Platinum passes are well worth the price to me because if I go to Cedar Point or any other park that's not Kings Island I go for multiple days not just one. Even the trip I have for Cedar Point this year we are going one full day and then for the next morning before leaving. Ive already got an awesome discount for having a Platinum pass at Sandcastle Suites.

I am 5'11 and 260 the only ride I have yet to fit on at either Cedar Point or Kings Island is Drop Tower. It more so depends on your shape than your weight.

Although there's a 'political answer gotcha' in that. The 10% is off the 'standard rack rate', not off the best rate available. So you're not gonna get 10% off the deal you booked online, but it's there if you can't find any other deal around so it's better 'n nothing. The rates vary depending on place. I got $70+ off at Sandcastle Suites.

I read it as you'll be picking your seat based on what where you end up in the top 32. So the first person chooses where they want to sit and so on in order until that train is filled.

Im hoping to hold my spot as of now so I can either choose the first or the last row for the first train.

Things are still changing on the event page. I was listed 6th now im 7th. I think they are organizing the offline donations.

No specific instructions were given in that e-mail. It was just a "congratulations you've raised the amount needed to take part" plus the general information thats on the event page of First Giving. I asked if we would be receiving an e-mail similar to the media day one with an itinerary on it in the Scream For a Kid Again thread. I believe it was Sara who responded saying we would after the money raising period was over.

At Cedar Point if you have a Platinum Pass you will get at least 10% off their hotels. I can tell you Sandcastle Suites is more that that off.

There may be another ride or two in that area open. Cedar Point opened a couple of rides for Gatekeeper media day last year.

I see they had the one video removed and another one has surfaced over night.

They should have hit the $100,000 mark. It looked to me like yesterday alone on the event page people raised $4,000.
