Due to the sudden demand for a KICentral.com T-Shirt and the overwhelming amount of "unofficial" ones we saw yesterday. We are going to have a contest to design our newest KICentral.com T-Shirt.

How it works.

1. Design a t-shirt that advertises KICentral.com. Designs can be for the front, back, or both of a tshirt.

2. Submit your design to Dane @ KICentral.com (Remember to submit the ARTWORK for the tshirt. Not your artwork superimposed on a T-Shirt)

3. The best designs will be posted anonymously to be voted on by registered KICentral users.

4. The winning T-Shirt design will be announced and available for sale on KICentrals store.

The design should be made in 300dpi and able to be submitted in png format. The bigger the better for a quality finished product. Submissions should have your real name, your KIC screen name, and your image(s) in their largest format.

Whats in it for me?

The designer of the best design as voted will receive $150 dollars and a free t-shirt of their design.

Deadlines

Designs due in mailbox by Saturday night April 25th at midnight.

Voting begins on Sunday April 26th.

Voting ends on Monday at Noon

T-Shirt will go on sale shortly after that.

Question: Why such a short span of time?

We have to do this in such a short span of time in order for people to have enough time to get their shirts in time for Ride Warriors weekend beginning May 9th and not have to choose a accelerated shipping option. Cafepress says 9 business days for the cheapest shipping from clicking the order button to your doorstep. Althow standard S&H says 4-6 days for 2 dollars more.

Legal.

All submitted artwork becomes property of KICentral for use on anything we deem appropriate both for profit and non profit.

Artwork in the design MUST be all original of the artist. Exception: Designers are allowed to use any photos from the KICentral.com photo gallery or their own to use in their design.

KICentral reserves the right to modify this contest at any time w/o notification.

KICentral reserves the right to modify the winning design as we deem fit for business and merchandise reasons.

Your design should not duplicate, without permission, any trademarks belonging to Cedar Fair

I'm not going to be submitting a design because i'm just not into that kind of stuff, but I will definitely be buying one of the finished products! I just hope that we can order them with our usernames on them. As Popwar said, that was the whole point of the "unofficial" shirts.

but will usernames be available on the ''official'' KICentral T-Shirts? that was the reason for homemade ones not just KICentral.com or w/e

I imagine you can just iron on some letters on the back.

Can we submit more than one design?

Yes, but try to keep it under 3.

I may a enter a design. I think I have a good idea. Anyone have a link for the KICentral Store? I tried the one on the homepage but it doesn't work.

I have it turned off, there are no products in it anyway.

What's the policy on using copyrighted material or other people's work (photographs, logos, etc)?

I'd assume they're all no-nos...

It was stated in the original post that you may use photos from KIC's gallery or your own photos only. Everything else must be original.

Yeah and the one I submitted to you earlier I forgot to put my username in the email but my email adress was zachtn88@gmail.com if you got it.

I'm gonna ask the same thing, because I'm not sure if I remembered to put my username in. Did you get my entry? It was from jordohill@bellsouth.net

I use photoshop cs4 its really a must have for graphic design. It is expensive but its well worth the money!

We use Photoshop alot for editing of photos, but for creating logos, we use vector based programs, ie, Coreldraw and Illustrator.

I can't wait to see what people come up with! And dont worry if you guys cant make it too detailed, I can always digitize it.
