  5. Not sure if anyone has gone to this event before, but it is very reasonably priced. $30 per carload (must be legally seated, so I presume no one can hide in the trunk) other pricing required depending on size of vehicle is listed on their site. Gates open at 4:00 p.m. and includes: Classic rides FREE with carload admission. Live shows at the Lakeside Pavilion at 4:30, 5:30, 6:30 and 7:30. The main event stage for competitor and judge introductions will be at the northwest corner of the Pool area near the park's main gate. I have never been to Coney other than in the mid to late 80's for a concert. So, I am interested in possibly going to this if I can find a few others to go with us. More information is on their site: http://coneyislandpark.com/event_calendar.php?cID=93
  6. I presume you will be going there and checking it out. You will need to let us know how much fun it is. $22 seems a bit pricey, but it might be less busy than Perfect North Slopes.
  7. ^ I knew which song you would pick. The crazy gray haired lady drives me nuts. I have never paid attention to the song. My favorite song I have ever heard at Kings Island is The Reflex by Duran Duran. I have only heard it once. It was Labor Day 2012 and we were walking by near The Beast entrance. See, my daughter loved One Direction and would screaming or screech when she would hear them on the radio. So I vowed next time I would hear Duran Duran I would act just like her....and I did. It was a wonderful thing. My favorite song they play now is One Republic's, Love Runs Out.
  8. I thought you'd be nicer than Zach. Ha!
  9. Maybe. I know you will instigate instead of protect though lol. Edit: this was directed to UnrealNightmare. However, I am sure my fate would be the same with Sam and probably upstop.
  10. To my knowledge you get to keep the key. I think they look better than the pic.
  11. They were the miniature goats that were friendly. We went through Sunday around 2:00 or so, and they weren't very busy. I only saw one joey, but it was cute.
  12. The goats are actually awesome. They are very friendly and love to be petted. They are in a small area and get out and walk around. I petted one and it followed me around. One let my daughter keep taking selfies with it. They are probably the best animals I have seen at a petting zoo.
  13. Yes it was. You missed me making friends with the goat though. I don't know how I was lucky enough for none of you to witness it. it was a shining moment for me though.
  14. I really want to do the Skeleton Key, but I am a huge chicken and going through with just Princess Sparkles and I is not happening. I need to find someone who is brave enough to go through with us. We are possibly more frightening than the scare actors. Some of you know how scary we are. I did ok in Slaughter House (kind of ok by my standards) and in Club Blood. The gentleman that greets you at Club Blood is awesome. Sam in Slaughter House is the best.
  15. Sorry to double post but here is Princess Sparkles and the alpaca or llama. I know there is a difference. Her new found friend appears to be smiling.
  16. ^ I will have to get Katie to send me her selfie of her and the llama (or alpaca?)
  17. Yesterday we went to the Snoopy's Halloween Party. The youngest in our group was 17. I loved the petting zoo. The goats really like to try to escape (my daughter calls them her escape goats). There are several animals including a very lazy (but adorable) kangaroo that lounged in a bag. It is definitely worth going over to check out, especially if you have younger children. The goat is somewhat agreeable to having selfies taken.
  18. After seeing it the second time I liked it better. I still think the anticlimactic act needs to be modified. It pales in comparison to Cirque Imagine at least at this point. I had heard Philip was the one who returned, but with only a glimpse at the end of their faces, it is hard to tell.
  19. ^I was hanging out with someone who had to leave early and it would not have been enough time to wait. Hoping to go in this one tonight.
  20. Opening night is rarely great in live performances. The show has potential. I hope they modify the one lengthy act or remove it. The guy that used fire in his act has potential to be phenomenal.
  21. I was at the park last night and thought it was pretty calm. From my experience, any event that is going to be at night with a higher volume of teens/young adults, there will always be a high police/security presence. Less parental supervision means someone has to babysit the crowd because it is natural for young people to push the rules and boundaries. I would hope they would never release the number of security/police that is present in the park. Doing so could cause more harm than good. I thought they had a well balanced security/guest ratio last night. As Haunt goes on and crowds increase, I would suspect security would increase. I have only heard the park use the PA system for weather related things and know it is effective. They do a great job relaying that type of information to park guests. I will presume if a situation occured that could jeopardize the safety and well being of park guests, it would be as effective. I am sure a plan is in place if such an event would occur. I have gone to the park since 1974 (yes, I am old). I have yet to have an incident occur where I have ever felt my safety was in jeopardy. I have seen security handle a variety of circumstances and have always thought they handled things quickly and effectively. Most incidence have been people fighting. With all honesty, the amount of times I have gone to KI in the 40 years I have gone, I have not seen excessive issues. I saw more issues pre Cedar Fair days than now, but definitely never anything excessive.
  22. I loved Slaughter House. I didn't go through KillMart the line was long.
  23. If you use #kingsisland during Haunt, your picture can be used on FUNTV. Princess Sparkles was featured twice. I only saw this one.
