July 4, 200917 yr I was just watching the webcam and noticed they put a train in the shed, anyone have any ideas as to why?

July 4, 200917 yr Author There expecting rain I would guess. (They can only run 2 trains in the rain) why is that?
July 4, 200917 yr There expecting rain I would guess. (They can only run 2 trains in the rain) why is that? Safety Reasons. Trains can slip through the brakes which would cause a big mess.
July 4, 200917 yr Diamondback has a "Rain Mode" setting for days like this if you watch there will always be a extra block between each train at all times. If the green train is in the station then the gold train is on the transfer track block.
July 4, 200917 yr slip through magnetic brakes? i see that unlikely DB doesn't just have magnetic brakes, It also has skid brakes. There are only magnetic brakes on the trim(I think) and the final brake run.
July 4, 200917 yr slip through magnetic brakes? i see that unlikely Magnetic brakes can only slow a train, not completely stop it. The brakes the press against the fins on the bottoms of the trains (and operate with compressed air) actually stop the trains. Edit: ..There are only magnetic brakes on the trim(I think) and the final brake run. The trim brake isn't magnetic. It is a skid brake (or whatever the ones with the air compressor pushing the two sides together). You can tell because you hear the *whoooosh* whereas you don't hear magnetic brakes.
July 4, 200917 yr Maybe because it's not too crowded, we were expecting huge crowds but I think the rain scared everyone away.
July 4, 200917 yr ^Well I'm not going to say it is not crowded but it isn't the crowds that were expected.
July 4, 200917 yr Author compared to yesturday its fairly empty. but even if the crowds are low they should still be running 3, when have they pulled a "Worlds of Fun" at KI?
July 4, 200917 yr If its better than yesterday I want to go. I went yesterday and I could handle that. EDIT: Its raining down here in Kings Mills...
July 4, 200917 yr and except the Crypt Alex, who just had to... Also, only two trains are running still...
July 4, 200917 yr I was there today when they pulled one of the DB trains which was after it started to rain. The park wasn't crowded today but just came home anyway because for me its just not fun riding in the rain and getting my face stung by the raindrops.
July 5, 200917 yr I enjoyed riding in the rain, I was hoping it would have kept some people away, but the lines weren't bad. Except for The Beast, which was running only 1 train.
July 5, 200917 yr Given that the rain is gone...it would seem that: Most likely Signs point to yes Outlook good As I see it yes Terpy, who knows some will know where those divinations came from.
July 5, 200917 yr Ask again later. I hated it when they said that. It's like...what else do you have to do? lol
July 5, 200917 yr All 3 trains today....and very minimal lines. The place seemed empty compared to Friday
July 6, 200917 yr If its raining I highly doubt the rides will be running. I rode Diamondback when it was pouring rain usally only thunderstorms close the rides down.
July 6, 200917 yr Not under CF policy, only steady rain (anyone can correct me) will close rides down. Saftey percaution.
