If it’s not open for opening day that’ll be a big wasted opportunity, I also think not having a first rider event is a shame too considering it’s a good way to give money to charity and also give hardcore fans a first chance at riding

I agree I really hope they have one as I could ride phantom theater all day long!

I doubt very seriously they are going to do a first ride event, I was so hoping they would but at this point I think something like that would’ve already been announced which is a shame because I really enjoyed the Mystic Timbers auction and had a lot of fun at that event

I dread to think, definitely an hour plus on most days, gonna be a hit I feel with children and parents

posted on KI instagram page, confirms that fan reception to the show gave the park the green light to return the long missed phantom theater to it’s rightful place, we in the community should pat our self on the back for this because we made it happen!

I agree I also hope it isn’t too cartoonish as the original theme was “scary” but fun but I hope the new one keeps the scary theme and doesn’t get too cartoonish, hope it’s like the haunted mansion, Also curious how the interactive element will work

Just trying to get the pulse for how excited we all are for the new opening attraction our beloved new phantom theater. Are you A. Super excited and can’t wait B. Excited but cautious, slight worry about how “cheap” it’ll be C. Sorta excited but deep down you know it won’t be as good as Original Phantom D. Neutral/Not excited or even maybe prefer Boo Blasters or Scooby I myself would choose B as while I am extremely excited and I hope that this ride blows me away I am slightly concerned that they will re use too many boo blasters elements or potentially the that new “flashlights” won’t work for long periods of time like the blasters, having said that I believe even a decent Phantom Theater ride is better than Boo Blasters any day of the week! Let me know what you think guys

I think they definitely should bring the bust back that’s a haunted mansion classic staple that works great for Disney and Kings Island in its effect and it’s a cheap effect too

This is the worst time for an anticipated ride opening especially one as exciting as phantom theater returning, the lull period. I’m ready for it to be here, I’m not patient 😂!

I do hope we get a phantom theater holiday overlay that’s properly done, not just decorations but new dialogue and music maybe, I like the new style too and I do think they need to be a little more innocent looking due to the fact that you don’t want children who loved boo blasters to be afraid of this new ride and after all this is a family ride

Two points, I like the look of the cat, he’s modeled very well and I wonder why he has Christmas ornaments around him, maybe a Christmas scene? Also I was right in my guess that the characters would be more light hearted then they used to be, some older fans may not like that but I think it’ll still have scary elements

I doubt it, most we got for boo blasters was Christmas hats on the ghost and Bells around the ride and queue

That’s a nice looking color that I think will look even better under low light, looks like the some color as the balcony box at the old opera theaters which is obviously what they want

I would certainly hope they show an animatronic and ride vehicle but at the very least an animatronic, I am curious what the surprise will be

The red eyes were quite literally just two red lights taped onto the busts head, somewhere I have a good picture of them I’ll look for, I also wish they would’ve been left for SDATHC because the spookiness of that show and the busts would’ve merged fine

To my knowledge, two of them were still intact as of a month ago when boo blasters was still open, and two of them were removed and never reinstalled after they were displayed at the Phantom Theatre play, somebody can correct me if I’m wrong about that, but I believe that is the case

Nothing would “ruin” this ride for me as I’m just excited to have the IP back at the park with phantom but Too many cardboard cutouts and screens would make this subpar, i also really hope they use the original PT soundtrack as that’s a certified banger.

I’m actually mainly just interested in seeing how the flashlights work and how much of the ride will be animatronic based and how much will be screen based

Good question, I actually do not know although I agree that Woodstock Express would also be a good ride to have open but honestly just being at the par for an extra two months is nice

Hopefully this year Adventure Express is open for Winterfest it’s gonna suck not having boo blasters this year, hopefully next year, we’ll get to have a phantom theater Christmas
