When I got to the park a little after 1, I had to park the second row from the north end of the lot to get a spot on the end closest to the park. As I walked over, I saw the entire bus/camper lot was filled with cars (and one or two actual buses). Really a lot of people at the park, because the weather was gorgeous. I was there for Cirque, and have been at KI at least a half day every day this week so I ended up not even trying to ride anything. Or get food, for that matter. But I bet it would have been a wonderful day for the free Sunday Fast Lanes for renewing.

Sitting in front of the theater waiting for the last three shows. I'm getting weepy because it's almost over and I'm going to miss all these people, cast and audience alike. As tradition, I did my nails. Each finger represents a performer, except the pinky nail with a heart, for how I feel about them all

I feel awful, when I was talking about which performers have been there the whole season, I left out Levi, the drummer. Other than a day of very flat shows when he was out, he's been there driving the show from the very beginning. I've been enjoying "getting to know" the new Packo. As one young fan is fond of noting: "he's loud!" He has a lot more boisterous personality than the man he replaced. But, it has made it very clear to me how much their looks are defined by the hood and the makeup. Some of the pics I have taken, I wouldn't realize weren't the original performer if I didn't know better. But, when he smiles he looks a fair amount different

If you do, then I do too. I thought the same, and it wasn't until I went looking for what the dates were going to be that I realized Greg might not have been referring to this year. It made the most sense to me that they were trying to influence people to get their season passes early so they would be able to go to Winterfest. Since its not until next winter, there's no real incentive to renew or buy now, at least not because of this announcement.

Well I'm going to be there! No way am I going to skip the last weekend before I can't go to KI for two weeks (yes, I may be a KI junkie). I like that KI occasionally does these kind of things. I'm very happy Friday is included, hopefully it won't be quite as busy as the other three.

I'm a little hazy about whether Winterfest is starting this winter or next. At the announcement it seemed he was talking about this one, but no dates have been announced yet so I'm not sure.

They did the last two days (not Monday), but in the past few weeks it's been about once a week.

I think it may be that we already got our hints for this announcement but we might not recognize them until after hearing what it is.

I still haven't got a good pic of him with his thumbs hooked in his suspenders (he's usually in low light when he does it) but, that's him.

Yes, the replacement was already in town and practicing with them on Monday. Very curious to see the show today! That means that barring anything unexpected this week, "Suspenders" is the only person who has been in the show the entire season. Everyone else is either a replacement of an earlier act and/or performer, or in the case of our juggler and rope walker, were temporarily replaced themselves during the season.

I'll be there tomorrow for the announcement. I was there all day yesterday and Monday and will be doing a half day today. Probably Friday and Saturday and definitely Sunday at least part of the day (last week of Origins). I'm taking as much advantage as I can of this last week of weekday operations.

I think all the rain has been keeping them from trenching/pouring here recently.

I almost never scream on coasters anymore, but during my "shower ride" on Vortex yesterday, I let out a squeal at one point. A friend dropped by the park for a couple hours before work and I ran into him as I was leaving The Beast tour. He mentioned wanting to leave early if it rained, since he was dressed for work. I was hot and sticky from the humidity, so I mentioned I kind of wanted it to rain some to cool off. As we walked up the stairs to Vortex, there were a few tiny drops of rain and he said it looked like I'd get my wish. We pretty much walked on, but by the time we pulled out of the station, and for the rest of the ride, it was like having a hose on us while someone else tossed buckets of water over our heads. Refreshing! I was apologizing to him for it until he left

I had a wonderful day at this event. I'm happy Beast was up by the end of the night and very satisfied with the ERT we received. It was almost magical on the final ride, there was a rainbow in the sky as we crested the first lift hill, and the beautiful sunset as we crested the second. A very special, memorable ride. Obviously, I couldn't get pics of that, but here's a shot afterward of the sunset behind DB as I left. Thanks DonKIPR and the team for putting on such a nice event for us!

Beast is up! No idea where ERT is tonight now.

^^ what's interesting about that is that the upper left part of the "house" is new and unpainted (decorative painting anyway) and the part that says Sorority House looks a little roached. So, I'm not sure it will ultimately still be Sorority House when it's done. I don't know why they would want to decorative paint once it is already assembled tho. I do like how "angry" the new upstairs Windows look tho.

This is new #D-BACK2016 written in stones alongside the lifthill. Makes me think I hadn't just never noticed the one at Vortex, that it is new too. I'm pretty sure the Diamondback one was added sometime today, or I was really distracted during my morning rides. I noticed it immediately when climbing the lifthill of my ride just before closing. Fortunately had just enough time to get back in line and take a pic. It's much clearer from above but obviously I couldn't take a picture while riding.

There's a chance they have changed the theme. Not enough of it is up yet to be definitively Sorority House. But, yeah, probably. A dollhouse would be amazing tho.
