Which CF Park had the best decade?
KIghostguy replied to SonofBaconator's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
None. Look in Banshee's queue sometime. Son of Beast is dead and buried. -
New food item at Kings Island (this one is on the meal plan!)
KIghostguy replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
I had the sandwich on Friday. I thought it was good, but the flavor of the bun overwhelmed the chicken. It tasted like eating a thick slice of the Texas toast with a crunchy middle (and this was even with the house sauce on it). I think it’s worth trying once, but next time I’m at the Chicken Shack, I’m going back to the usual chicken tender meal. -

Sorry, I haven’t heard anything more from the publisher. Hopefully there will be news soon! -
And Coney Mall needs the ragtime music back as well.

It’s a great piece and it fit really well with the Royal Fountain!

I really don’t like it at all. Last year’s loop was so much better. It was way more grandiose! It was so nice to hear those great movie scores and classical pieces playing all day while I worked at Emporium. The new one feels a lot cheaper, like something you’d hear in a “fancy” WalMart. I was up at Cedar Point a few weeks ago and when they started playing The Cowboys Overture in FrontierTown, it was very moving. That’s the one I miss hearing the most while I work. John Williams will always be superior over covers of Sia! If it was a perfect world, they would put back the loop from 2017. It had Rhapsody in Blue, Aquarium by Camille Saint-Saens, and a few others that were dropped from the loop used from 2018-2019.

Just further back into the woods. I’m sure they could cut down some trees straight back and make a clearing.
-
Yeah, I’m surprised they didn’t move the launch pad further back.

Glad I passed the test! No, but there are snippets of the source audio here, here, and here. They released a longer section of the Mystic Timbers score on YouTube a few months after that ride opened, so I imagine they'll release a longer section of Orion in the near-future.

It’s an original soundtrack composed by IMAScore.

Discussing Land and Space in and around Vortex
KIghostguy replied to Klabergian Empire's topic in Kings Island
I really don't think the rattle has anything to do with soil. Valravn's rattle is pretty terrible, and Cedar Point's soil is definitely not like Kings Island's. -
Probably to increase the viewership numbers for the blog.

Why do they always put that grey filter over 4K coaster videos? Both these Kings Island ones and ones on other channels. Is it a camera issue?

I haven’t been to the Chicken Shack this year. Sorry I can’t answer that! I think last year it was free. -
That makes me very sad, I don’t think it was running most/all(?) of last year at all. I found it very ironic that for a season that was all about bringing back nostalgia and Taft Broadcasting’s Kings Island, they turned off and/or left to rot the most nostalgic thing in the park—a literal piece of Taft’s Kings Island.

They do have their own knockoff Cane’s sauce. It’s quite tasty, but I think you have to specifically ask for it. -

Was the patty seasoned/fried in the same way the Chicken Shack tenders are? -
Or maybe just read the signs that are already there? Both ride signs are right above their respective entrances.

I’m Writing the First KI History Book!
KIghostguy replied to KIghostguy's topic in Kings Island History
I interviewed multiple people at both the park and corporate levels and they have been very supportive of the book. But the merchandise director has the final say, and although he said he was interested, I haven't heard back from him since January. -

I’d love to do a book signing, but it’s a little difficult to arrange one given that I’m not sure at the moment if it will even be sold at the park. -
They’re on the side facing out toward the Area 72 entrance. The stand was installed within the past week.

Not sure where else to place this...unfortunately, Jane Cooper’s initials on the side of Flight of Fear are now covered up by an unthemed Bud Light stand. Makes me very sad!

My hope is yes. But unfortunately, the park’s merchandise director has not been very responsive. -
Do walk-through attractions do anything for you?

I’ve always wanted to see a funhouse inside the KillMart building. -
