Oh, my. I can hear it now. Noise complaints. I hope not, but I can just hear them coming...even though these people bought beside Kings Island..."I never thought they'd put a ride there!"

I'm looking forward to seeing DB in the flesh. I see these pictures, but I really can't wrap my mind around it. It makes Vortex look like a kiddie coaster, and I've always considered it "big".

Hah. I wouldn't complain if I lived there. That's the joy of living near an amusement park, IMO. The noise of riders and the roar of a coaster passing by.

That last one if from some neighborhood behind the park. Thought I was going to get a better angle, but I did not.

i wish i owned that house in that picture.

I will let someone else here tell you what stops the Camden Park Haunted House cars...

Took this photograph during a GREAT trip to Camden Park last Spring, if you haven't been to Camden, you should go:

I'd like to see him try and stop my car. He would have needed to have eaten his Wheaties that day, I tell ya.

I don't know Kawana, he was able to stop mine. Great photos of Diamondback btw! Thank you for sharing!

By the time the leaves come onto those trees, Diamondback will be all but obscured from that photo with the house in it. And yes those houses were likely built in the 1990s, so they really have no right to complain about noise.

I would love to own that house for more than just that it is beside the park, it looks like a nice upscale home as well. Diamondback looks so intimidating from that perspective as well.

Speaking of cameras, is there going to be an on ride photo on Diamondback?

I thought I remember reading something about them having one. I am sure they will this will now be one of there flagship coasters at the park. I guess the real question is where will they have it? I would love for it to be at the splash down area of the ride :)

If it was me, I'd be so distracted by the roar of the coaster and the screams of the thrilled riders, that after a few minutes I'd put my chores off until later (whenever that may be), and spend the rest of the day at the park. My house would NEVER be well kept if I lived next to an amusement park!

All the houses in that neighborhood were like that. Very nice indeed. I'm sure I didn't look suspicious at all with my camera.

Amazing Pictures. This ride is dominant over KI now, I can't wait to see it up close.

Can I use that as my excuse for my house being unkempt? I don't live right next to it, but one exit south on 71... I think that's close enough to apply!

WOOHOO! 600th post!

 I for one would never be home enough to mess anything up!

^Congrats on 600 XGatorhead!

I wouldn't think the sound from the new coaster would be that bad. B&M's have a distinct sound they make that is kind of like a woosh more than typical loud coaster roar.

They will indeed have one. The ride rep told me on the announcement day. :D

How difficult do you think it is for the people living in that house or around that area to sneak onto Kings Islands property?

You might have a chance in the off season. :)

Except for the fact that in addition to a fence along the property line, I`m sure that Kings Island has security patrolling the park year round, and 24/7 to make sure no intruders enter the park.

If they live in those houses they don't have a need to sneak in but I would think they would have to go threw a few barbed wire fences in the woods at least.

Beast1979, I believe that they may now be installing the final roof (or at least preparing to install) for the Diamondback station.

^ Looks as though the first helix is just about done. Nothing but the MCBR, second helix and the last piece before the final brake run to finish.

Speaking of which, there's obviously more to finish, but seeing as how the webcam offered something new just about every day with track/support placement I'm curious to see what the webcam will have in store once the track is complete.

I have seen some security people in black uniforms at the nearby McDonalds early in the morning, with muddy boots, etc., apparently coming off the night shift. Not sure if they are for KI, but whoever they are, they sure look ready to keep high-value resources well protected!

Landscaping, queue work, midway work, Splashdown work, oh yeah, adding trains to the track and testing!?! It might not be like Dec or Jan action, but stuff will still be going on, "and how" as Terpy would probably end with! ;)

Looks like they should finsh the track by next week. I think Behmoth was testing in March so I wonder if Diamondback will be the same.
