BoddaH1994
What do you think of the name Diamondback? Personally, I like the name more and more. I would have thought it was just a clean-cut or healthy name but I must admit that seeing the logo kind of pushes me over the edge to really liking it. I think the western theme will really work out well for it.
kjkjkj
I think it's awesome! It really fits in with rivertown, and keeps within the theming (mostly pretty much). So I can't wait for '09!!!
Ashers
I love it! It's a lot better than some of the ideas that were floating around here And I love LOVE the skull logo! ~Ash
corn4ahead
I love the name and I couldnt have asked for a better logo...however it really bugs me that theres already another coaster called Diamondback at frontier city
markalan
I love the name, and really love the logo. And don't worry about the other "Diamond Back". I don't think there will ever be any confusion over the two.
KIBeast
Not to mention there are several re-used names within the CF chain and SF chain.
welchce
I love it! It's a lot better than some of the ideas that were floating around here And I love LOVE the skull logo! ~Ash Yeah, definitely better than anything dealing with Walmart or any type of relative to The Beast. Skull on Fire + Snake = crazy delicious
tigellinus
I also love the name!! I think it's more colorful and interesting than Mustang would have been, and it rolls off the tongue pretty well for a 3 syllable word, which is important and not always easy!! Also, it can be easily abbreviated as "D-back" or fairly well initialed as "DB", and the artwork has been out of this world!! On the one hand, I kind of wish it didn't share the name of the MLB team in Arizona, but on the other hand, the baseball team has helped to bring some public recognition to the word so people are more familiar with it, have heard it before, and know what it is.... So there's some free marketing analysis for KI!!
Cormaster
I put ok. Not that I have a problem with the name at all, but it is just that, a name. I really don't know what it would take to be an "awesome" name, so I voted 3 its ok. I don't hate it, but its not awesome by any means. Now the ride itself, thats pretty awesome, but whats in a name anyway? Put it this way: Its better than the renamed paramount rides, but still not "awesome". Its one that will grow on you and eventually roll off your tounge.

I still plan on getting one someday. I think the name is cool; however, is not unique like Maverick or Behemoth. Still is a cool name though. The Interpreter
From what I see so far, I'd ride this thing gladly even if it were named: The Purple Poinsettia Lazy Susie Drooling Daisy Rivertown New Sensation The Big Meow
Monroe
^How about Mustang or Crazy Horse? (Oh wait....Dead horse....beat.)
CoastersNSich
Not to mention there are several re-used names within the CF chain and SF chain. Careful... you may eventually see Diamondhawk and Flightback, as well as Skyback, Diamondfront and so on...

Cormaster
Yeah I probably did put too much thinking into it, but honestly I do like it. I guess my point is its not a bad name, not by anymeans. Its not "flight Deck". It fits the coaster pretty well, and looks cool with the Diamondback snake logo. Just don't think its awesome, lol. cstrwomann
I like the name Diamondback. I like the logo of the snake with the track. Are they using this logo or the one with the skull?
Justin_M17
Personally I couldn't care less what the coaster is called, All I care about is when I'm going to get my chance to ride it
CedarPointer
It's better than Drop Tower. And worlds (of fun!) better than Prowler.
gnarkiller
I think its an ok name but i think they should of made it a little bit more relevant to River Town's mining town theme.
tigellinus
^^Didn't you get the memo?? Rivertown has a Western theme!! At least according to a certain company that puts exclamation points ! at the end of things!
C_Smith
Now I hate the name but like the logo (skull one only) other than that I probably will like the ride itself. oh and I hate the look of the trains. Sorry... Chris
Thrill_Biscuit
Ironically, Rivertown used to have a place where you could get Cincinnati Reds' memorabilia. Now there's a red hypercoaster in that area who will share its name with a team from Arizona. "Big Red Machine" would have been kinda ...nostalgic.
Rollercoast19
I was thinking "Big Red Machine" a couple of days after the announcement. I also thought they could have some of the Big Red Machine open the ride!
Beast1979
This is going to be one Big Red Machine, that's for sure, but to compare this ride to them would be kinda....wierd.
ClevelandRocks10
I voted for 5 because personally, I love the name! It just seems to fit the ride so well and it's probably one of my favorite rollercoaster names out there.
Thrill_Biscuit
^^Why would it be so weird? We're comparing an enormous, 230', chiefly vertical hypercoaster to a relatively small, poisonous snake that sidewinds and eats prairie dogs. I like the scientific name Crotalus atrox, which would be too much of a mouthful for a coaster name.
DropZone99
^^Didn't you get the memo?? Rivertown has a Western theme!! At least according to a certain company that puts exclamation points ! at the end of things! Rivertown isn't Western themed. It's supposed to be a small Mining Town in the Ohio River Valley. I do like the name Diamondback, but you never see Diamondback's in Ohio (besides zoo's & ect...)
FOFreak
Really, I like the name! Sounded kind of generic at first, but I've grown to like it. Not love it, but like it. I love the logo! Although I don't like the style of trains, I do like the view it will give. I personaly think the 4-seat rows look cooler.
The Interpreter
As for the trains, ride both kinds...then decide.
