Cory Butcher Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 Great Pictures Dane! I am going to the Columbus Zoo this week or next, this just makes me wish I was there today! Quote
Avatar Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 Dane you have always taken great pictures but I think this is the best I have seen this far, Impressive! Quote
italianchef Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 We will have to visit the Cincinnati Zoo before our membershio expires in June. We won't renew it this year because I am a temp and uncertain when I'll be a permanent employee again. Besides, Little Chef way prefers Kings Island as do I. And with season passes to KI and the Musuem Center, do we really need a third membership? Quote
iChase Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 I was impressed at the water dropping from the polar bear's mouth in the second picture. Don't know if anyone else caught that. Quote
KI-ORIG-EMP Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 Does the pictures of those "kitty cats" make you just want to go up and hug and pet them? Mike Quote
BoddaH1994 Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 Does the pictures of those "kitty cats" make you just want to go up and hug and pet them? Mike You know what? It doesn't.... it really doesn't. Quote
Browntggrr Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 Does the pictures of those "kitty cats" make you just want to go up and hug and pet them? Mike Those "kitty cats" don't necessarily purr and meow. 3 guys in San Francisco tried to hug and pet a "kitty cat" like one of those in the pics. The result was not exactly what they expected. Quote
Jamesv7 Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 Thank you Dane those pics make me realize I need to get back to Cincinnati Zoo Quote

Actually they can "purr". It's not noticeable cause it's a pretty deep rapsy like sound. But I have heard them myself thanks to a tiger in a exotic animal rescue in Florida my cousin volunteers at. Cheetah's can also chirp, which I always found cute/funny. I have pet bobcats and I have heard them purr before as well. Great pics Dane! My fave has to be the polar bear Quote

Is that what we're calling tormenting and abusing the animals? Quote
WooferBearATL Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 No, it's what we call a joke. I think the Big Cats called it lunch. Quote
The Interpreter Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 Unfortunately for the California Big Cat involved...it was more The Last Supper. Sigh. Quote
