tigellinus
Drop or Ascent? Why does it matter about them? I speculated that DB would rise at 45degrees and its only 40. Still a very steep lift when you consider MF is 45. Ascent, I already know drop.
RailRider
Nitro is around a 30 degree lift hill and Behemoth is around 35 degrees...
tigellinus
^^Really?? Ok, that's what I was wondering since it did seem like D-back's lift was steeper than those two...interesting, indeed!! Thanks..

BoddaH1994
I'd say it's a good possibility. The D-Back updates roll in quickly and there's plenty to discuss.
Beast1979
So I wonder if we will have the tallest support in the ride to look at on Friday, I thought so earlier but they really aren't chugging away like they were several weeks ago.

RailRider
So I wonder if we will have the tallest support in the ride to look at on Friday, I thought so earlier but they really aren't chugging away like they were several weeks ago. Just because you do not see great progress through the webcam dont assume there is not great progress being made. After all there is much prep work and detailed work that needs and is being done currently. The station is a great example of this work, the various electrical hook ups, conduit to bury, concrete to pour and numerous lines to run. Not all progress is meassured by track erection, after all the erection of a coaster is probably 10% to 15% of the total work that goes in to developing and building a major coaster. flightoffear1996
Yes, there are lots of supports up by the hammer head area. Those are hard to get on the camera though.

StalkerChick
It's okay...it was a mere footer to your brilliant post, which was otherwise on sound footing! Terpy, who's been known to go round in circles! Terpy makes my head hurt... OK, is the so called "hammerhead" actually a hammerhead or just an overbank turn? In my opinion it's neither, but it's alot more like a hammerhead turn.. http://rcdb.com/ig594.htm?picture=10 That is what an overbanked turn is in my opinion. It's neither! its the Tickle Giggle Turn!

Jasper
I would love to see the black hat give us some hammerhead pictures. Wink wink.
CoastersRZ
Well, I can`t pull anything out of the black hat. However, I can offer the below image, which I took aboard the KI&MV Railroad on Sunday of the "hammerhead" turn area for Diamondback.
Cory Butcher
I want to take a bet, how many times will we have typed the word coaster "erection" by the time this thread is closed?
BoddaH1994
I would love to see the black hat give us some hammerhead pictures. Wink wink. Although the Black Hat can sometimes gather information from the future, it can't pull pictures from the future. It just doesn't work that way. Once that hammerhead is built, or erected as Cory likes to say, I'm sure Don Helbig will send us photos. The Black Hat is in the business of stealing secrets from the rich and reselling them to the poor... for a reasonable price. Not taking photos. The Interpreter
The Black Hat doesn't steal anything....except perhaps the thunder of other web sites! Terpy, who took a picture once (what was it? 1963?)
Beast1979
So what DO they do on days like these where no noticable vertical construction goes on?
UnrealNightmare
If you watch the web cam you can see them in a scaffold sort of thing being held up by the crane. They must be working on something to do with the last peice of track that went up.
Beast1979
I saw a flat bed pull up behind the Crypt, it's gotta have something on it because whatever it is reflects the sun real well.
