I have your new attraction for 2005. The Eiffel Tower is going to be replaced by a Jeffrey Siebert Statue that will use the old elevator. This is for the folks whom believe that Mr. Siebert is a God so you can properly worship him. You heard it first here folks!

Maybe higher gas prices have contributed to less spending in the park?
-
Yeah, PKI is the flagship park as it was the first in the chain. And, remains the most popular.
-
Your poll can't be accurate because you can only choose one and vote. My favorites are: 1) The Beast 2) Delirium 3) Vortex 4) Face/Off 5)Son of Beast

So, it sounds like I was more on target with a dark ride as opposed to a coaster. If this is the case, then I think they would put that ride in their flagship park.
-
I read the same article on PKIU and was confused by the whole racer with one side. I'm quite sure that there were always two tracks. If there was only one, why would you call it The Racer? Who's it going to race?

Get me some Cliff's Notes please. But, good TR.

Yeah! I loves Hong Kong Phooey! Number 1 super guy. Quicker than the human eye. (Ok, I have seen that cartoon way too many times)
-
Yeah, brwntggr, what I was saying is that it kinda sounded like a dark ride experience like Spider-Man, but without the 3D animation. I'm sure much of the cost was related to that. I imagine that it would be more like a SDATHC, but instead it would speed you from scene to scene. I respect your opinion Scooby Doo, I was just curious as to why you didn't like it. Honestly, I wouldn't mind if it was a wild or spinning mouse coaster. I have wanted to ride one, but nothing yet.

It's not really a common word, but I used the word immersive and it came up with no suggestions, but thought it was misspelled.
-
Why did you think the Italian Job idea sucked? You really can't tell much from the description. And, from what almost everyone here and at PKIU says, it seems everyone would like to have some kind of immersive ride experience like Spider-Man and it sounds like Italian Job would be similar except for the 3D animation.

Yeah, I like the way the lines keep moving at CP. You never seem to stand in one place for a very long time, unless it's the Mantis. I like that ride, but the long wait is miserable.
-
AmazonAllen, you left out B&M's reliability.
-
FOF, some of the reasons that some of PKI's lines move so slow is low ride capacity like Delirium and Tomb Raider. I would also inclued RRR as it only has one train and I waited longer to ride that one than some of the larger coasters. CP buys rides with higher capacity. That's why they win the Golden Ticket Award every year for capacity. The most recent one I can think of that doesn't have great capacity is Wicked Twister, although I've never waited longer than 45 minutes.
-
I like Johnny Bravo.
-
From what I understand, you can really attribute the new smoothness to a new kind of wheels for the trains. Can't confirm this though. Removing the OSTR's only eliminated the head banging.
-
I wouldn't go as far as saying worst waste of space. I think it is a good intermediate coaster for beginners. Although, that area would be really good for a B&M Flyer. There's lots of terrain that could be utilized.

A lot of people think The Italian Job is a coaster. When I read the description, I thought of an indoor ride.
-
I used to go by this old route through Ohio. Can't remember which way I came in, but the first thing I always saw was the Eiffel Tower from a distance. Now, the new way is quicker and it's just like your suddenly there. I do miss seeing the Eiffel Tower first thing. I knew when I saw the tower, we(my family) were there, and a great day was ahead of me.

How many years will it take to correct the problems? Or, will all problems ever be corrected? I've been thinking the same thing about TTD.
-
What's wrong with Tomb Raider? Reliability.
-
Maybe I should do the same. When you don't expect anything, you tend to get surprised. With the explosion of the internet and fan sites like these, it seems people expect more from their parks than they ever have. And, additions to their parks more frequently.
-
Didn't know it was down. Unless it is something major, it probably won't take long.

Nice Trip Report. I enjoyed being with my neice when she got her first coaster laps in. Anyway, I have found that on SOB, if you ride in the middle row of any car, it is a little smoother. I think it is because you are not sitting directly over the wheels. I put this to the test in June and it seemed to work. I wonder why the Wild Thornberry's was closed?

I can't believe anyone would say FOF or Vortex. Very rough rides. I voted for Rugrats Runaway Reptar. It would have to be the smoothest, I would think. Or Top Gun.
