  2. The last two years (2014 and 2015) I really rarely went to Soak City. This year since Tropical Plunge arrived, I decided to spend a day up there with some friends. Once I rode Tropical Plunge, I knew I was going up a couple more times. I had a fun time riding Tropical Plunge a lot over the summer, and it was a great way to spend a day. I really don't have an bad experiences with the park besides the 30 minute wait for Zoom Flume, but I should of known better to not get in that line.
  3. When you're driving around downtown because you have nothing planned at night anymore.
  4. Every time I see an article, Tweet, or whatever that has a date of September 16th. I immediately think of that day, as the day that Mean Streak closed. So earlier today when I was looking up CCI coasters I found Villain that used to be at Geauga Lake. Noticed that the park closed on September 16th. Immediately thought about how strange it was that Mean Streak closed on the same date. I know this is kind of a random thing to post about, but thought I should share.
  5. I had a total of 40 visits to Kings Island this year. It helps that I live fairly close. Also had several visits to Soak City this year with the addition of Tropical Plunge. If anyone needs to find out there number of visits or the just lost track look at the admissions screen when they scan your pass. After the click the button after your face pops up a number pops up. I believe strongly that it's the number of times visited.
  6. I would agree with you. I felt like this year was one of the best in a while, and I really have no complaints/negative moments from this year. I also thought Haunt was busier this year than the last couple of years (which I am glad to see for their business) . I went up a total of 40 times this year, and every single time I enjoyed the visit. I had four favorite moments that I can think about right now (not in any particular order). The first would be experiencing the body slide on Tropical Plunge for the first time. My heart was beating pretty fast (especially stepping onto the slanted clear floor), because that was it my first time ever doing one of those slides. Afterwards, I was so glad I got to experience it. My second favorite memory would be going to the Mystic Timbers announcement. It was my first time ever going to a major announcement for a park (can't wait for Mystic Timbers). Another favorite moment from this year was going to the Kings Island Central meetup for Haunt. It was really fun meeting new people, riding rides (especially the late night ride on The Beast), and going through mazes. Finally, the last memory I can think of right now would be one that just happen...closing day. I don't know why but closing day seems to be one of the most enjoyable days of the year. I always go with my family as a type of tradition the last couple years, and it is a great way to close the season. This was a very fun and enjoyable year, and I have a feeling next year is going to be a great year as well.
  7. I would say deer because I have seen deer around the Kings Island old western town. Which was kind of funny because two young deer were playing around, and one decked the other in a playful manner. Also, the conductor stated, "I'll just stop talking since the deer are getting more attention". Which was true.
  8. Just checking the Mystic Timbers webcam, and it looks like they're working on the top of the lift right now.
  9. ^ I am going to have Fright Lane w/ Skeleton Key for the first time on Saturday as well. You're not the only person who asked if you eat stuff. I've seen a "Ice Scream social" sign up in Sorority House near the front so maybe that is it. Other than that possible one, I am not sure. Being anxious is very common for mazes (and kind of makes it funnier). Even last week when I had the chance to go through the room at Slaughterhouse, and I was a little bit anxious even though I've done all the mazes before.
  10. Had the awesome privilege to go through the Skeleton Key Room at Slaughterhouse. Also had the great opportunity of seeing my friend (Atheris) saying "well done" at the wrong time and to the wrong person...
  11. My first maze at Kings Island was Tombstone Terror-tory (in 2014) when you went on the train and was ambushed. I absolutely liked that feature (except at the time, my heart was beating fast) of the maze. The rest of it was not bad, as long as they had scare actors. Once they removed the train part of the maze, seeing it go was not difficult at all.
  12. ^^ Really like that addition. Also, I feel like they added to KillMart and made it darker.
  13. Spent 15 minutes in Blackout today just going through the first half of it. This group in front of me and my friends went about 1 MPH (slower probably). Until finally I (Leader of the rope thing) got passed them and got out quickly as it was getting hot in there. Just strange being stuck in there for a long time.
  14. Can't wait for haunt tonight.

  15. ^ So what or where is Cemetery Drive?
  16. Two more days! #KIHaunt

  17. Fridays are not as crowded for sure, especially because schools were in session earlier in the day. Plus you have high school football happening ever Friday night. After the first week, Saturdays aren't overwhelmingly packed in my opinion. (Helps spread people out when there are more attractions)
  18. 11 more days until Haunt! Can't wait!

  19. It seems that Mean Streak has seen its final days... Check out @cedarpoint's Tweet: https://twitter.com/cedarpoint/status/760113054738776064?s=09 Doesn't suprise me that they did this. Thoughts and reactions?
  20. Let me offer you some advice. If this BUGS you soo much and is so bad you have to complain and make idiotic posts on this site..... How about you stop posting on this site, and stop going to Kings Island and Cedar Fair parks. The best way to deal with things that bug you is to ignore it, and to move on. (And that includes not starting threads like this)
  21. Don't judge a rollercoaster by an animation. Ride it first and then judge it. Just my input.
  22. This is amazing. I've never been apart of an annoucement like this. I am two rows back from the rolling and I'm just pumped. I also like the resemblance with the cover on the stage being similar or the actual curtain from the SOB annoucement.
  23. Me and my friend went to check the line, there was 20 people. We thought we could ride The Beast and come back and it will be the same. Nope lol. We came back and the line was by the Coca-Cola Freestyle building. I'll take it looking at where the line is now. Super pumped.
  24. That's why I'm probably not doing it again. Next time I'll probably notify a ride op. I just also want to note that I wasn't looking for some aggression from them, I just said it normally. They were still sitting waiting to go up when I said it.
  25. I'm someone who doesn't like to do this type of stuff and this may be my first time ever doing this. Anyway, I was on WindSeeker, well almost, and somebody completely disregarded that they have a seat number and took the seats I had. I decided to not say anything and walk away. When I was walking away this really started bugging me. So I walked back and said, "Thanks for taking our seats." Then walked away while they were yelling remarks that I really don't and shouldn't repeat on this site. Was walking back and saying something a okay thing to do? What are your guys' opinions, and what would you have done (or have done)?
