May 12, 200917 yr Hmm. I thought Paramount, oh, I don't know, wanted to get out of the theme park business?

May 13, 200917 yr they wanted out but they could have done better, and tried harder and had lots of parks now???????? Oh well wish them the best , but really Paramount?
May 13, 200917 yr Paramount is not actually doing the parks. They are just licensing their name and films to the developers.
May 13, 200917 yr And they is Viacom. It was CBS who wanted out of the park business, and extracted such a high price from Cedar Fair, who wanted the Paramount Parks. At one time, Viacom owned the parks, but when Viacom split into Viacom and CBS, CBS "got stuck" with the low growth North American theme parks. Viacom has since also licensed Nick Universe to Mall of America in Minnesota, mere miles from Valleyfair of Cedar Fair fame.
