JacksonPKI
You should have seen the amazement on my face when I learned that Face/Off was a movie. Which is why CF won't change Congo's name. Maybe it's because it's life is short in somethig else's shadow,..

RingMaster
I'm surprised he didn't know Face/Off was a movie seeing as how there was a big frickin poster of the movie on the side of the Paramount Theater facing the ride.
coaster_junky
so why didn't they change the names of drop zone and congo?
KIBeast
The only reason I can guess as to why they didnt rename congo falls is because 1. they are planning on taking it out in the years to come, or 2. well i dont know a 2 but yah thats the only reason I can come to why they wouldnt change the name.. Maybe because Congo Falls doesn't directly refer to the movie Congo. Congo is not only a movie, but it's a place! Most people do not realize that Congo was a movie. same with drop zone. i didn't know that was a paramount movie until it was pointed out to me in an earlier forum Don't waste your money on that one. It stars Gary Busey and Wesley Snipes (which I like most movies he's in), but it stinks.

No, I was 8 when I rode it. I'm surprised he didn't know Face/Off was a movie seeing as how there was a big frickin poster of the movie on the side of the Paramount Theater facing the ride. I thought it was just an advertisement for the ride.

KIBeast
I would say it is advertisement could be for both ride and movie. People may ride F/O, see the poster and think, maybe they'll rent it some time. It did have two huge actors in it after all.
