KICentral Event Survey

Please leave us as much feedback as possible if you attended the event. What did you like? What didn't you like? Was there anything we could do to improve the event? Were there any activities you wish we could have done but didn't put on the agenda? Did you find the ticket ordering system to be user-friendly? How did the KICentral event compare to other events you may have attended?

Any information you can provide will be greatly appreciated for future planning.

Thanks so much,

Ryan

That is true. The value was unbelievable for all we got to do. Even better deal for the season pass holders. I shouldn't complain about dinner, but that was my story and I'm sticking to it. Now if you all don't mind, I've been up for 21 hours, and I'm going to bed. Congrats to those of you who made it 36+ hours like I know some of you did.

For the price that we paid you are not getting prime rib!! I think we got great bang for the buck!! I am sure our fees paid for not only the meal but the materials used to make our day much easier. Don't know about others but I sure liked walking around the park with a VIP pass and watching people thinking I was someone important to have a VIP pass and going into areas that they know they are not allowed in!!

Did anyone happen to notice our meal tickets??? There is a discounted coupon so that you can come back at a reduced rate or bring a friend for a nice discount. Basically I would think our "event" was honestly free if that discount is used.

I enjoyed the whole thing...I was disappointed with sob tour being cancelled, but no huge deal. The only issue I had was with hearing the announcements-the only time I heard well was in the theatre. But the food was fine, and I had never been up to the restaurant, so pics from up there was a big deal. Can't wait to let my dad see it..plus he will get a kick out of the machinery on beast. If we do this again next year and he is well enough, I would like to bring him to see that part of it.

The best part of the KIC event was not the tours or the rides or the scavenger hunt, but the people. I just want to say that you are all special and I hope I get to hook of with you again.

Let's give a big hand to Josh, Ryan and Don for their hard work in making it happen.

I totally agree. But since that wasn't a choice I went with The Beast tour. I thought we would just walk through and snap some pictures but I was very excited that we got to stay at each spot for several train passes. I didn't want to leave. It was a lot of fun. I was also a little disappointed that the SoB tour was canceled but the scavenger hunt kept everyone busy and was very fun. It was a great deal and a great time.

I couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable day, except for the heat but you can't do anything about that. The only thing that would have made it more enjoyable is to have someone explain what we were seeing on some of the back stage tours. In other words on the FOF tour it would have been cool to have someone explain how FOF worked, any insight into the daily ops of the ride etc. On The Beast tour it might have been neat to have someone from maintenance explain how the inspect the ride every day what they look for how the ride automation works etc. I know most of us know the answers to these questions but it's always nice to hear stories from the people that work on the rides.

My brother and I had a great time yesterday! I enjoyed the Q & A the best because everyone asked great questions and plus it was so comfortable in there. Eventhough we weren't able to do the last two events all the other events were great!

I thought the ticket ordering process was a little confusing (basically because of that "supplied password" page).

If there is another KICenteral Event, I think it would be awesome to go through the maintenance shops.

I agree, it would be awesome to see some of the parts for the rides. Do they have a centralized parts warehouse somewhere on site or is it spread all over? I noticed lots of parts in the FOF bowl.

My daughter and I wanted to say thanks to everyone who was involved with planning such a fun day. We a really good time and we were sorry that we had to leave right after dinner. We would have loved the ERT on The Beast, but had to get home early.

Thanks again to everyone. Is was cool getting to meet all of you and we hope to see you again soon. BTW, if anyone knows all the answers to the scavenger hunt we would love to know what they are!

Thanks again,

Mark & Mara

I agree 100%. In fact, we weren't sure if someone was going to speak or not at the tours, but it definitely would have added a lot. If we do this again (an yes, it looks like we probably will) then we'll make sure that we have a host for any tour we may do.

The only issue I had was with hearing the announcements-the only time I heard well was in the theatre.

Sorry -- we were having technical difficulties with Mr. Mike so switching between yelling and being amplified threw in a curve ball. I was made aware of this and we'll make sure we're good on that front on the future.

Karen, didn't you say that was your grand daughter that was asking all of the questions at Endless Summer? Adorable! The cast just ate her up. I didn't want to have cut her off, but I had Don nudging me from one side saying that we needed to get to The Beast and Scott nudging me from the other saying that I should let them go as long as they wanted. Wasn't the show just great??

I too was disappointed about the SoB tour, I was REALLY looking forward to it. (I wonder if maybe they changed their minds about us seeing it, because of it being open at 12ish... we saw it running)

It would have been cool to see another train run on FoF... I just wonder what happened to it to make the delay (it opened right after the park, they let riders in while we were in line for Firehawk).

My hubby did have a complaint. He felt like we did not get to see as much as we could have in the time we had. He would have also liked to have been able to get rides on everything- ahead of other riders. I know that's not fair, and not possible, and I'm just relaying what he said to me about the event. He was also disappointed with the lag between the sign shop and the Ice Show... we were simply too hot for the scavenger hunt.

I think in the future maybe a different month would be better to have the event. August is notoriously hot, and proved so yesterday. I think April or late May would be better for heat tolerance.

One last thing... Can someone post the answers to the Scavenger Hunt? Even though we did not complete it and turn it in we did have guesses for nearly everything, like to see if we were correct.

Thanks again to you guys for an excellent day!

The FoF train launch is something that's entirely up to maintanance. They have to do all of their checks and make sure the ride is fully operational and ready to go ESPECIALLY with people inside. Up until we let everyone know it was going to happen, we were under the understanding that a train launch wasn't going to happen, but fortunately Don specifically asked for it. That's the thing about these events, we'd love to have everything down to the perfect second but there are always a bunch of swerves.

The SOB thing was bitter sweet. A lot of people enjoyed the scavanger hunt, but I do agree that it was kind of hot to be running around the park like that. The reason for the delay was that the Son of Beast tour was supposed to happen at 12:30, which obviously didn't go as planned. The nice part is, at least you had the option of finding some air conditioning. Actually, the staff went to check out an earlier showing of Endless Summer in the interval. The SOB walk is a long, hot one, so having a little bit of free time instead probably wasn't the worst thing in the world for most people.

My hubby did have a complaint. He felt like we did not get to see as much as we could have in the time we had.

We will BY ALL MEANS have the next event be a community planning effort. If you have any suggestions about additional tours you would live to have seen, make sure you let us know. We're always looking for more ideas.

I do agree that having the event in August didn't really pan out perfectly. We'll look at different options in the future.

I don't have the scavanger hunt answers. I just graded the darmn things. If anyone can help deb out on that, we'd appreciate it.

Thanks for your feedback!

Ryan

And one more thing, Ryan... if/when there is another VIP day and we have lanyards... remember, it's "deb" not "Deb". It's all good!

And on a side note... did you have 40 lbs of sweat on your shirt? I have NO idea how you weren't that drenched in sweat (I saw your collar at IR) after the FoF tour. I was already sweating then, and I generally DON'T sweat. whew it was HOT!

Dane and I both figured that if people were going to drive long and far and pay money to come to our event, the least we can do is be professional about it. It certainly was hot out there, but I think we both mentally prepared ourselves for it.

I realize that capitalization was off on some of the lanyards. That was all Word. I had a cell matrix set up and it kept thinking that every time I put in a username, it was the start of a new sentence. I'll turn that feature off right off The Bat next time.

OH OH OH!!! Can I be the tour guide for Beast? And FoF while we're at it?

And KIC: The Event: The video is currently being edited. Look for part 1 to show up some time in the near future.

I want to thank everyone involved in making this happen. My mother and I had a great time, meeting everyone we did. We also really enjoyed The Beast tour the most. And I personally liked watching the promotional videos. And your right the state that Americana is in is very depressing, I remember going there as a kid and really enjoying myself. Thanks again. I hope to meet up with people that I've met in the future at the park. Oh and I took loads of pictures that I'll try and get online as soon as possible.

As for suggestions, the only one I would have would be to maybe have a Q and A history lesson of the park. Kind of like the promotional videos thing. I know most know the history but I still find it cool to see all those old items from when I was a kid and some before I was even thought of.
