  1. I'll eat my words if I'm wrong, but I haven't heard anything reputable that would make me think otherwise.
  2. As of December 9, the plan was for a themed food stand in that location. That looks like a food stand to me, especially in the drone video from a few days ago.
  3. Plus Coney Confections is now a yellowish color.
  4. It’s a food stand, unfortunately. It’s used for Field of Screams during Haunt.
  5. I watched three altogether, then had to leave to go to a doctor’s appointment. They probably tested more. I just looked out the window and lo and behold, a train was going up the lift!
  6. I couldn’t tell. There was about a five minute gap between the two cycles.
  7. They are testing today. I just saw two cycles from my house.
  8. More news: https://kdfans.com/2020/kings-dominion-2021-roller-coaster-rumors-will-send-enthusiasts-into-a-spin/
  9. Thanks! I hope you enjoy it. I’m looking forward to watching your documentary in 2022!
  10. I have permission from the copyright holders of every photo included in the book.
  11. Not yet. It will be available on Amazon for certain. I'm waiting to hear back from Kings Island's merchandise director on whether or not it will be sold in the park.
  12. I've sent the final manuscript into the publisher! There is a possibility that the book will be coming out in April instead of May.
  13. I think the music on the testing video is stock music.
  14. You are correct. There are lots of interesting things in that video. I knew the games booths down the middle of Coney Mall were going to be repainted, but it’s interesting that almost all the other Coney Mall buildings are being repainted as well.
  15. This is the largest investment in the park's history and people have a right to be interested in seeing it test. Nobody is being TMZ, nobody is trespassing in the park. Again, it's such a massive ride, it's impossible to miss seeing it testing.
  16. If the park was so concerned about people videoing testing, maybe they should have thought twice before signing off on a 300-foot coaster. That they built such a highly visible ride, then expect us to just look away when it starts testing again, is one of the most ridiculous things I’ve heard in a while.
  17. Shake, Rattle and Roll is considered Rivertown in the Rides department, but thematically it’s always been Coney Mall. Just like how the Eiffel Tower is on International Street, but Rides groups it into Planet Snoopy.
  18. Some more details. Looks like a smaller ride replacing The Crypt with the Volcano pad not utilized. https://kdfans.com/2020/future-ride-on-crypt-site/
  19. Tim Fisher was general manager when Son of Beast was built, but it was Al Weber that greenlit the ride in the first place. The decision to remove Vortex was more of the ride reaching the end of its lifespan than it was an attempt to modernize the park.
  20. There’s no doubt that Adventure Village needed a heavy facelift, but Paramount Action Zone was so, so ugly. Especially so in its later years with an abandoned Son of Beast, a water tower with no purpose, and all the faded and peeling paint, which were ugly colors to begin with. No shade, no landscaping, absolutely nothing distinctive about the area at all other than being an eyesore. I guess you could say it was a return to the 1994-1998 days for that area!
  21. Thanks so much for having me on! I really enjoyed sharing more news about this exciting project.
  22. Thanks for sharing your memories—it was a horrible evening at the park. For all those coming to this thread because of the bump, disregard just about every post before this and read this instead: http://kingsislandghosts.blogspot.com/2018/04/the-truth-behind-tower-johnny.html?m=1
