Ha ha. That's even funnier considering there's a running joke with my roommate and I that at the end of a KI day, we throw the kids in the fountain for the swamp monster to eat. We've pulled it on every kid we've taken so far this year (seven?) and the kids going this weekend (another three or four.)

(Wow, I've done KI with lots of random kids this year. LOL.)

So maybe they'll just have to meet the swamp monster a little sooner! Ha! :)

There needs to be a change in the calendar to the Park. September is the best month for weather, the driest and less humidity than any other month during the open season.

And before you say, KI needs to close or shorten operating hours due to the young employees going back to school. I think the Park would do better with more mature operators and employees myself.

It is also a bummer that Boomerang Bay closes Labor day weekend too.

Yea I am assuming they pay to rent it out. Ticket sales and parking sales plus food. I have been on P&G day and its just as crowded as any other day. If you have more mature empoyees that means you got to have the more money to pay them. If your say 20 years old like me it wouldn't be worth my time to go in for anything less than $11 an hour. Of couse with that you can give them more respobility and tighter secutriy with the loose arctiles and probaly a faster dispatch time which leads to a safer park and in most cases happier guest. However the thing is when your going to try and higher older employess there really seems to be not much oppertiny for advancement in the field of ride operator (please correct me if I am wrong) so higher starting pay would be a must. Plus being only a seasonal job it probaly has a higher turnover rate which means someone is likely getting trained at all times and also would be a nussaince if you were trying to support your family on a seasonal job. There is many things to overcome when you say they need to have more mature workers.

There is plenty of room for advancement for a ride op. How do you think KI gets there Area Managers for rides. Also the Full Time Managers, they all had to start out somewhere.

Ride Operator > Ride Supervisor > Rides Area Manager > then I would guess, that a Rides Area Manager could be promoted to a full time Rides Manager.
