I kind of wish The Adventure Express was open as well for Winterfest because I think it would be a pretty nice addition to the lineup and it’s not a very intense roller coaster so I think it can operate most of the time. It’s nice to have The Racer though.

How long do you guys think that Son of Beast station will remain standing considering Wolfpack obviously isn’t going to come back apparently. It’s cool that it still exist but it’s a bit of an eyesore and considering it’s not being used it serves little purpose.

I’d rather have a new ride!

I hope it never runs again and gets torn to the ground, that ride is awful!

I wouldn’t mind boo blaster so much if it worked properly like the animatronics function the way they were supposed to, and the guns function the way they are supposed to not to mention the fact that they don’t even make noise anymore when you fire, take a ride like space ranger spin that’s a ride that is significantly older than ours yet it functions properly because Disney cares for their rides better. even a boo blasters update would be nice just to get the guns working again

I bet they will run boo blasters till it breaks, I don’t mind the blasters but I would like to see a new ride, even peanuts themed or something although I wish phantom theater would return in some way

Honestly I miss Scooby at this point, at least Scooby worked and was a lovable character, we need a new dark ride hell make it two new dark rides enough with coasters for a while

If it doesn’t happen this year, I doubt it will happen ever because this would be the best time to do it in my opinion

Non the less Kings Island needs another high caliber dark ride of its type imo, every park should have a decent dark ride at least one that’s not just shooting at cardboard cutouts

Completely agree that I doubt it’ll come to fruition however it holds a nostalgic place in people’s hearts and was a fairly advanced and groundbreaking ride for a seasonal amusement park, to have a ride such as it at a seasonal park. Be considered anywhere near close to Disney is pretty incredible.

Yeah, I definitely think they should bring it back and some form I kind of figured they would after the phantom theater returns show but at this point I’m not sure and it’s a shame because they have such a good IP and they don’t use it to me is a extremely large waste of opportunity As for the current state of the old animatronics, I would wager that most of them. If not all of them have been removed from the property because as of 2013, they no longer get out the animatronics during Halloween Haunt not to mention the few animatronics that were on display last year at the play, only featured a few characters, and none of them were in their complete form, and the maestros partial head mold was in there the first year, but it was gone as of last year, so these things seem to become very easily either stolen or lost

No not really, all the slow rides should allow you to film and obviously the coaster should only let you if the camera is sercured but that’s just my opinion

It’s funny how they say it’s for safety reasons but I’ve recorded countless POVs on the Haunted Mansion at WDW and they do not care, I really just don’t think they want you to at Kings Island.

Nice to see The Racer getting love again, hope they continue to give love to old rides.

Don’t know if any of y’all vacation in the Myrtle Beach area but if you do there was fun small water park there called Wild Water N Wheels that unfortunately has closed its doors for good and is in the process of deconstruction, I loved that park as a kid and am sad to see it go and wonder of any of you have been here too.

Interesting to note that this year in the Phantom Theater Encore lobby the display of props with the great Houdilinis head and Shakespeare actor is missing the Maestros head that was in the bottom part of the case, also Houdilinis eyes are silently different from last year. I wonder what happened to Maestros head? this year last year

I really enjoy the Tropical Plunge slide where the floor drops below you feet and you plunge down, I also enjoy the Mondo Monsoon family tube ride where you plunge down into a giant funnel. I also enjoy the lazy river and wave pool and there is lots of smaller slides along the way but one thing I’d recommend is don’t overpack just bring a change of clothes and maybe a towel as you’ll have to get a locker to stow your things. The water park closes at 7 so you still will have three hours at the main park should you choose.

I’ve been fortunate enough to take a Disney World vacation these past few years and luckily this year I was able to go again. First day we visited Hollywood studios and I gained a new coaster credit in Slinky Dog Dash. We rode Star Wars rise of the Resistance which is by far the most detailed and well themed ride I’ve ever been on, a must for Star Wars lovers! It combines a classic dark ride with a modern twist and really is beautifully done. Slinky Dog Dash was fun, had some decent airtime and goes decently fast, also got to ride Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway which is a trackless dark ride and quite fun too, although I’m not too big into Mickey. Second day was Magic Kingdom which is by far my favorite park, got some good views of Tron Lightcycle run which looks to be an epic coaster that is already open for cast preview and we were able to see it up close and personal from the Peoplemover, Pirates of the Carribean, Haunted Mansion, and Space Mountain are my favorites so I had to ride them a lot, also got a ride on the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Big Thunder Mountain which I like to refer to as Adventure Express South as it reminds me so much of Adventure. Didn’t get to ride Splash Mountain as it’s being redone right now for next year but overall got to ride all I wanted. Last day was Epcot, only had a half day here and didn’t get to ride much but got to ride a few of my favorites such as Journey into Imagination with Figment and Spaceship Earth which is slow and boring but I love it. I rode Mission Space in the early afternoon right before I was supposed to ride the new Guardians of the Galaxy coaster, which I was pumped to ride, for those of you who don’t know Mission Space is a very intense space shuttle simulator/motion simulator attraction that puts you in control of a rocket ship whilst you fly your way to Mars, long story short this ride kicked my butt more then any coaster ever has as I got off sick as a dog. I then got in line for Guardians coaster and got through the whole pre show and got to the boarding area before doing something I’ve never done, wimping out due to a throbbing headache and nausea like you wouldn’t believe. I wasn’t able to ride it and that was the lone disappoint of an overall amazing trip!

I certainly hope they bring back Phantom Theater encore as it made me and many others genuinely emotional seeing all that old stuff and hearing the music again, but I sincerely think that in the next few years, a new dark ride will come, not sure if it’ll be Phantom or not, but the park is aware of the popularity of the ride and I hope they see that it’ll be sure to be a hit. They need to breathe some life back into the Boo Blasters building.
